Interlude
Morning, 10:00 a.m.
Kang Miun's Coffee Stall
The coffee stall was located right next to the Kembang Setaman Discotheque building.
Tikno, wearing the Kembang Setaman security uniform, was seen sitting and enjoying a cup of coffee brewed by Kang Miun.
His eyes were focused on a book.
On closer look, it turned out Tikno was busy thinking while filling out a crossword puzzle.
Tikno muttered.
Tikno: "Doll, in English, four letters?"
Miun, who was preparing instant noodles for a hungry customer, replied.
Miun: "Doll, Tikno. The letter L is doubled."
Tikno immediately filled it in.
Tikno: "Ha-ha. You're pretty smart in English too, Kang Miun."
Miun chuckled.
Miun: "Well, I did graduate from a vocational high school, you know."
Tikno chuckled.
Tikno: "Pen, in English, three letters?
"
Miun: "Pen, Tikno."
Tikno was delighted.
Tikno: "Perfect. I've finished filling one whole crossword sheet."
Miun handed the bowl of noodles to a customer.
Miun: "You usually go to the internet café to read Nagini. Why are you doing a crossword now?"
Tikno: "I'm waiting."
Miun: "Waiting?"
Tikno: "I keep going back to the internet café. Nagini is still at Chapter 41."
Miun: "So?"
Tikno: "I wait while doing the crossword."
Miun: "Oh…"
Tikno sipped his coffee.
Tikno: "It's already late, Kang. I have to go back to work at Kembang Setaman. Otherwise Pak Karto and Pak Turiman will be looking for me."
Miun: "Got it."
Tikno: "Coffee and two fritters—how much?"
Miun: "I saw you take four fritters earlier."
Tikno burst out laughing.
Tikno: "Your eyes are sharp too, Kang Miun."
Miun grinned like a horse.
