Outside Tokyo No. 1 Colony.
"Now that things here are finished, judging from the Kogane connected to Itadori, the highest scorer should be Hajime Kashimo in Tokyo No. 2 Colony... Should we deal with him first?"
After Mukuro casually left, Megumi began analyzing the current battlefield situation.
At this point, nearly all the strong opponents inside Tokyo No. 1 Colony had already been wiped out by his uncle. Their attention now needed to shift elsewhere.
Based on the current score rankings, Tokyo No. 2 Colony and the Sendai Colony were the biggest problems.
The former contained Kashimo, who likely possessed overwhelming strength, while the latter housed several high-point powerful players.
If they wanted to calm the Culling Game down even a little, they first needed to deal with the people whose points were increasing at an insane rate.
"I've already contacted Gojo-san. He should be back soon."
Beside them, Nitta responded at the right moment.
Why only contact Satoru?
Because Mukuro had clearly left to handle something important. As for the other special grades, she did not even have their contact information.
"What a pain..."
Megumi and Yuji could only stand there helplessly.
Before leaving, Mukuro had already stated clearly that at minimum, until another special grade arrived, they were not allowed to enter high-point Culling Game barriers.
And Tokyo No. 2 Colony was obviously one of them.
"Do you need me to help inside?"
Unlike Takaba, who immediately wandered off again after Mukuro left to continue bringing "explosive laughter" to people everywhere, Higuruma had remained nearby to see if he could be of assistance.
Although he still did not fully understand the jujutsu world, with his special shikigami, Judgeman, along with his powerful cursed energy, he had a rough understanding of his own strength.
"No. Higuruma-san already expanded his domain inside earlier. Even if the ability comes from a shikigami, a domain is still a domain. The strain it places on both the technique and the sorcerer themselves is enormous."
Megumi refused immediately without hesitation.
Higuruma was very strong. Even his suit, calm demeanor, and scholarly appearance could not hide the aura of strength surrounding him.
But nobody understood an uncle better than his nephew.
After learning about Higuruma's former profession, Megumi already realized that what Mukuro valued was not merely his strength.
It was his thoughts regarding human nature and his deep understanding of law.
What his uncle and Gojo-sensei wanted to change was the system itself, so how could Megumi allow the civil official his uncle personally brought back to head onto the battlefield?
"Let's wait for Gojo-sensei to return. He has methods for moving across long distances, so it shouldn't take too long..."
"So things over here are already settled? Is there anything I can help with?"
Just as Megumi muttered those words, a somewhat youthful yet confident voice suddenly sounded from behind them.
"Okkotsu! Shouldn't you still be overseas right now?!"
Nitta turned toward the voice and cried out in surprise.
The others also turned around and saw a young man with neatly parted hair and a katana in hand walking toward them with a smile.
'So that's Okkotsu-senpai...'
By the time Megumi enrolled at Jujutsu High, the other had already gone overseas for training. Although he had often heard Maki-senpai and the others mention this name, this was his first time seeing him in person.
The man before him was the youngest special grade sorcerer in the history of the jujutsu world.
He had even broken his uncle's old record, being classified as special grade immediately after enrolling at Jujutsu High.
"That was originally the plan. But after what happened in Shibuya yesterday, Geto-sensei asked me to return to Japan and help out..."
Yuta scratched the back of his head. There was absolutely none of the intimidating aura one would expect from a special grade sorcerer. Instead, he only gave off the feeling of someone slightly more exhausted and mature than others his age.
During the past year, he had mostly been training overseas alongside Miguel or Suguru. It was only yesterday, after receiving contact from the latter, that he hurried back to Japan.
During his nonstop journey, he had already killed many wandering cursed spirits along the way, along with several curse users trying to take advantage of the chaos.
While dealing with them did not take much effort, exhaustion still covered Yuta's face. Faint dark circles had already appeared beneath his eyes.
Still, compared to the immature and somewhat timid kid from a year ago, he had completely transformed. At a glance, he looked like an entirely different person now.
Only the gentle and refined aura around him remained unchanged.
"You two are Megumi and Itadori, right? I've heard Gojo-sensei mention you before. Speaking of which, your uncle, Fushiguro-san, took care of me quite a bit too~"
Yuta greeted the two juniors naturally. When mentioning Mukuro, he scratched his head awkwardly.
That question Mukuro asked him last year had nearly made him want to disappear from embarrassment.
Subconsciously, Yuta touched the ring worn on the ring finger of his left hand. Though Rika's consciousness was still incomplete, he now at least understood her feelings.
Rika still did not want to leave. She wanted to stay by his side forever and protect him.
And Yuta felt exactly the same way.
This was the curse between them, the only thing left in this world capable of connecting them together.
And both of them accepted it willingly.
"It's nice to meet you, Okkotsu-senpai."
Megumi greeted him politely while Yuji hurriedly copied his example.
"No need to be so formal. I already roughly understand the situation. Which barrier is the biggest problem right now?"
Yuta smiled and waved his hand before immediately getting to the important topic.
As a special grade sorcerer, he naturally intended to handle one of the more troublesome barriers.
"Tokyo No. 2 Colony and Sendai Colony."
Megumi had Yuji summon Kogane, then began explaining the differences between the two areas.
"Oh~ Two hundred points? This guy sounds really strong. Then I'll take that one."
Without hesitation, Yuta chose the closest location, Tokyo No. 2 Colony.
His target was the one hundred points possessed by Kashimo.
"Wait! Aren't all of you forgetting something? Once you enter the Culling Game, you become a player. But this game has been labeled as 'permanent.'"
Nobara, who had been quietly worrying about Saori this entire time, gave a reminder.
Entering the Culling Game meant automatically becoming a player. If the game truly lasted forever, then they would remain players for the rest of their lives.
"You don't need to worry about that. Because of Rule 10 that I added earlier, along with Rule 11 added by Fushiguro."
Higuruma rejected her concern.
According to Rule 11, aside from the originally selected participants, all players who voluntarily joined later could freely enter and leave the barriers. Therefore, their movements would not be restricted.
And according to Rule 10, transferring points between players would also count as a point change under Rule 8.
Since all of them were on the same side, there was no need to worry about losing their cursed techniques because of that rule.
Of course, all of this depended on the Culling Game truly continuing forever.
If the Culling Game itself could no longer continue, then naturally there would be nothing left for them to worry about.
A game of this scale, already burdened by such massive binding vows, could not possibly still strip cursed techniques away from people who had not broken any rules.
The only thing they truly needed to worry about was not losing to those bloodthirsty players.
"So that's how it is~ Then that really helps a lot~ Once Gojo-sensei comes back, I'll have to trouble him with the Sendai Colony~"
After saying that, Yuta prepared to leave.
"Okkotsu-senpai! Let me come with you too!"
Just then, Yuji suddenly spoke up.
