Chapter 30 - IT'S A FILLER, DATEBAYO ii

Answer five questions from the given seven, Jesus!. Five fucking questions, are these guys fucking kidding me?. What the actual fuck?. Question 1: A steel bridge section used in an engineering project measures exactly 50 meters at a cool morning temperature of 18 °C. By midday, the temperature rises to 42°C. Given that the linear expansivity of steel is 1.2 ×10^-5 K^-1, calculate the increase in length of the bridge section and explain why expansion gaps are essential in structural design.

Fuck off, I'm not stressing my beautiful brain on that. Next question: During a diagnostic test on a fiber-optic transmission line, a pulse signal travels through a medium with a refractive index of 1.5. If the frequency of the light wave is 5× 10^14 Hz, calculate both the speed of the wave in the medium and its wavelength inside the optical fiber. (Speed of light in vacuum c = 3.0× 10^8 m/s).

Why didn't I just pursue being an actor or a musician, thats where my talents lay. Why did I have to pursue this damn goal of being an Engineer. In all seriousness, i believe Mr McCintyre wasn't loved at home. Cause no one who comes from love will set this kind of questions.

3: An automated conveyor belt system in a manufacturing plant uses a solid cylindrical pulley of mass 12 kg and radius 0.25m to launch components onto a shipping ramp.

• (a) Calculate the moment of inertia (I = ½mr²) of the pulley.

• (b) A constant torque of 18N • m is applied to accelerate the pulley from rest for 4 seconds. Calculate its final angular velocity (omega) and the kinetic energy stored in the rotating pulley.

• (c) A 2 kg test component is released horizontally off the edge of the conveyor belt at a height of 19.6 meters above the factory floor at a velocity equal to the tangential linear speed of the pulley edge. Calculate the horizontal range (x) where the component impacts the floor. (Take g = 9.8 m/s², ignore air resistance).

I'm in tears, finally something simple. Something i can count as my 1 outta 5. Pay attention, we first find the moment of inertia. I=½mr²= 0.5×12×(0.25)²=0.375kg •m². Easy part done. Now finding the angular acceleration(ą) and final Angular velocity(omega). ą= Torque/I= 18/0.375= 48rad/s²

Omega= ą×t = 48×4 = 192rad/s

Then we move to finding the Tangetial speed (v) and Kinetic Energy (KE)

V= omega × r = 192 × 0.25 =48m/s

KE = 1/2 I(omega)² = 0.5 × 0.375 × (192)² = 6,912 J

And finally Time to Fall(tfall) and Horizontal Distance (x)

tfall= (square) 2h/g = (square) 2×19.6/9.8 = 2 seconds

x = v×tfall = 48 × 2= 96 meters.

Now we've gotten all four answers. I'm on fire. Next question. Please be as nice as this one.

4: A 0.5kg metal conductor of length 0.4meters slides down a smooth, frictionless ramp inclined at 30° inside a uniform vertical magnetic field of 2.0Tesla.

If a current of 5 Amperes passes through the conductor, calculate:

• (a) The magnetic force acting on the conductor.

• (b) The net acceleration of the conductor down the ramp. (Take g = 9.8 m/s²).

I love you so much Mr McCintyre, we used to pray for times like this. Another easy question, my 2 outta 5. Now I don't wanna bore y'all with lectures so we'll just skip to 11:30 am, thats when I left the exam hall.

A lot of Omegas are gonna be making Beta by the end of this exam, I know that for sure.

Jensen: Hey, how was it?.

Me: Great really, I just don't know why he asked us to answer five theory questions though.

Jensen: Five?

Me: yeah, five outta seven. Didn't you get the same thing?.

Jensen: Science had three out of five

Me: sorry, what?.

Jensen: you heard me right

Me: Fuck Mr McCintyre.

Jensen: So which did you answer?. Knowing your habit of looking for easy things I'm sure you picked number 1.

Me: You know i love the easy things so why would you think I'll attempt one of the hardest?.

Jensen: sorry, what?.

Me: you heard me.

Jensen: can I see your question slip?, cause i know how easy 1 is. I need to confirm if we were giving different question

Me: (passing my slip) yeah sure

Jensen: (mumbling) A steel bridge section used in an engineering project measures exactly 50 blah-blah-blah. Dude, its the same question

Me: yeah, so??.

Jensen: This is one of the easiest if not the easiest. This is basic mechanics and vector. You handled vectors and geometric in the baticadious, didn't you?.

Me: And we both know how that went

Jensen: True. So which did you end up answering?.

Me: Oh easy. 3 to 7

Jensen: (looking at the slip) 3. An automated conveyor belt system in a manufacturing plant uses a solid cylindrical, you're joking right?. You didn't answer this.

Me: uhhh. I did. That shit was like the second easiest there. 4 takes the crown.

Jensen: wait, 4. A 0.5kg metal conductor of length 0.4meters slides down a smooth, frictionless ramp inclined at 30° inside a come on, you didn't answer this.

Me: I sure did. That's literally the easiest question there, why wouldn't I?.

Jensen: The fuck you mean by easy, this is secomd year shit.

Me: Uhhh.

Jensen: you heard me, second year shit. How do you suck at basic vector and somehow solve electromagnetism and electric circuit. You're weird.

Me: uhmm, do you think I solved wrong?. I mean if it's as hard as you're putting it to be, did i just fail my physics?. Oh Jesus

Jensen: I don't know. Haven't really dived into electromagnetism yet. You can maybe ask Kayode, he should know. I'm gonna go prepare for E.L.A.

Me: Ela?. Why do you have to read for something you speak everyday?.

Jensen: Cause E.L.A is more than just knowing bow to speak it, and please stop calling it Ela.

Me: I'm calling it whatever. E-L-A spells Ela so Ela it is.

Jensen: yeah whatever, let's just talk later.

Me: lemme read with you

Jensen: Fuck no!.

Me: woah, that was fast and harsh

Jensen: There's one thing I know for a fact and that is i won't be doing much reading with you by my side, so please avoid me

Me: Awwn.

Jensen: That wasn't a compliment. Go do something impactful with your life.

Me: yeah yeah. Whatever

Why the fuck would tou need practise ke reading for a shit you litwrally speak everyday?, are you that dumb?. It's Basically comprehension and Essays and shit like that. Incase you haven't noticed, that's my specialty.

***** 12:05pm, Ela time ******

For years, the old mill stood at the edge of town like a silent sentinel, its rusted gearwork frozen in time. The locals largely ignored it, treating the looming brick structure as a harmless relic of an industrial age long buried. But when demolition crews arrived on Tuesday morning, an unexpected wave of resistance swept through the community. Decades of indifference suddenly dissolved into impassioned town hall debates, as residents realized that losing the building meant erasing a vital piece of their shared history. Which statement best expresses the main idea of the passage?.

Before I read the options my answer is douchebags, they are all douchebags. This is just like that saying: They only notice your value when you're no more. Let's just go back to answering before I divert my attention.

A. Demolition crews were forced to stop working due to safety hazards.

B. The townspeople only recognized the historical value of the mill when it was threatened with destruction.

C. Industrial history is often ignored by modern local governments.

D. The old mill was dangerous and needed to be removed for community safety.

It's clearly B. This is why i said studying for Ela is a waste of time. It's just too easy. Moving on to ii.

Explain how the community's perspective toward the mill changed over time. Support your answer using two specific details from the passage.

This is another straightforward question, at this point I might just get all 100 points.

My answer: Initially, the community viewed the mill with "decades of indifference," treating it as an ignored, "harmless relic." However, when demolition crews arrived, their perspective shifted dramatically toward "impassioned town hall debates" as they recognized the mill's value to "their shared history."

It sounds touchè but that's the best my Brain can come up with, that should suffice. Next question please.

The relentless surge of urbanization in developing economies has precipitated an ecological crisis that policymakers can no longer afford to treat with casual disdain. For decades, rapid municipal expansion was uncritically hailed as the inevitable engine of modern prosperity. However, this unchecked sprawl has systematically eroded contiguous agrarian ecosystems, leaving concrete monoliths where fertile topsoil once sustained regional agrarian output. The consequence is not merely aesthetic decay, but a profound destabilization of localized food security.

Furthermore, the socio-economic ramifications are starkly asymmetrical. While affluent enclaves insulate themselves within gated, climate-controlled sanctuaries, marginalized populations are relegated to periphery squalor, directly exposed to industrial effluents and ecological degradation. To avert total systemic breakdown, state planners must pivot from reactive crisis management toward rigorous, sustainable urban governance that harmonizes infrastructural development with ecological stewardship.

Jesus!. That was a long stressful read. On second thought let's just do a time skip till after this paper. I don't wanna bore you guys with education and stuff, we'll save that for another day.

*-*-*-*-* 2:37pm *-*-*-*-*-*-*

Now, just saying. Maybe I spoke too soon and too proud. Ela was hell, I know I'm gonna do well, but how well is the question. Tomorrow we have Mathematics and after the Baticadious I've become more confident in tackling Mathematics. Wait, shit!. We totally skipped the Baticadious arc. Lmao. Okay here's what's gonna happen, after this exam arc and the tournament arc, we move straight to the Baticadious. That seems fair. For now, I'm headed for Tephs.
