Chapter 163 - Chapter 163: Porco

It was Porco.

That Porco.

The bastard, the piece of trash Porco who, out of jealousy, rammed Roger off a cliff and left him permanently crippled!

Back then, afraid that his older brother wouldn't, like him, inherit the Jaw Titan, he shoved Roger—who had the greatest chance of inheriting it—off the cliff.

Roger still remembered.

It hadn't been the first time he'd done something like that.

Back when they'd all still been Warrior candidates, Porco often used all kinds of dirty tricks to snatch other people's food, and to steal the positions that should have belonged to them.

In the past, since it had nothing to do with him, Roger hadn't paid it much attention, much less tried to stop it.

He never imagined that one day the same thing would happen to him.

Because he hadn't put a stop to it in time, the calamity had finally spread to him as well.

Roger was furious—furious at Porco's despicable behavior, and furious at himself, for having always remained indifferent to such malice.

In his original impression, Porco hadn't been that kind of person.

Porco had his own problems, and he saw reality clearly.

There was a time in the past when Roger had thought they were the same sort of people.

But he'd been wrong.

Because he so rarely interacted with others, he'd had no way to see the ugliness they bottled up inside, no way to see their true nature.

From that day on, Roger had resolved to change himself.

But before changing himself, he'd made a vow.

He would kill Porco, and tear him to pieces.

Even though, over the years, the name "Porco" had rarely surfaced in his mind, and Roger had no idea what Porco had been doing all this time…

A vow was still a vow.

Roger would keep his word.

Anything he said he would do, he would do.

"Long time no see, Porco."

Breaking the silence, Roger suddenly spoke.

The Jaw Titan, having gone through multiple evolutions and inheritances, had already developed lips and vocal organs.

Although the armored lower jaw made speaking difficult, he could still manage a full sentence.

Porco now looked quite strange—nothing like the Porco Roger remembered.

But no matter what, even if his face turned to ash, Roger would still recognize it.

"There's nothing to talk about between us, Roger," Porco said coldly. "You should've died by my hand years ago!"

With that, Porco slowly began to float toward Roger.

Seeing this, Dior chuckled softly.

"Heh heh, so it's a reunion between old friends. In that case, I'll leave you to it…"

When he finished speaking, a black hole opened up and he stepped inside.

"Even if you kill Roger, it doesn't matter. Go ahead, Porco."

Dior tossed those words back as he left.

Porco had never imagined Dior would say something like that.

From what he'd seen in the years following Dior, Dior was an extremely self-willed man—stubborn, paranoid, and indifferent to his underlings.

And now he was telling him to freely kill Roger, the one who carried the Source of the World. Was that not proof of his trust?!

"I understand, Lord Dior. I'll capture Roger intact and deliver him to you."

As he spoke, his face was filled with devotion.

Inside the black hole, someone asked Dior why he'd done that.

Dior merely smiled.

"Porco is a slave down to his bones. I know him better than anyone. If you try to restrain him, he won't necessarily listen, but if you trust him, he'll do everything he can to please you."

And that was exactly how it was.

Originally, Porco had thought that if Dior didn't allow him to kill Roger, then he would, no matter what, find a way to kill Roger anyway.

That way, he'd be able to close his eyes in the afterlife without regret—even if Dior killed him afterward, it wouldn't matter.

But now, Dior trusted him.

Since Dior believed in him, there was no way he could betray that trust.

At that very moment, Vanilla watched the scene before him with jealousy.

The order he'd been given was to capture Roger—but absolutely not to let him die.

And now Lord Dior had handed the chance to kill Roger over to this piece of trash Porco.

"Damn it…"

He seethed with anger.

But under Dior's pressure, he truly couldn't do anything too extreme.

He stretched out a hand and, for some reason, Porco suddenly flew as if flung, hurled straight toward Roger.

Whoosh!!

Like a bullet shot from a gun, Porco rocketed toward Roger at incredible speed.

Roger twisted his body and dodged.

Not only did he avoid him with ease, he even snatched the flying Porco into his hand.

"Let go of me, bastard!"

"Huh?"

???

Watching Porco struggling and crying out in the center of his palm, Roger was momentarily baffled.

Are you kidding me right now?!

Your big move is just to charge in and body-check me like some brainless brute?!

The fuck?

He'd actually thought Porco would whip out some unexpected technique and easily break the siege.

But this…?

Seriously?

With Porco crushed in his palm, Roger suddenly felt two presences there.

Two human-shaped "objects."

One was Porco.

And the other… what?

A ghost?

"Fight me head-on if you've got the guts, Roger!! Let me go!!"

Porco screamed.

Roger, on the other hand, burst out laughing.

"Hahahaha, you've gotta be fucking kidding me…"

So weak it was ridiculous, and he still loved to yell.

No wonder, back then, he hadn't even scored higher than Reiner.

As expected, this idiot Porco was all brawn and no brains.

Roger really couldn't help himself.

But suddenly, he felt a faint prickling in his hand—

Like nails piercing into his skin.

"Are you seriously biting me?!"

Roger was a little annoyed, but when he thought about how weak Porco had become, he didn't bother to think too much about it.

He'd just treat it like being bitten by an ant.

Roger relaxed.

But at that moment, Vanilla was utterly dumbfounded.

And not just Vanilla—even Dior and the others in the black hole were shocked.

"How can he be this weak?"

"Porco, that idiot…"

"Why isn't he going all out?"

"His Stand, [God's Servant], is clearly an extremely powerful Stand—how could he become so weak when facing Roger?"

"Could it be—!!"

Suddenly, Dior's furious voice thundered across the sky.

"Vanilla! Porco has betrayed me. I order you—kill that traitor at once!"

With a resounding boom, everyone suddenly understood.

Vanilla vanished again, using his Stand ability to immediately charge toward Porco in Roger's hand!

Hearing this, Roger frowned.

Wait.

What?

Betrayed?

That was a lot to take in at once; Roger didn't understand what was going on yet.

But Porco reacted instantly, and blurted out a rushed string of words to Roger:

"Roger! Go to the Forest of Giant Trees! Mr. Torin is waiting for you there!!"
