Chapter 13 - 13

Everything's going swimmingly. I just got a message from Tony, so the duel discs will be ready in no time. Then I'll start the tournament. It'll probably be open to anyone who wants to participate. Of course, I'll have to prepare the rules and everything, but all the equipment is ready.

Now I'll have to sort out the names: The military group will remain 'Red Reborn Army,' but we won't mention the 'Army' part.

For the space team, I decided to change from 'S-Force' to 'Vestals'. The heroes will remain Vexos, and for the civilians, since the capsules are also sold with Gero, I don't know if I can create a civilian company, 'Capsule Corporation,' but I'll keep the idea in mind just in case.

I've also located several members of interest, so the Vexos will appear before the Avengers, or at least I hope so.

I'll finish January with a bang. I have four years until the Battle of New York, and my team is almost complete. A few words, promises of power, and a new life, and my security will be 100% guaranteed regarding the problems of this universe for now. The problem will be the potential issues that arise with the Duel Monsters, since there's a possibility that Shadow Duelists will emerge, and until the end of the tournament, I won't have anything remotely close to a team of my own. But everything in its own time.

Closing my journal with a smile, I take advantage of not having much to do today to study combat styles online, magic to help my body learn these movements and improve everything. With a sigh, I realize I have nothing special to do until tomorrow, "finally, I can say I'll have peace and quiet."

Unfortunately for me, there's something I didn't know: Tony seemed ready to take down the terrorist groups. "JARVIS, prepare the coordinates of all known terrorists and any group associated with Obadiah."

"Understood, sir."

"...also, make sure to locate anyone named Yinsen."

"You know that in this reality, there was no sacrifice for your survival, right?"

"I know, but I don't care."

Tony Stak, in his armor, shot off towards Afghanistan. It was time he dealt with the terrorists who were using his weapons to spread terror.

It didn't take him long to reach his destination, and he went all out. With his reactors in his hands, he knocked out enemies; with small missiles on his shoulders, he destroyed their bases and eliminated the terrorists. He spent almost the entire afternoon doing this until he managed to find a cave where the Ten Rings, one of the largest groups, were located. After killing all the criminals, he searched for hostages and ended up finding Yisen.

"Who are you?" Yisen asked, then was surprised to see Tony Stark's face inside the suit.

"Dr. Yisen, I presume," Tony said, gesturing for him to follow. "I've come to rescue you. I know you don't trust me, but let me explain." Reluctantly, he followed Tony. "I didn't know my weapons were being bought by those terrorists. I had the person responsible imprisoned, and I know this probably means nothing to you, but I'm going to help this country: food, medicine, homes, everything I can."

Yinsen didn't initially trust Stark, but after hearing what he said, he decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Of course, these actions weren't a secret, but when Stark returned promising changes, he made a few calls and, thanks to his reputation, had everything arranged in record time.

In less than 24 hours, a considerable number of aid groups, including suppliers and even construction workers, were ready to help people get their homes.

But when Tony returned home, he found someone else in his house: a bald, black man with an eye patch.

"So, 'Iron Man,' did you have fun in Afghanistan?"

Before Tony could ask who the hell this guy was, he froze at the way he was addressed.

"Listen, I don't know who you are. What are you talking about..." He couldn't say anything more when he saw Fury holding a journal that was VERY FAMILIAR with Tony. He said nothing and quickly went to a separate drawer. Part of him was just trying to console himself, which worked, but then a new question popped into his mind.

"Apparently you're not the only one with knowledge of our 'transmigrant' Mr.Stark," Fury said seriously. "Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Nick Fury, Director of SHIELD."

"SHIELD?"

"An organization that deals with global security, and thanks to our new friend from another world, their workload has tripled."

"You mean his Christmas present? I don't see what the problem is?" Tony said nonchalantly.

"A Christmas present that basically caused an uproar of unparalleled proportions; tell me how the hell you explain to the governments that overnight all the pollution on the entire planet disappeared, dead land became fertile, 'miracles' in healing and so on; do you know the number of messages about the 'second coming of Jesus' that started to come out?

That's not counting the astronomical number of more than 300,000 kidnappings, if it weren't for the fact that they were pieces of shit the governments would go crazy."

"Okay, I have to admit, I admit you went a little overboard, but what's this all about?"

"The fact that you also must have a journal like this, and you've been acting on it."

Tony knew they had it, and he knew they'd keep it for later. "Okay, but... how long have you had it?"

"A few days."

"And you didn't do anything?"

"With someone who can apparently use magic and manipulate reality without known limits, appeared out of nowhere and is, quote, 'I'm practically at the Top 3 in power, and only the Ancient One can actually beat me right now...' end quote, and from what's been said about the 'Ancient One,' he or she is a sorcerer who has been protecting the world for hundreds of years... What do you want me to do? Say please and wait for him to say yes?"

"So what do you want then?" Tony said, annoyed that the guy wasn't getting to the point.

"The journal mentions the Avengers. The Avengers Initiative is something I had planned to do—a team of individuals with extraordinary abilities to protect the world," he began to explain seriously.

"So, a super-secret boy band," Tony summarized with his typical mocking tone.

"A 'super-secret boy band' that you're part of," Fury emphasized, pointing at the journal, clearly irritated. "And seeing as you've been acting accordingly, and that it's best to be prepared for any problems in advance—'2012'—I emphasized that year twice, once saying it was the Avengers' first move. You don't have to be a genius to know it's a calamity that requires the team," he took a few steps closer to Tony, "this is what I want. We work together, we advance the preparations just like you did before," he said seriously, "you'll also be given information that you've probably overlooked."

"And that is?" he asked, curious and somewhat challenged.

"Activities related to 'Red Ribbon.'"

Tony understood what Fury meant. Gabriel had managed to make contact with the military and now he'd have a contract... "Shit..."

"Yeah, 'shit'" said Fury, "Gabriel and his faction have been amassing power. We literally only have one person under the name 'Dr. Maki Gero,' and even though everything seems set up and legal, with PhDs and all, it all appeared out of nowhere. If it weren't for the fact that we always keep those camps under surveillance for future recruits, we wouldn't know."

"Okay, Mr. Secret Agent, is anyone else besides you and me aware of this?"

"For now, it's just the two of us, but I'm going to bring in some of my most trusted agents, some of whom have already interacted with Gabriel," he said seriously. "We'll be communicating with communicators completely disconnected from the network... the fact that HYDRA still exists continues to give me a fucking headache."

"Well, one detail you should know is that tomorrow I'll be showing off the complete Duel Disks to Gabriel," Fury raised an eyebrow. "Even if he thinks it's just a prototype, I'm not going to simply build something someone gives me without improving it," Tony said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Gabriel was planning to use Solid Vision with Mass for the future, so I made the Duel Disks able to use it that way without needing a special field. You just need to put all the Action Field cards in and that's it, complete."

Tony said it with clear pride. Understanding technology from another universe and improving it was obvious he had to do it; otherwise, he wouldn't be a true genius.

"Okay, well., after that little show with Gabriel, we make the call and clarify the details, if you find anything interesting with him tell me." Said Fury before leaving.

Next morning I went to Stark Industries to see the 'prototypes', but when I saw the results, my jaw dropping. All six duel disc models from Arc-V, of course, were painted in Iron Man's signature gold and red color scheme—subtlety, Tony.

"Wow, Tony, these... these are incredible," I said, grabbing the Standard model. "Impressive."

"I know, I've improved it quite a bit too. I managed to make it so that only the discs can perform solid vision with mass; we just need to place all the fields and it'll be completely finished. I would have done it myself, but there's some data I don't have yet," he said in a mock-reproach tone. I rolled my eyes and pulled out another flash drive.

"Here you go, Tony. I'm also planning to make it like an app, a kind of special social network for duelists."

Tony thought about it for a moment. "Interesting... and what will be on this social network?"

"New product announcements, tournament locations, communication; obviously; rankings; and... for now, that's all. I can't think of anything else to add. When I have ideas for the future..." I didn't finish because the answer was obvious.

Tony nodded in agreement; he liked the idea. Using the USB drive, he downloaded the fields.

"By the way, Tony, when can we start mass production?"

"First, we have to test the duel disks, and then, depending on the test data, a week or less." In reality, he could start today, but he had an excuse to test his deck, a duel itself, and Gabriel himself.

"Good idea, Tony," I said, taking out my mallet. "For now, we'll use the system without using the massa," I commented. I used the standard one, and Tony grabbed the Xyz dimension model.

"Duel!"

[Gabriel*: 4000]

[Tony Stark* 4000]

"You can start Tony, also the names sould be part of the account for the future App."

"Sure, I'll draw" looking at his cards he know he has a bad hand. and is his first duel, bad start. "I'll set a monster… and that's all."

"Okay, my move, draw" drawing a card and picking another one on my hand, "I activate 'Graceful Charity' draw 3 cards and discard 2; next I'll summon 'Marauding Captain'"

[Marauding Captain lvl 3 EARTH Warrior/Effect ATK 1200 DEF 400]

"With his effect I can summon a level 4 or lower monster, I summon 'Warrior Dai Grepher' in Attack mode."

[Warrior Dai Grepher lvl 4 EARTH Warrior ATK 1700 DEF 1600]

"Next I'll activate the continued spell 'The A. Forces' All Warriors gain 200 Attack points for each warrior on my field."

[Marauding Captain lvl 3 EARTH Warrior/Effect ATK 1600 DEF 400]

[Warrior Dai Grepher lvl 4 EARTH Warrior ATK 2100 DEF 1600]

"Set one card, battle! Captain attack his face-down" The world fell on Tony's set showing a three-eye monster."

"'Sangan's effect, I add a monster with 1500 attack or less" one card came out of the deck automatically after Tony types something on the duel disk screen, "I'll add 'Witch of the Black Forest'."

"'Grepher' direct attack" the warrior lunged at Tony, making his eyes widen in shock. Instinctively, he braced himself with his arms, and upon receiving the slash, he took a step back in surprise.

[Tony Stark* 1900]

"Okay... the recoil effect works well." Then he started his turn, "my turn, draw, I activate 'dark hole'" a hole that sucks every monster, "then I'll set a monster, end my turn."

"My turn, draw, set one monster, turn end."

"Draw, flip summon, 'Cyber Jar' all monsters are destroyed and we draw 5 cards, all level 4 or lower monsters are summon, the rest go to your hand." We start doing it and Tony smile summoning 4 monsters:

[Jinzo #7 lvl 2 DARK Machine/Effect ATK 500 DEF 400]

[Jinzo #7 lvl 2 DARK Machine/Effect ATK 500 DEF 400]

[Division lvl 2 FIRE Machine/Effect ATK 200 DEF 200]

[Magician of Faith lvl 1 LIGHT SpellcasterEffect ATK 300 DEF 400]

I summon only 2:

[Sangan lvl 3 DARK Fiend/Effect ATK 1000 DEF 600]

[Magician of Faith lvl 1 LIGHT SpellcasterEffect ATK 300 DEF 400]

"Not so fast, I activate my face-down 'Torrential Tribute' to destroy all monsters" A gigantic wave erupted from the card, destroying all the monsters on the field. "Thanks to 'Sangan' I add a 'Marauding Captain' to my hand."

"Well… I summon a Division and its effect allows me to tribute himself to summon two 'Machine Tokens' on the field in defence."

[Machine Tokens lvl 1 FIRE Machine/Effect ATK 200 DEF 200]

[Machine Tokens lvl 1 FIRE Machine/Effect ATK 200 DEF 200]

"Turn end"

"My turn, first, I summon 'The Fiend Megacyber' and even if he is a level 6, since you control at least 2 more monsters than me, I can summon him."

[The Fiend Megacyber lvl 6 DARK Warrior/Effect ATK 2200 DEF 1200]

"Now, Déjà vu, I'll summon 'Marauding Captain'"

[Marauding Captain lvl 3 EARTH Warrior/Effect ATK 1200 DEF 400]

"With his effect I can summon a level 4 or lower monster, I summon 'Warrior Dai Grepher' in Attack mode."

[Warrior Dai Grepher lvl 4 EARTH Warrior ATK 1700 DEF 1600]

"And thanks to 'The A. Forces' All Warriors gain 200 Attack points for each warrior on my field."

[The Fiend Megacyber lvl 6 DARK Warrior/Effect ATK 2800 DEF 1200]

[Marauding Captain lvl 3 EARTH Warrior/Effect ATK 1800 DEF 400]

[Warrior Dai Grepher lvl 4 EARTH Warrior ATK 2300 DEF 1600]

"Next I activate 'Premature burial' I pay 800 life points to summion a monster from my graveyard, I summon another 'Marauding Captain', set one cards, and thanks to the effect of both captains you can't attack, because both captain force to attack them but the other one stops it."

[Gabriel*: 3200]

"A lock?

"Correct, as long as my Captains are on the field you can't attack, and my monster also receives a boost thanks to my spell."

[The Fiend Megacyber lvl 6 DARK Warrior/Effect ATK 3000 DEF 1200]

[Marauding Captain lvl 3 EARTH Warrior/Effect ATK 2000 DEF 400]

[Marauding Captain lvl 3 EARTH Warrior/Effect ATK 2000 DEF 400]

[Warrior Dai Grepher lvl 4 EARTH Warrior ATK 2500 DEF 1600]

"Set one card and Battle, Marauding Captain attack a Token."

"I activate my trap, Magic Cylinder, you take the damage and the attack is negated."

[Gabriel*: 1200]

"Fine, 'The Fiend Megacyber' attack", my monster destroys the token, but from the Token blast goes to me.

[Gabriel*: 700]

"My token gives you 500 damage when it's destroyed."

"Auch, noted, well this is over, Captain attack the Token"

[Gabriel*: 200]

"'Grepher' direct attack finish this!"

[Tony Stark* 0]

After the duel, we both smiled. We could see that everything worked perfectly. I also asked him if he wanted to try the rest, which we did. Tony won the second duel by increasing Gradius's attack to over 4000, winning in one fell swoop. The third was a huge comeback since I ended up with less than 1000 hit points. My comeback was thanks to Tony getting confused with the flip monsters and starting to get random steals, ending in a 2-1 victory.

"It's been a pleasure, Tony. I'm going to prepare the product and tournament announcement. Do you want to be a part of it?"

Tony considered it. Although he liked the idea, his ego always gets in the way, but today was the group meeting to finalize everything.

"Unfortunately, no. I have things to do, but I'll send you an email when I let you know everything is ready."

"Unfortunately, no. I have things to do, but I'll send you an email when I tell you everything is ready."

"I'll be back when I'm ready." "Perfect, there's also direct customization, meaning random selection, and a version where the customer requests the colors," Tony nodded, indicating he'd already considered that. I said goodbye to Tony and went to my shop; everything was going swimmingly.

"Dr. Gero, Dr. Myuu, how are things going?" I asked upon arriving, and when I saw their smiles, I knew everything was going perfectly.

"I'm 99% of the way through creating the Saiyan serum. In a few days, it will be finalized and stabilized. If you give me a few weeks, I'll be able to perfect it for any human body," Myuu explained.

"Excellent, I want it as perfect as possible, Dr. Gero?"

"The contract is ready; we just need to create the equipment. The United States military is under our control; we're sharing Stark's position of importance."

"'Share'?"

"The 'share'?" "Apparently, out of honor and gratitude for all the years the company helped the army, so technically they're still connected."

"It doesn't matter, I've made a deal with Tony and his protection is invaluable. There's only a week left in the month, so I'll be holding small tournaments and increasing the number of shops. That way, I'll have everything ready for February, and the duelists will have some preparation for the Spirit World events, even if it's just a little."

I said, then sat down in my office to start writing in my journal.

What I didn't know is that once again the timeline will be manipulated, but not by me, but by the heroes, since now they are going to coordinate and ensure a better future for everyone.
