Chapter 15

Samael POV

I opened my eyes with difficulty. My mind was still replaying the dream I had about the fight with Rimuru that ended with us spending a beautiful time together, and I couldn't help but hope that it was true while, at the same time, being terrified that I might need to fight her in the real world. The methods my mind conceived for her fighting style were extremely terrifying to me.

Seriously now, why the fuck would someone, especially her, attack me in that part of the body without any restraint?

Seriously, how the fuck did that even hurt? I am immune to damage, and I can imagine the catastrophic consequences of a single kick to my balls.

I shivered at the thought and then smiled, because even if that part was not good, the continuation was perfect. She decided that she, as the winner, had a request to make, and I would be obliged to fulfill it.

And to my further confusion, she decided to ask for a night together. Huh… what a fantastic dream.

"Umm…"

I felt my body stiffen at the sound and looked down.

A beautiful girl was sleeping on my chest with a smile on her face, and when I looked at the girl's face, my mind went completely blank.

Rimuru was sleeping on my chest, and for some reason both of us were completely naked.

I wanted to move at that moment, but then I realized that if I tried, I would probably disturb her sleep, and I still needed to find out what happened last night.

[Rafael, can you explain to me what happened? I think I have some amnesia or something, because I don't remember exactly how I ended up in this situation.]

[Answer: After your fight with Rimuru last night, she decided to take her chances, and as her husband you will need to fulfill your duty.]

I felt a cold sweat run down my back as I heard her voice. She was more stoic than before. She sounded like she did when she was just Sage, the machine-like presence she had before my connection with Rimuru was established.

[R-Rafael, is something the matter? Did I do something wrong?]

[Answer: There is no problem. After all, you ignored your second wife for your first wife for three days. Why should there be something the matter?]

Fuck… Think, moron, think! What can you do to make her feel better?

[What do you say about a date, just the two of us? It can be whatever you want.] I said, hoping that this would be enough to make up for what I had done to her, even if I didn't truly understand what had happened or why it was my fault. Better that way than finding out that I had become infertile or worse…

[That will be acceptable. We are going on a date in the world of Sirius, and you are not allowed to go on any other dates before me. Do not forget that, or the punishment is going to be much harder than it should be.]

I let out a sigh of relief. At least I escaped disaster.

Wait a second… Sirius's world? When did that become possible?

[Rafael, when did the possibility of going to Sirius's world become possible?]

[We could have gone the moment you finished your evolution. I did not tell you that because you needed to finish all the work that was still ongoing in the capital.]

I tried to respond with something, but then I remembered the mountain of paperwork I needed to sign, verify, and process, and I shut both my mouth and my thoughts.

Yeah… that was a lot.

[Thank you, Rafael. You are the best.] I said and ignored the fact that she had forced me to ask for a date, or whatever punishment she had in mind for me, because apparently, I had ignored her for three days.

Wait… three days!?

[Rafael, what do you mean by three days? Did that much time really pass?]

[Yes. It has been three days since your passionate night started, and here I am not referring to the fight with Rimuru, but the 'fight' with Rimuru.]

I felt my face turn crimson, all my shame exposed for all to see. Thankfully, it was just Rimuru and Rafael here, with the latter monitoring us for some reason.

[…]

"Umm…"

I felt the girl on my chest stir again, and this time she looked up, pulling her hair aside with one hand while rubbing her left eye. Then she let out a yawn.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," I said, looking at her.

The moment she looked at me; her face became crimson.

Maybe she remembered what happened last night… or to be precise, the last three nights.

She didn't answer me, but looked around her and then, for some reason, punched my abdomen.

"What was that for?" I said, my left eye twitching at the disrespect.

"This is not a dream?" she asked, tilting her head to the left and blinking again with an innocent smile, as if what she did was completely normal.

Yes, I don't feel pain, but that doesn't mean it's okay for her to punch me whenever she wants.

I will have my revenge.

With that thought in mind, I started pinching her cheeks while asking Rafael to stop her pain nullification.

"Ohm… stop it… I… I cannot speak like this…" she tried to say to me, but I didn't stop. This was her punishment, and she needed to stop with her impulsive decisions and stupid rationality.

"Now say you are sorry," I said, pinching her harder and smiling at the minimal amount of pain I was inflicting on her right now. This was the payment for the punch and for her kick during our last fight.

Yeah… this was not enough, but it was all I could think of right now. And the fact that we had just had our first three nights…

Yeah, I needed to think about how we would make that possible with our extreme schedules.

"I-I-I'm sorry…" she said, trying to escape my grasp.

After looking at her for ten more seconds, I let her go.

"Now can you tell me why you punched me?" I asked, still a little furious at her, but at the same time I couldn't stop my lips from twitching into a smile.

She is too adorable like this.

After she finished rubbing her cheeks, she looked at me with that furious and adorable face that made me want to do it again just to see it longer.

"You are mean," she said, looking at me as if I had done it without any reason.

"Tell me why you punched me," I said with a calm expression, hoping that she would answer this time.

"Because I wanted to know if this was real or not," she said, as if that was the normal reaction to have when you wake up on someone's chest.

Why do I feel like she thinks that is reasonable?

"Rimuru, that is not how people normally do things," I said as calmly as possible.

"But it's not like you feel any pain, right?" she said, as if that made perfect sense.

For some reason, I started to consider that maybe she was right, but then I shook my head and looked at her with an annoyed expression.

"Yes, I do not feel pain, but that doesn't mean you can punch your husband whenever you want."

She looked away, embarrassed, and started to whistle.

I let out a sigh in disappointment.

"Okay, I will let this slide for today, but next time you will not be that lucky. But that doesn't mean you will not receive a little punishment for what you did," I said, smiling at her with something eviler than I felt.

She shivered and started looking at me with a pleading expression.

"Can we not do the punishment?" she asked, as if that were a normal request.

"Hmm. If I remember correctly, I got punished for doing something stupid like going to war alone without telling you anything about it, right? If I remember correctly, isn't that what you did against the Orc Lord and that daughter of Veldora? Isn't that enough ground for punishment?"

I smiled at her innocently.

Yep. I do not keep a grudge.

"Oh, and before I forget, don't ask Rafael for any help right now because she is preparing for our date in the future. And honestly, I don't think she's quite happy with you right now… or with me, for that matter."

She looked at me in terror at that moment, and with a trembling smile she asked what I was going to do.

"That is quite simple. You remember how you kept the animal ears and tail before, right? I will ask Rafael to do something identical, but this time the ears and other details are going to change with your emotions." I smiled at her as if I had just made the perfect decision of my life and continued. "And for those things not to happen again, I will give you one of the demons I summoned during the war against Falmouth as your bodyguard and assistant." I said this while thinking that this was the only possible reason, I could send someone to guard her that she would accept.

She looked at me in terror for a second, but then, as if this were nothing too serious, she smiled brightly and raised a hand in the air.

"Understood!" she said with an adorable demeanor.

I looked down at her and couldn't help but smile again as I admired that perfect body. It didn't take long before she realized where I was looking. She didn't scold me or say anything about it, but she started pushing me down.

"Rimuru, I think we should not start again," I said, using all my willpower to resist her advances.

"And why should we stop?" she asked, moving her hand down my chest like a mischievous gremlin.

"Because…" I tried to say with all my strength, "…we have work to do, and we already spent three days here. If we do not go faster, people are going to enter this place, and I don't think most of them will survive that encounter." I said this, hoping she would understand that I would kill anyone who saw her like this.

"Tch, fine. You win…" she said, standing up and changing her naked figure into royal attire. Before I could say anything, a pair of cat ears appeared on her head and a tail swayed behind her.

"Now come on, we have work to do, didn't you say that?" she said, looking at me with a mischievous expression while my eyes refused to stop looking at her ass.

"Y-Yeah, I'm coming."

I paused for a moment, and before I knew it, I started following her, changing my clothes into something like hers. Of course, she was wearing a dress, while I was wearing a suit.

The moment I reached her, she placed my hand in hers and, with a smile on her face, forced me to move faster toward the door.

[Rafael, do we have the possibility to change the time flow inside the dimension, or at least in one of the dimensions?] I asked, hoping my guess was correct.

[Do not worry. I already changed the time in that dimension. Outside, you both have only spent one night together.]

The moment I heard that; I felt a wave of relief. It seemed I had found a solution for our nightly activities from now on.

Sirius POV

I yawned as I exited the bedroom to go drink a glass of water.

Last night, Shizu was more intense than I expected. Apparently, my invitation to go to my world with me was enough for her to give me quite the reward.

Yep, my life will become even better the moment I take the first step through that portal.

Who would have thought that the best way to have the perfect life is to die, huh?

The only thing that still annoys me and keeps me from enjoying this life to the fullest is my godson, who at this moment is probably fighting that madman. Now I could probably kill that guy with a single gesture, but hey, now I'm fucking overpowered.

Maybe I'm some kind of protagonist?

I read about those in the books that Veldora is reading right now from Samael's memories.

Now that I place myself in that position… a man with a traumatic past is sent to another world, where he encounters one of the most powerful people in the entire world. That person gives him power and helps him take revenge on the ones who wronged him.

Yep, I'm totally a protagonist!

Now how do I make sure that Samael isn't my master who is going to die tragically to save me?

Wait… can he even die, for that matter?

Hmm. The only person I think could truly kill him at this moment is Veldanava or his family. After all, even if he dies, which is probably the least likely option, Rimuru could just revive him and then punish him for doing something stupid.

I nodded to myself because this was making perfect sense. After all, who is going to attack the son-in-law of the creator?

Yep. I am a protagonist, and my best friend is the overpowered protagonist's friend.

Does that even make sense?

It does make sense to me, so that probably means it doesn't matter what anyone else believes.

As these thoughts crossed my mind, I smiled to myself.

Then I heard a door opening.

I turned my head toward the hallway and saw Rimuru dragging Samael outside. She was wearing a blue dress with golden embroidery, while Samael was wearing a black medieval suit.

I blinked at him once.

Twice.

Then, realizing this was the perfect moment, I started laughing like a hyena.

"What the hell are you wearing? Ha ha ha…"

I placed a hand over my face, trying to keep my voice low so I wouldn't wake my girlfriend.

Wait a second…

Isn't she now my fiancée?

My laughter stopped as I started pondering this extremely important question, completely ignoring the glare Samael was sending me.

"What? This is the best I could think of, okay? Don't judge me," he said.

I rolled my eyes.

Yeah… if someone believed that they would be a fool. I'm sure it's the only thing he could imagine after staring at Rimuru this morning.

If I'm correct, and I'm one hundred percent sure that I am, then Samael has just exited his virgin state.

Huh.

I already did that when I was in Hogwarts.

Now that I think about it… it might be better if Shizu never finds out about my adventures at Hogwarts.

I don't think she's going to approve of most of the things we did as teenagers.

While pondering these questions and thinking about the best way to make sure Remus doesn't spill the beans to my fiancée, I heard Rimuru speak.

"…You should ask Rafael to change your attire."

I didn't listen to everything, of course, because I had much more important thoughts at that moment, but the rest of the conversation went smoothly. Finally, I saw Samael change from that stupid costume into something more presentable for his new position.

Now the best question right now is: where is Veldora?

Did he go inside the prison? Maybe I should make a visit there to make sure nothing too bad happened to them…

Who am I even kidding? I'm going to give them a lesson for making children into slaves.

Now that I think about it, I should ask most of the citizens of Tempest to have a go at them.

Maybe we should change the prison menu to something Shion is cooking?

Wait… what was the skill she received from the Harvest Festival?

If I remember correctly, she said something about food or something like that.

Oh… I hope it's not something that will make her cooking even worse than it already is. I tried her food once because I couldn't believe someone could be that bad at cooking, and I needed a full portion just to make sure I didn't die!

I don't even think Samael could survive her cooking after his evolution!

Seriously, that woman shouldn't be allowed inside a kitchen.

But the question is… who is going to tell her that?

I don't think there exists a single person in the entire kingdom who has enough courage to tell her to her face that her cooking is bad.

Samael POV

I looked at Sirius and let out a sigh. Why did I become friends with him again? Did fate really want my life to go this badly?

"Can you stop already?" I asked, but he just smiled at me like a fool. And this is my best friend, hmm?

I decided to just ignore the moron and focus again on what was truly important: Rimuru, and the fact that we needed to start preparing for the wedding.

And that thought terrified me more than I wanted to admit. Not the wedding itself, but what would happen next.

We will have a ton of political work to do. After all, the wedding is going to have Milim's friends and family as well, which, according to what she told us, means mostly Demon Lords and True Dragons.

Yep. A perfect moment for disaster.

We will probably have to make two weddings: one for the people of the country and another for friends and family, just to make sure someone doesn't annoy someone they shouldn't and get themselves killed.

Now that I think about it… should we keep the second wedding inside one of my dimensions?

That will ensure nothing too important gets destroyed if someone drinks too much.

"Can you stop staring at me already?" Rimuru asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I realized that my eyes had been on her the entire time and that I had forgotten to activate Thought Acceleration.

"Sorry about that. I was lost in my thoughts for a moment," I said, scratching my head in embarrassment.

"Sigh. What am I going to do with you?" she said, though I could see the smile she was trying to hide. "What were you thinking about?" she asked with curiosity.

"I was thinking about our wedding," I said truthfully.

She blinked at that.

"What about our wedding? You shouldn't think too much about it. Rafael is going to plan everything. It's something she started preparing for last year, so it's better if you just go with the flow."

She dismissed my concern with a gesture, and I sighed in relief. Truly, Rafael is doing too much for us.

[And you better not forget that.]

[Can you not start right now?] I asked Rafael after hearing her voice.

She didn't respond immediately, and I finished setting the table for us to start eating.

The moment I sat down on the chair, she materialized on my lap before Rimuru could even ask to take that place.

I blinked, not understanding for a second why she did that. Then she looked toward Rimuru, who was annoyed, and I finally understood.

She was jealous of Rimuru.

Now the question is, why is she jealous?

Rimuru POV

I looked at Rafael with my left eye twitching. She had taken my spot! Why did she do this? The answer is something that Samael probably would not understand, but for me it was quite simple.

I had found a method that could stop communication between her and Samael, and she was trying to show that she could stop me if she wanted.

She's not jealous, from what I understand of her. She simply doesn't like being ignored, and because of that, she is trying to punish me.

Do I feel like doing something about this?

Not really. It is annoying, yes, but it's not like I would stop her from showing affection toward Samael, or toward me for that matter. After all, she loved us both more than she liked to show, and I'm sure that she just wanted affection at the moment. Or maybe she was too excited from watching us last night.

Probably that.

Now how do I make sure she regrets doing this to me? Should I make her first night into a threesome?

It's better not to do that. I probably don't want to imagine what she's going to do if I interrupt her first night.

I blinked and looked again toward Rafael, who was looking at me with a mischievous smile. She had just sent me images of how she was going to make me regret it if I tried to do something.

Yep. Better not annoy her too much.

I will let her have this win.

Yes, it is because of my gratitude. Yes, yes, yes. Of course it's not like I'm afraid of anything, huh.

I decided to sit in front of Samael and ignore Rafael for the moment.

"So, dear," I started with a smile on my face. "What are you planning to do now? Umm… after all, now that you are here, are you going to become king, make all the decisions, and leave me to be just the queen?"

I asked Samael with a mischievous smile on my face, hoping he would take the bait. But to my disappointment, he just shook his head and sighed.

"No, Rimuru. I'm not going to take all your power or anything like that, so don't worry about it. What I'm going to do instead is help you with relationships between other dimensions."

He said something that took me off guard, and I blinked at him with a surprised expression.

Seeing my face, he continued.

"You see, after our evolution we gained the ability to create portals to other worlds, and one of those worlds whose coordinates we know is the one Sirius comes from."

He said this while pointing toward the man, who was looking at us with a surprised expression and trying to intervene in the conversation. I decided to ignore his reaction for the moment.

"Are you serious right now!?" I asked aloud, hoping this was true, because if it was, it would be extremely interesting.

Just thinking about it made me excited.

Other worlds!

And if what I found in Samael's memories is correct, then there is a possibility he has knowledge about those worlds. After all, he already had a book about the world Sirius comes from. Something he never took into consideration when speaking with Sirius or with anyone else, because from what I understand of him, this is reality, not a book.

If those books are somehow connected with reality or are just glimpses from one author into another world, then that is only a possibility, not certainty.

After all, if that were true, it would mean everything is controlled by destiny and nothing can be changed. But now the fact that we can go to that world proves that change is possible.

My mind began thinking about all the worlds I wanted to visit.

Maybe we could go to one of the worlds someone wrote about in a book. Or one I saw in a manga.

Wouldn't that be great?

We could have an entire vacation inside a completely different world and—

Samael POV

I looked toward Rimuru, who was staring into the air and completely ignoring me. Then I turned toward Sirius, who was looking at me with an excited expression, and I let out a sigh.

This is going to be troublesome.

"Sirius," he straightened when I called his name, "we are going to your world after the wedding. That will be mine and the girls' honeymoon."

I said this with a smile.

He looked at me in surprise, but at the same time he smiled and punched his chest proudly.

"Don't worry about money. I have enough to make sure you're going to have the best time possible. If you want, I can buy a whole island just for the four of you."

He said this with excitement at the idea of going back.

But before I could answer, Rafael poked my cheek.

I looked down at her and smiled, but she immediately pinched my waist and spoke in a dangerously sweet voice.

"Do not forget that you promised me the first date. So, we are going on a date before the honeymoon starts. Am I understood?"

"Y-yes, I understand. Don't worry, I won't forget."

I said this while a small tremble could be heard in my voice.

Sirius, as if this had nothing to do with him, decided to stand up and leave me to my doom without even looking back.

I will have my revenge.

Now, isn't there a potion in the wizarding world that can make someone change their gender?

My thoughts started going down a dangerous path, but I decided to ignore that for now, just imagining the despair on Sirius's face when my revenge finally begins.

"Oh."

I looked down and saw Rafael poking my cheek again.

"No. Don't do that to him," she said in a slightly threatening voice. "If you do that, he will start pranking people, and it will be your fault."

Seen Change

Rimuru and I were moving through the city with our hands intertwined and smiles on our faces.

I looked at the smiling citizens and the perfect atmosphere. My mind remembered what this place had been like not long ago. The corpses, the sadness, the despair on people's faces had disappeared overnight. Now they looked full of life and hope.

I would not be surprised if some of them started worshipping Rimuru as a goddess. Actually, I would be more surprised if they didn't. After all, she already looked like one.

I thought this as I turned my gaze from the people toward Rimuru, who was wearing a white kimono with a blue flower ornament in her hair.

Her hair was loose, and the smile on her face as she looked at every food stall made my mind go blank, leaving my body on autopilot.

And the thought that, no matter what happened, she was mine filled my heart with happiness.

What did I do to deserve this? Did I create some kind of panacea and simply forget about it?

Maybe. After all, if this is the reward for all the luck in my life, then I'm sure it was worth it.

"What are you thinking about?" she asked, looking at me with a confused expression.

"Nothing," I answered. "I was admiring the work of God in front of me."

I said it without thinking.

She turned crimson for a moment, and two white cat ears appeared on her head.

I blinked in surprise.

Then the ears changed color and took on a slightly tighter form.

"Oh, look! It's Shizu and Sirius!" she said.

Before I could do anything, she ran toward them as if her life depended on it.

I stood there with my mouth open, trying to understand why she reacted like that just because I gave her a compliment.

"Ooo, look who we have here!"

I turned toward the annoying voice and saw Gojo smiling at me with an expression that made me want to punch him. But I restrained myself. After all, he had done me a favor, something I would not forget unless he did something extremely stupid.

"Hey Gojo, how is the festival?" I asked with a smile.

"Hmm, I suppose it's going well. But the real question is: where is your beautiful wife? Did she leave you all alone here?" he asked curiously.

"She saw Sirius and Shizu somewhere and went to find them."

I left out the part where she ran away from me. After all, I didn't want to give him a reason to make fun of my predicament.

"Sirius?" he said, blinking. "He was there just a moment ago."

He pointed in the exact opposite direction Rimuru had run.

I felt my eye twitch at the realization.

She really ran away because I gave her a compliment?

Or does she want to do something without me?

"By the way, Samael-san," Gojo continued, "Sirius said you can already create a portal to his world. Is that true?"

I nodded.

"Yes, I can do that. Why?" I asked, already expecting this question.

"Can you send me home as well? I still have some work to do there, and the faster I get back the better."

He said this, and I was surprised by the look in his eyes. He was serious.

[Rafael, what do you think?]

[It is possible, but it is not recommended to let him go alone. The probability of his death is still high.]

[Thank you, Rafael. You are the best.]

[♡]

"We can probably go there when I'm finished helping Sirius," I said.

Before he could say anything, I continued.

"Don't worry about the time difference. From what I analyzed through the portal Sirius came from, it is possible to send someone back to the exact moment they left their world."

He didn't say anything for a moment.

Then, with the same serious expression, he asked, "Samael-san… are you a god or something?"

"Pffahaha! That was a good one! Me, a god? No, I'm a Demon Lord, not a god."

I laughed, small tears forming in the corner of my eyes.

"Hmm… who knows. At your level of power, people might think you are one. After all, not all gods are good."

He said that and left.

"Enjoy the festival, Samael-san!"

And just like that, I was alone again.

"Sigh…"

I looked at the sky with a hopeless expression.

But before I could think about what to do next, a hand took mine.

I looked at the culprit.

Rafael.

"Come on. I want to visit the whole festival."

And just like that, we started moving through the crowd.

Rimuru POV

I ran through the crowd of people to escape Samael. My eyes were twitching in frustration. Why did someone have to interfere with my perfect date?! I even had to make a deal with Rafael for it!

I was frustrated. Some emissaries from Eurazania had appeared at the entrance to the city, and Rafael told me that there was a 98% chance Samael would do something stupid if he came with me.

I don't know why, but she hasn't said anything yet that would make me doubt her, so I did the best thing I could think of: I found an excuse and left.

Why didn't I tell him about this?

I didn't want him to think I didn't trust him!

As I reached my office and closed the door behind me, I changed from the kimono into a black dress with silver lines along the seams.

I smiled at myself in satisfaction. This was one of Shuna's creations, and all I can say is: fantastic!

I sat down with a pleasant sigh and waited a second.

Knock! Knock!

"Lady Rimuru, a delegation from Eurazania asks for an audience."

"Let them in," I said toward the door with a calm voice.

Not long after, three individuals came inside, and I finally understood what Rafael had been referring to.

Phobio.

Just his presence alone would be enough for Samael to make sure he didn't survive.

They bowed in unison toward me, and I let them explain.

"Lady Rimuru, we came here to ask for help from Tempest," Albis said, and I gestured for her to continue.

"Demon Lord Milim Nava has declared war on our country."

I froze at her words.

Milim had declared war?

Why? What could Carrion have done to deserve that?

"Tell me everything," I ordered with a chilling expression.

And then I found out that they had done nothing. I even asked Rafael to verify the information, but nothing came up.

"Why do you ask me to help your country?" I asked them, now curious.

"We ask Tempest to take the refugees from us and keep them safe. Lord Carrion sent us here for that, and we hope that you are going to help us."

She said that, and everyone bowed in unison.

I let out a sigh. Maybe Rafael knew this, and that was the reason she said Samael shouldn't come. After all, if he heard that Milim had declared war on them, he might just kill them himself.

Sigh… maybe it is better if he does not help me here? After all, if he starts a war in another dimension, he can just leave, and that is it, right?

"I will help you," I said, and they smiled in relief. "But it will not be for free. I will speak with Carrion about the details later."

I said this, dismissing them as quickly as I could. After all, I still had a festival to enjoy.

"Lady Rimuru…" I heard the weak voice of Albis and looked at her.

"There is a possibility that Lord Carrion may not survive. After all, he has decided to fight Milim head-on."

She said that, and I looked at her like she was an idiot.

"Why did he do something like that? Is he suicidal or something? Milim is not someone he can fight at his level! I would not fight her as I am now! Where is his confidence coming from!?"

I started shouting curses at the stupidity of that idiot.

"Souei, escort them to the guest rooms and let them enjoy the festival for now. Tomorrow we are going to have a meeting about this. Dismissed."

I said that and waited for them to leave my office, accompanied by Souei, who had been following them all this time.

Now how should I make sure Samael doesn't want to kill the whole kingdom just to help Milim in her apparent war?

I know her, and I know that this situation is not like her at all, but Samael is so…

Agh, how should I do it? Maybe speak to him after sex?

I thought for a moment.

Maybe he would let me take care of this alone?

No, that would not work…

Maybe I can convince him to let me decide the strategy and have him follow me?

That could work, but I would need to make sure he doesn't think this will be dangerous for me in any way, or else he is going to assign a full army as my bodyguards, and I don't want that to happen.

Now that I think about it, Souei reported that some demons were summoned by Samael and are now in the city. I think he is going to be more relaxed if I have them as bodyguards, along with Shion and maybe Ranga.

Yes, that could work.

Hopefully.

[Rafael, can you send a message to the demons Samael summoned to come to my office?] I asked her with a mischievous grin on my face.

Yes. I'm going to make sure everything goes according to my plan.

Samael POV

We moved through the stalls full of food. The aroma was captivating. Meat from non-intelligent monsters filled the air, and what can I say? The smell was incredible!

Even Rafael was looking at it in wonder. Maybe she was doing this for my sake, but I felt happy about it at the very least.

"Do you want to try this?" I asked as I pointed toward a food stall that was selling some kind of chicken.

She looked at it for a moment, then nodded.

"Two plates, please," I said to the hobgoblin with a smile.

"Here you go, Samael-sama," he said as he gave me the food and then turned toward Rafael. "And who is this lovely lady? I thought you would be with Rimuru-sama this evening?" he asked with curiosity. It seemed that there was not a single bad thought in his mind.

But before I could answer, Rafael did it for me.

"I'm his second fiancée. It is a pleasure to meet you."

The hobgoblin was shocked for a moment, then gave me a thumbs up and congratulated me on my luck in life.

Is this normal? I pondered. Don't they think it is strange for someone to have more than one wife?

I watched Rafael. She was eating with a small smile, and I decided that it really didn't matter.

After we finished eating, we started moving toward the center of the city, where Rimuru and I would have a speech for the kingdom.

Sirius POV

"This place has become crowded," Shizu said beside me, and I started to look around as well.

The place was full of people. Now that I looked closer, most of the stalls were empty and everyone was looking toward the stage with anticipation.

"What is happening?" I asked with a tilt of my head.

"Rimuru-sama is going to make an announcement," a hobgoblin wearing a black kimono answered my question.

"Ah, thank you. Do you know what it is about?" I tried to find out more. Why didn't Samael tell me about this?

"I don't know exactly." The goblin shook his head. "But there is a rumor that it is about the war," he said, then looked around and added in a low voice, "You didn't hear this from me, but it is possible she is going to announce her marriage."

I blinked at him and, with a mischievous smirk, said, "Is that so? And who is going to be the lucky guy?"

Shizu, beside me, rolled her eyes, but I could see the warmth in them.

"We don't know exactly. The first residents say it is a man named Samael, but those of us who have never even seen that person cheer for Lord Benimaru! After all, he was always beside Rimuru-sama!" the man said with passion.

"Are you sure? I heard that Samael-san and Rimuru-san are extremely close. Don't you think they will marry?" I asked, hoping to start something interesting.

"But of course." The hobgoblin punched his chest in pride. "Lord Benimaru and Lady Rimuru are a match made in heaven!" he said louder than before.

"Don't say something like that!" one hobgoblin beside us said indignantly. "I was here before you even came, so I know what I'm talking about! Lord Samael made a promise to return, and he is going to marry Lady Rimuru! He kissed her goodbye and then left! Now that he has returned, it is of course to marry her!"

"What do you know…"

I looked at the chaos I had created with a smile.

Yes, this is the best feeling!

Shizu beside me looked exasperated at me. "Why did you start this?" she asked in a low voice.

"Because…" I said with a smile, "Samael is going to announce his marriage today, so the event should be entertaining, shouldn't it?" I wiggled my eyebrows. "And maybe this way Benimaru will have a chance to ask for Rimuru's hand in marriage, right?"

She hit me.

"You just want to see Samael furious, right?" She narrowed her eyes at me. "Or do you want to see Benimaru beaten?"

"Me?!" I said with a hurt look on my face. "How can you think that! I'm going to help my friend always! And of course I'm going to cheer for him!" I finished with a smirk.

"I'm telling Rimuru about what you did," she threatened me.

"Ahh, you hurt me! What can I do to make you change your mind, my lady?" I finished, blinking rapidly at her.

She placed a finger on her lips in thought. "How about…" she began, then finished in a whisper.

"What did you say? I couldn't hear you." I lowered myself in front of her face.

"I said that tonight…" she then finished in my ear.

My smile widened, and before she could take back what she said, I took her in my arms and started to go home.

"What are you doing!" she protested.

"I finished my part of the deal, of course," I answered honestly.

"What about the announcement?" she tried to make an excuse.

"Don't worry, I will find out tomorrow from Samael," I said, and then continued, "and it's not like we don't know exactly what is going to happen." A smile appeared on my lips. "And if Benimaru tries to make a move toward Rimuru, I'm one hundred percent sure he is going to escape with his life, at least."

She pouted at me, but I knew for a fact that she could have escaped from my grasp if she truly wanted.

Gojo POV

I was looking at the chaos with a smile. Most of the residents of the city had come after rumors about Samael started spreading.

I did some investigating and found out that most of the people didn't even know much about Samael. Most of them only found out about him after the fight he had with Falmouth. Hmm, now that I think about it, massacre would be a better word for it.

I listened to the crowd and started to understand how many people really hoped for Rimuru and Benimaru to become a couple. Seriously now, people don't care about reasons, only about what they think is better.

A smirk appeared on my face.

I wonder what face Samael will make when he finds out.

I remembered the first time I saw him furious. Now how is he going to react when his country tries to pair his wife with another man?

Hmm, should I start a bet about the chances of Benimaru surviving this day? Or how many hits it will take for Samael to beat Benimaru?

Yes, that is a genius idea!

And a way to make money…

Wait, do I even need to make money? My boss is the king, so I should have a good salary, right?

I stopped thinking when Rimuru stepped onto the platform with Samael just beside her. And just as I was expecting, some of the people looked saddened but still hoped for the result they wanted as Benimaru climbed onto the platform not long after.

Oh, this is going to be entertaining.
