Aegon was seriously confused by the situation since he didn't recognise the people at all. It made him wonder if they were Xiu's past enemies, but he dismissed that thought.
Xiu wasn't the type of person to leave enemies behind.

The two of them stopped before the closed giant gates and stared at the group of seven floating outside. Even now, they continued to look down in disdain.
