Soon the affinity revelation ceremony was done and all the children with affinities lined up again. Noah could see some kids leaving early as they had no affinities.
He sighed and looked ahead of him. There were a couple people ahead of him, no calling out names and he wasn't in a rush to show off. Instead he looked for Flynn.
Once he found her in the line he left his spot and began walking backwards. Every one of the children watched him, even the adults seated in the rows of seats were watching him.
He stopped in front of Flynn and waved at the guy behind her.
"Hey can we switch places?" he asked in his nicest voice.
The commonborn boy pointed at himself then turned back in case there was someone else Percy was talking to. Then he nodded nervously.
"Okay just walk up front to that boy wearing the gaudy white and blue shirt and tell him I'm giving my spot to you."
