I knocked on the door and waited. The moment I lowered my hand, it swung open and Eleanor lunged forward, wrapping her arms around me in a tight hug. I hugged her back with a small smile, nearly losing my balance. Without a word, she pulled me inside, closed the door, and kissed me deeply.
"Woah," I chuckled, breaking the kiss. "What a welcome."
"You're going to tell me exactly how you got Brok to drop the debt," she said, eyes sparkling. "Every single detail."
"Calm down," I laughed. "I just came by to check if you were okay."
"I'm more than okay!" She stepped back and threw her hands out to the sides. "I don't think I've ever been this happy in my thirty-eight years."
"Thirty-eight? You look at least twenty-five," I teased.
"Oh, shut up." She gave my shoulder a playful push. "You hungry? I made lasagna."
"Nah, I'm good. I won't be staying long," I replied. "I just wanted to see you."
"Why? In a hurry?"
