Chapter 239 - Chapter 239 Departure

Lupin and Sirius, who had been joking around a second ago, instantly stopped.

"First, Lupin, you randomly found a Bruce on a late-night road and said you wanted to practice dancing, and then Sirius… forget it, Sirius, I won't mention you." Hermione stopped mid-sentence, as if suddenly remembering something.

"That's great…" Sirius breathed a sigh of relief.

Harry sighed helplessly. If Sirius knew he had cried for half the night while drunk and hugging him, he would probably be very embarrassed.

After dinner, the group began to pack their respective luggage… well, it was actually Hermione's huge pile of books and the snacks of the others, which included Kayson.

After all, for a modern person who has been exposed to modern sports and various forms of entertainment, watching a bunch of various flying balls in the sky performing irregular circular motions would be too abstract.

Compared to that, it was better to hold a large bag of snacks and munch away, as it created a better atmosphere.

"Ahem, it's not just about eating, but also about preventing Death Eater riots." Lupin had also been informed of this difficult responsibility by Dumbledore, who also told him to keep an eye on Kayson and Sirius to prevent them from causing trouble.

"No problem," Kayson nodded in agreement.

"When I bought the tickets, they also included a Portkey directly to the World Cup venue… and an Apparition map? Which one should we choose?" Sirius pulled out a deep blue glass orb and asked.

Kayson didn't want to choose either. One involved a hook grabbing his belly button, and the other involved being squashed and stretched into a pipe.

"There's no helping it. The Wizards who invented Apparition and Portkeys were undoubtedly great, but their successors, including us, are clearly not so great. These two spatial magic spells haven't had any breakthroughs in such a long time," Lupin consoled him.

"Alright then, let's give it a try." Kayson sighed and reached out to touch the glass orb Portkey.

Immediately after, the others also touched it, which was a bit much for a poor glass orb, as it was just an orb, not a melancholy mushroom.

The next moment, a somewhat abstract, instinctively uncomfortable, and terrifying force acted upon them. When they opened their eyes again, the group had appeared in a sparse small forest.

"Let's go. I don't understand the thought process of other Wizards. Why buy Muggle tents when you can live in a three-bedroom, one-living-room magical tent?" Sirius said, leading the way.

"The freshness of a camping tent gives a feeling that a mattress can't… though it's certainly uncomfortable." After complaining, Kayson suddenly remembered something: normally, every camping area should have a place to sell tents. "Wait… where did they buy the Muggle tents?"

"Over there, it's a Muggle merchant," Sirius said, then realized, "They're Muggles? This won't do, this won't do…"

The two exchanged glances, and Kayson quickly walked over, looking around the Muggle stall. Logically, in places frequented by large numbers of Wizards, there should be Aurors and Obliviators dispatched by the Ministry of Magic. The former are to prevent Wizards from causing trouble after eating and drinking, and the latter are to constantly monitor Muggles and be ready to use Obliviate.

Sometimes, they also bear the responsibility of protecting Muggles, although this responsibility should, in theory, belong to the Aurors. However, compared to large numbers of Wizards, they might not have the energy to do these things.

After all, while Wizards sound impressive, their personal qualities are indeed concerning. They are not like the Wizards in Western fantasy novels; the former truly require great wisdom and perseverance to achieve success, while the latter rely purely on bloodline.

The name sounds good, but in reality, they possess the same human flaws, they will be weak, irritable, cry and laugh when drunk, but a group of people drinking might come up with new ideas and start causing trouble.

There is no essential difference from the losers who get drunk every day at the dinner table in the Muggle world.

He looked around and quickly found the two entries with his monocle. He walked over and tapped with his finger.

"Oh, Professor, how did you find me?" Bryant said helplessly, having removed his glamour charm.

"Hmm, on field duty? Aren't you from the Department of Magical Games and Sports?" Kayson asked, confused.

"There are too many people. All the combat-capable people from Memory Charm and Magical Disasters have gone to maintain order. Isn't this less dangerous position the responsibility of the Department of Magical Games and Sports?" Bryant sighed.

"I see. Find a way to send that Muggle family away," Kayson said.

"But Professor, why?" Bryant asked, bewildered.

"Intelligence says a few Death Eater ex-convicts have also arrived. Muggles aren't safe here," Kayson casually lied.

"Then who will sell the tents?"

Kayson smiled.

Bryant also smiled, though his smile was quite strained: "Professor, you know me. I can't even do addition and subtraction with more than ten digits because I don't have enough fingers."

"One Galleon per tent or free. It's not your tent, so what are you worried about?"

"Then Professor, their money and tents…" Bryant asked instinctively.

"Of course the Ministry of Magic will compensate them, it won't be you. Go on, go quickly, cast a Muggle-repelling charm on that stall, and remember to submit the paperwork later so the Ministry of Magic can compensate them."

Bryant nodded helplessly: "Then Professor, the money I earn from selling tents…"

"Keep it for yourself."

"No problem, Professor." Bryant suddenly changed his expression, grinning as he went to do it.

"Is it done?" Sirius and Lupin asked.

"Yes. I was originally thinking that after the chaos, we'd only need to guard the Little Wizards, and the three of us would be enough. But adding two ordinary people with no magic ability would make things a bit tight, especially since they might even consider us enemies. That could lead to a lot of trouble," Kayson nodded.

"Huh? What chaos?" Harry and the others, who were studying how the magical tent automatically set itself up, heard their conversation and asked.

"What? You misheard." Kayson shook his head. He didn't plan to warn the Little Wizards in advance, at least not now. It was hard enough to have such a happy event; it was better to wait until they were completely happy before facing those crises.
