The arena was packed. Scouts lined the upper rows with their clipboards and serious expressions. NHL team logos visible on their jackets. Carter had pointed out at least six of them before warmups even started.
Yale versus Harvard. The rivalry game. Winner took the conference championship and a guaranteed spot in the NCAA tournament.
No pressure.
Silver's hands were wrapped around a cup of coffee that had gone cold twenty minutes ago. Beside her, Maya was providing running commentary on plays Silver barely understood despite months of attending games.
"He's looking good tonight," Maya said. "Faster than last week."
