Hearing Liu Xiu, Gwen looked surprised. "Your memory… has recovered?"

The resulting shockwave radiated outward from their fists, clearing dust from the ground beneath them, leaving the floor cleaner than a freshly swept street.
This first clash surprised both Meng Ran and the bald man.
Each was taken aback by the other's strength. Though their faces remained calm, their minds were calculating.
Meng Ran thought to himself, This bald man's strength is enormous. I didn't even go all out, yet my punch was not easily handled.
Judging by current strength, this bald man can rival the Hulk in his normal state.
The bald man thought silently, This Ghost lives up to its reputation, able to match me in raw strength.
Though both were strategizing mentally, their hands moved without hesitation.
After a straight punch clash, Meng Ran and the bald man engaged in a full-on grapple.
They exchanged blows back and forth, the muffled "bang bang bang" marking the intensity of their fight.
As the fight continued, Meng Ran gradually understood the bald S-class esper's power.
His ability was simple: immense strength and super defense.
The highest-tier S-class ability wasn't flashy—it was raw power and resilience.
Meng Ran had once wondered what maxing out strength and defense would feel like. Now he finally understood.
This bald man was a walking tank. Neither Meng Ran's fists nor the sharp tendrils of his venom could inflict meaningful damage.
Although Meng Ran's strength surpassed the bald man, his defense was far weaker.
"Are you trying to tickle me?"
The bald man mocked when he saw Meng Ran's attacks were ineffective.
Meng Ran snorted. "Don't worry. The show has just begun. No matter how hard a turtle shell is, it's destined to be smashed and stewed."
"This one's no exception. I'll show you how a turtle shell is opened." Meng Ran flipped out his Cutting Cloud sword.
Under the bright moonlight, the blade gleamed with a chilling radiance, like a stream of icy water.
The moonlight reflected off the surface, resembling rippling waves.
Meng Ran held the sword with both hands, his cold killing intent locking onto the bald man. His hoarse voice slithered like a demon's whisper from the abyss into the bald man's ears:
"Are you ready to meet death?"
