"When I destroyed that one, another lighter came out from his right sleeve."
"Every time I thought he was out of lighters, he'd pull out a new one and burn my web again."

After understanding the battle, Meng Ran turned his attention to the three lying on the ground.
The fight was over, and it was time to reap the rewards.
Meng Ran extended his hands, which transformed into black venom, and began wrapping around the three people in front of him.
Gwen and the others remained silent, keeping watch over the surroundings.

Earlier, he had gained some intel from the bald man; now he intended to gather more from these three.
Once back at the base, he planned to integrate this information and brief the Hexagram Alliance with Liu Xiu, arranging combat strategies against Blackwater and the monsters.
Liu Xiu knew some of the past events, but he was completely unaware of what happened during his amnesia.
Now, with monsters—an ability-user mercenary company—opposing the Hexagram Alliance, the dynamics had shifted.
Meng Ran originally thought that after the Crocodile Gang incident, Blackwater would recognize his strength and stop harassing him.
But with Liu Xiu's involvement, Blackwater and the monster company now opposed the Hexagram Alliance.
Meng Ran still didn't know what had transpired between Liu Xiu and the monster company, but judging from Liu Xiu's unfortunate experiences and the mercenaries sent by the company, it was likely not a trivial grudge.
As Meng Ran's thoughts raced, the venom completed its possession of the three people and returned to him.
