Chapter 231 - Ripples Across the Cosmos

When the six peak disciples of Nax vanished into the void, the universe didn't calm—

it stirred.

The Dao's resonance, unleashed by Lucien's clone in the midst of the Azure Games, didn't simply enlighten the participants. It bled into the ley lines of Azure Blue… into the wind… into the rivers… into the foundations of cultivation itself.

And the aftermath was immediate.

And terrifying.

And beautiful.

Sect disciples woke from deep meditation with glowing eyes, their bottlenecks shattered.

Children with no cultivation talent suddenly felt warmth stirring in their dantians.

Ancient beasts in secluded mountains opened their eyes, letting out low, resonant growls as their bloodlines stirred.

Elder Ryokia of the Azure Dragon Sect stumbled while walking across his courtyard as a thin, draconic scale appeared on his palm—his latent Azure Dragon Heartline waking after 300 years of dormancy.

Matriarch Seiryo of the Moon Shadow Clan sat beneath the moon, speechless, as the moon itself bent a sliver of its glow toward her, turning the light silver-violet. Her shadow form evolved further, as if the Dao whispered, "Walk deeper."

On distant floating islands and icy continents, cultivators everywhere awakened to a world subtly… raised.

Sharper.

Brighter.

More alive.

Azure Blue itself had stepped into a new era—The Era of Enlightened Breath, the historians would call it generations later.

The cultivation world never slept.

And when news spread that one man had gathered all major sects…

guided them with enlightenment…

and forced the Demon Lord Uriel Seymour to kneel like a mortal in front of millions…

The star networks ignited.

On Planet Veylor, scholars debated whether Lucien Dreamveil was a reincarnated True One.

On Erethon, mercenary kings issued strict orders—not to interfere with Azure Blue "under any circumstances."

On the floating temples of Celestium-9, monks knelt and prayed, whispering the new name they'd heard:

"Heaven Void Paradox."

And deeper still… somewhere in a forgotten star system, a slumbering ancient being opened one eye.

Just one.

And that was enough to tremble the meteor belts around it.

"Dreamveil… that name again…"

Lucien's clone walked calmly toward the Dreamveil estate, the morning sky soft and gold. Behind him, Guru walked lazily with his hands behind his head, tail swaying, and Vaelion strolled with a relaxed smirk.

Aelira was clutching her father's sleeve, practically glowing from the spectacle earlier.

"Papa," she chirped, "are we going home now?"

Lucien's clone ruffled her hair.

"We are. But first… let's finish what was awakened inside you."

Aelira blinked. "My bloodline?"

Guru smirked. "Kid, your bloodline was half-awake and you were already impressive. When it's fully awakened? Hooh… Papa Dreamveil won't be able to hide you anymore."

Vaelion added, "Your heartbeat alone might scare half the sect when it's done."

Aelira giggled shyly. "Is that good?"

Lucien lowered himself to eye-level with her.

"It's perfect."

He placed two fingers on her forehead.

A soft hum—a hum older than creation—vibrated through the air.

The ground beneath her feet glowed.

The clouds overhead spiraled.

The air trembled.

Then—

BOOM.

Aelira's aura exploded silently, like a blooming lotus in a vacuum.

Feathers of shadow-light emerged briefly behind her—three pairs—before fading into her body. Her irises shifted into luminous dual-tones: one silver, one midnight blue.

Guru's jaw dropped a little.

Vaelion let out a long whistle.

Lucien smiled faintly.

"Aelira. Your bloodline has now fully awakened—The Celestial Void Seraph. One of the rarest among all mortal universes."

Aelira blinked twice.

Then smiled brightly.

"Thank you, Papa."

While returning to the estate, Lucien's clone didn't have to look back to know someone was following him. The footsteps were cautious, respectful, and trembling.

Uriel Seymour.

Once the Demon Lord feared across a dozen continents.

Now… a powerless mortal with shaking knees.

Guru snorted. "Why's he crawling behind us like a lost puppy?"

Uriel instantly dropped to one knee, head bowed so low it almost hit the ground.

"I—I wasn't crawling. I'm simply following Master Dreamveil from a respectful distance!"

Vaelion sipped from his tea gourd.

"You can talk again? Look at that. Progress."

Uriel flinched at the mockery, but didn't lift his head.

Lucien's clone finally stopped walking.

Uriel froze, terrified.

He didn't dare breathe loudly.

Lucien turned, looking down at him.

"You've been trailing behind me since the Colosseum. Why?"

Uriel swallowed, voice hollow from trauma.

"B-because… because I cannot displease you.

Not again.

Not ever."

Lucien stared quietly.

No anger.

No pity.

Only calm.

"Stand."

Uriel scrambled to his feet, still trembling.

"You no longer have demonic powers," Lucien said plainly. "But a useless mortal is of no use to me either."

Uriel's heart dropped.

But then—

Lucien's clone extended a hand and tapped his chest lightly.

A soft ripple.

A faint glow.

A seed of power—not demonic, not cursed—took root in Uriel's core.

"You will cultivate The Path of the Serene Sentinel," Lucien said. "A guardian's path. Stability, resilience, clarity. No destruction. No chaos."

Uriel's eyes widened.

"Y-You're giving me… another chance?"

"No," Lucien said. "I'm giving Aelira a guardian."

Aelira tilted her head.

"Him?"

Lucien nodded.

"Uriel Seymour will watch over you at the Azure Celestial Sect.

He will protect you as long as you live there.

He owes me his life—and now, you as well."

Uriel immediately dropped to his knees before Aelira.

"Little Lady Aelira… I swear on my new life, on my breath, on everything I am—I will protect you with everything I have."

Aelira blinked, surprised but pleased, and gave a tiny nod.

"Okay! Then you're my knight."

Uriel's eyes widened.

"I—I am honored…!"

Guru burst out laughing.

"A demon lord turned knight for a kid. I've seen everything."

Vaelion smirked.

"It suits him."

Lucien's clone lifted Aelira into his arms, ready to head home.

"Uriel," he said without turning back, "do not fail her."

"I won't," Uriel said immediately, forehead pressed to the ground. "Never."

As they neared the estate, Guru scratched his ear lazily.

"So… you're planning to go to Heaven soon?"

Lucien's clone gave a faint smile.

"Yes."

Vaelion's brows rose. "Hmm… the high heavens won't be ready."

Lucien's clone looked toward the distant sky, voice soft.

"That's their problem."
