Jamie, still floating, raised his eyes toward the roof where the voice had come from.
Alexander descended through the hole Jamie had dug in the ceiling, moving slowly like some kind of messiah coming down from the heavens.
His eyes had completely changed to gold.
So had his hair.
With the way he looked now, he truly resembled the chosen warrior of the Goddess.
Jamie's eyes followed him all the way until Alexander finally landed on one of the metal bridges near him.
"The new look fits well on you."
Jamie spoke while looking at Alexander with utmost concentration. He knew Alexander was still his enemy, so he did his best not to lower his guard.
Alexander smiled at the words, a faint trace of pride coiling in his gut. He had been admired before. Many people had told him countless times that he looked astonishingly handsome, and he had always brushed it off as flattery from people trying to get on his good side.
Coming from Jamie, the words carried much more weight.
