Boom!
Boom!
In a flash, Kaido charged straight at Lancelot, his speed terrifyingly fast, the power erupting from him just as monstrous.
Once!
Twice!
A relentless barrage of savage blows followed one after another, as though he meant to swallow everything whole, to tear the world itself apart. Yet in the face of Kaido's ferocious onslaught, Lancelot remained utterly calm—her expression unchanged from beginning to end.
Clang!
Her fist stopped Kaido's kanabo dead in its tracks. Armament Haki collided and intertwined, yet nothing seemed to shift in the slightest.
"…"
Lamorak glanced at Kaido, silent as ever. Then her other fist swung out and smashed forward. A terrifying shockwave exploded outward in an instant—so overwhelming that it sent a chill rising from the depths of one's soul.
Sensing the danger of that power, Kaido twisted aside. He knew all too well just how frightening that blow was.
"Thunder Bagua!"
Even as he retreated, Kaido launched a counterattack.
Boom!
The crushing force slammed into Lamorak's body—yet she looked completely unconcerned. Staring at the kanabo that struck her, she instead raised her arm and drove a punch straight toward Kaido.
"What?!"
Kaido was momentarily stunned. No matter how terrifying someone's recovery was, this made no sense. She shouldn't be able to take that without a single injury—nothing at all!
Because of that—
Kaido rapidly retreated, while Lamorak pressed in close. With both fists clenched, she unleashed another storm of devastating blows. Faced with Lamorak's overwhelming strength, Kaido had no way to take it head-on.
There was no choice.
When someone's raw power reached such an absurd level, perhaps the truly top-tier fighters might shrug it off—but for Kaido, it was a nightmare. His strength simply wasn't enough. Innate, god-given physical power like this was downright disgusting.
No matter how strong you were, she would smash you flat through sheer brute force alone. That was why the giants were known as the world's strongest race—not just because of their massive size, but because of their terrifying strength. One giant might not mean much, but when their numbers reached a certain point, everything changed completely.
Right now, Kaido felt exactly like that.
He was miserable. Even though he managed to counterattack from time to time, every blow he landed on Lamorak seemed utterly meaningless.
Forget injuries—there wasn't even a scratch on her body.
That was what confused Kaido the most.
"Damn it!"
"What the hell is going on?!"
His head throbbed. How could someone be this strong? Kaido couldn't be blamed for thinking that way—it was simply too bizarre, as though he were facing an incomparable monster.
No attack worked. No offensive meant anything. It was unbelievable.
And yet—
No matter what, Kaido refused to believe that someone could truly be that terrifying. Killing intent surged in his eyes. He spun around, and another strike came crashing down.
"Demolishing Wind!"
Kaido opened his mouth and unleashed a howling tempest. The raging wind roared forth, as if it would devour everything in its path. But even in the face of such an attack, Lamorak charged straight through without hesitation, completely indifferent to how powerful it was.
She headed straight for Kaido.
Crackle! Bang!
All the attacks landed on Lamorak's body—and she felt nothing. Not a single injury appeared.
"Heh-heh…"
Watching this, Gareth said with a smiling sigh, "Honestly, if you don't understand Sir Lamorak's ability, there's absolutely nothing you can do against her."
Galahad said solemnly, "Gareth, don't say any more. This is a war."
Gareth smiled. "Don't worry, Sir Galahad. I won't say it out loud."
"But still—"
"This man called Kaido is going to lose very, very badly."
Shaking his head with a grin, Gareth rejoined the battlefield, no longer paying Kaido any attention. The reason was simple—the outcome of this war was already decided. Kaido was destined to lose, and lose miserably.
Don't doubt it.
That was the truth.
Because Lamorak's power was simply too special.
To put it plainly, Lamorak bore both a blessing and a curse—a demon's curse and an angel's blessing intertwined within her, forming a unique constitution. Ordinary attacks could never harm her.
The demon's curse nullified all attacks filled with hatred.
The angel's blessing nullified all attacks carrying even the slightest goodwill.
That was why—
Lamorak was kind of a bugged existence among the Knights of the Round Table. And that alone was already terrifying enough. There were only two ways to injure her.
First: you had to maintain absolute calm—no emotional fluctuation whatsoever, at any time. Only then would Lamorak's defense cease to exist.
Second: even simpler—attack her with something that belonged to neither of those emotions.
For example—
Blood.
Human blood could break both the demon's curse and the angel's blessing, shattering Lamorak's invincible defense. But for someone meeting her for the first time, realizing this in the heat of battle was nearly impossible.
And by the time you truly understood it?
Hah...
You'd already be long dead.
That was why so few people knew Lamorak's secret. Even within the Knights of the Round Table, only a handful understood the core of her power.
Of course—
The demon's curse.
The angel's blessing.
These were merely manifestations of Lamorak's nature as a heroic figure born of myth—a being feared by demons and cherished by angels. Out of fear, demons bestowed a "curse." Out of joy, angels granted a "blessing."
Simply put, these powers were born from Lamorak herself.
And yet, they were never the entirety of her strength.
Never underestimate a person like her.
She was hailed as one of the three strongest Knights of the Round Table, and one of the most powerful. She was truly, terrifyingly strong.
"Hm?"
Watching Lamorak's display, Ochoku muttered to himself, "So strong… This Knight of the Round Table has a very special ability. What kind of Devil Fruit is it? A defensive type? Or…"
In his eyes, such an abnormal level of defense had to be the result of a Devil Fruit. And in truth, the abilities of the Round Table Knights weren't so different from Devil Fruits—each was a unique and extraordinary power.
But Lamorak's defense was simply too monstrous.
Of course, if your strength was great enough, you could still break through it. Curse and blessing scaled with Lamorak's own power—if you were strong enough, you could shatter them.
That much was beyond doubt.
"Haha…"
Arthur's smile deepened. "Lamorak… just as I expected."
Arthur had absolute confidence in her. When he summoned Lamorak, her memories flowed into his mind, letting him truly feel her loyalty and her strength.
Lancelot—daughter of Pellinore.
Regardless of her father, she became Arthur's knight—his closest knight, and arguably his most loyal.
More so than Gawain, Agravain, Gareth, Galahad…
All of them were loyal, of course. Galahad and Bedivere as well—there was no question about that.
But as Arthur's personal guard, Lamorak was different. Unlike her brother, she was almost emotionless—rarely showing any personal feelings. Her world revolved around completing Arthur's orders, accepting Arthur's will.
Everything else?
She didn't care. She didn't even spare it a glance.
That was Lancelot's nature.
In her eyes, there was only Arthur. Since the day the Sword in the Stone shattered—when she defeated every knight who harbored ill intent before Arthur—there had been only one king she acknowledged.
That was precisely why Mordred had to eliminate Lamorak.
Because her loyalty belonged to Arthur alone. Other than King Arthur, she would never swear allegiance to anyone.
"Hm…"
Arthur spoke softly, "Lamorak, it's time to end this. Show them your brilliance once more."
The voice was gentle—yet it seemed to reach Lamorak's ears all the same.
In the midst of her relentless assault, Lamorak suddenly halted and stepped back.
Kaido, meanwhile, was in agony.
He had lost, again.
And yet, he couldn't bring himself to flee. It was too humiliating.
Last time, it had taken Gawain and Galahad together.
This time… he had been defeated by Lamorak alone?
In terms of pure strength, Lamorak was solidly at near-admiral level. Kaido was just a step below that.
Normally, for a Mythical Zoan user like Kaido, that gap wouldn't matter much.
But there was one fatal problem—
Lamorak's ability was simply too broken.
She couldn't be injured. Her power was so terrifying that you didn't even dare to block it. Taking a punch head-on might mean instant death.
That—
Was Lamorak's true, bug-like power.
Now, as she paused, Kaido finally had a moment to breathe.
"Hah… hah…"
He panted heavily, staring at Lamorak with eyes full of unwillingness.
Damn it… was he really going to fall here?
Impossible!
Could he really lose just like this?
Swish!
Calmly, Lamorak flicked her spear.
It was a pitch-black lance—strange in that it had no blade, only a shaft, yet it radiated an ominous aura.
This spear was a demonic weapon.
Long ago, after being cursed by demons, Lamorak had battled a demon duke. She killed him—and claimed his demonic spear as her own.
But then—
She cast out a knight's sword as well.
That sword was nothing but a radiant golden blade—the once-broken Sword in the Stone, the holy sword symbolizing kingship.
By combining the holy sword and the demonic spear, they formed a single weapon—
Lamorak's own holy lance.
A weapon that carried the full power of both the demonic spear and the holy sword.
Its name was simple.
Guardian.
Because Lamorak's entire life was devoted to guarding her king. As long as the king existed, so would she.
Swish!
She leveled the holy lance and looked calmly at Kaido.
When she moved again, her power surged to an even greater height.
With the holy lance in hand, Lamorak became even more terrifying.
Only now did she truly embody one of the Knights of the Round Table who guarded the king.
Lamorak, the Knight of Mist and Rain.
