Chapter 105 - An Unsolvable Proposition

Ur: "???"

Because of Natsu, Erza no longer bothered with flashy investigations and went straight to the point.

Ur's expression at that moment could be summarized as: [Completely Confused.jpg]

'What the hell… Could my identity as a transmigrator have been exposed?' Ur briefly wondered, but quickly dismissed the thought.

That was impossible.

Not that he was arrogant—Erza's power simply didn't reach the level of detecting something like a soul transformation.

Erza continued seriously. "I've reviewed the guild records. When Ur was brought to the orphanage by the guild master, he only had D-Class aptitude for water magic. And besides the short period when Ur first joined the guild and displayed water magic, he has never used water magic since."

"Moreover, with Ur's magical aptitude, it would be impossible for his magic to progress this fast."

"So… who are you really? Where did you hide the real Ur?" Erza's expression was serious, her floating magical swords hovering threateningly behind her as if ready to strike at any moment.

Ur: "..."

From the beginning, Ur never expected he could hide his abilities. After nearly half a year in the guild, could Master Makarov really not have noticed anything unusual?

Clearly impossible.

But Makarov didn't care. Everyone has their secrets, and as long as you follow the guild's three rules and don't harm your guild or its members, Fairy Tail shows immense tolerance toward its "family."

So Ur had long prepared for the moment when guild members might suspect him. What he didn't expect was Erza's thought process—her brain worked in such a strange way that it practically defied reason. Her imagination seemed to have no bounds.

Most people would only suspect Ur had some "secret." But Erza went further; she suspected the real Ur was kidnapped and that the current Ur was an impostor.

Ummmm…

Her suspicion was half-right; it was completely the wrong reasoning.

Ur's head hurt even more.

He now had to figure out a way to prove an unsolvable proposition from his previous life to Erza.

Am I really me?

The atmosphere became tense.

Erza was internally struggling, while Ur racked his brain for a way to prove this unanswerable question.

After a moment, Ur licked his lips, organized his words, and slowly said, "Well… Erza, let me show you something first."

He spread his fingers, and magical energy began to converge in his palm. A glowing azure magic circle appeared, and soon a shield completely formed from water materialized in his hand.

Erza: [(⊙o⊙)]

Seeing Erza's surprised expression, Ur continued. "Erza, first, thank you for your concern. But I'm not that easily harmed. I am me. The reason I haven't used water magic recently is simply because there's no need."

"As for my magic cultivation and rapid growth… I can only tell you this: geniuses in this world are different from ordinary people. If you still doubt me, there's nothing I can do!" Ur shrugged helplessly.

Ur's "secrets" were not many, but each was inexplicable.

The first secret was the system—the core reason he was so overpowered. This couldn't be explained, even if he wanted to. Ordinary science or magic couldn't account for it.

As for the fact that he was from another world, that in itself wasn't a big deal. But one key point: he was not a "body traveler." This kind of otherworldly possession, even in this world, was unheard of. Ur couldn't risk explaining it, what if he got cut to pieces?

The other two "secrets" were also impossible to explain clearly, even if he wanted to. So now Ur could only pray that Erza wasn't the kind of person who would dig too deep. Otherwise, his head would really hurt.

Fortunately, perhaps Ur's prayers worked. After hearing his explanation, Erza gradually retracted her Heaven's Wheel Armor.

Her goal had simply been to verify whether Ur was really Ur.

Once she confirmed that, she didn't care much about the rest.

Though she knew Ur could be a bit slippery with the truth, her suspicion had lacked concrete evidence. It was only Ur's recent behavior that made her doubts arise.
