"This Eisenwald! We must annihilate them!"
On the train bound for Magnolia, after learning that Moen had been attacked by members of the Eisenwald guild, Makarov was furious.
The old man had always been fiercely protective of his own, so he immediately declared that Eisenwald must be eradicated.
Even though Moen hadn't actually been harmed—and had even earned a bit of extra money—Makarov still insisted on doing this.
"They must understand that the people of Fairy Tail are not to be trifled with!"
Makarov gritted his teeth. He hadn't made a move in years, and it seemed that some people had begun to forget who they were dealing with!
When Makarov was young, he had quite the temper. Though age had softened him, that gentleness was only for the members of Fairy Tail.
When facing enemies—those who harbored ill intent toward Fairy Tail—Makarov would show them what fear truly meant!
"Looks like we're thinking the same thing," Moen said with a smile, shaking the dossier in his hand about Eisenwald.
Eradicating Eisenwald wasn't just about completing the mission by defeating 'Reaper' Erigor—it was also about teaching the Dark Guilds a lesson. They needed to learn to do their research before making a move. The members of Fairy Tail weren't people they could mess with so casually!
On this point, Moen and Makarov were of one mind. They had to make sure those Dark Guild scoundrels understood one thing:
If they dared to touch even a single hair on a Fairy Tail wizard, they'd better be ready for their entire guild to be wiped from existence!
In the traditional sense of a fantasy story, Fairy Tail was the Number One Guild in Fiore. When the disciple of the top guild went out to train and got attacked, you didn't even need to guess—it always triggered the "you hit the junior, now the elder comes" kind of plot.
And Fairy Tail didn't bother with formalities—their response was always direct and brutal. The moment something happened, it was their oldest member, Master Makarov, who would strike first, crushing anyone foolish enough to target Fairy Tail's wizards.
After all, Makarov ranked among the Top Ten strongest mages on the entire continent! In situations like this, whoever crossed him was guaranteed to lose some skin at the very least.
For the newly infamous Eisenwald, this was the equivalent of leaving the tutorial village only to immediately run into the final boss.
"Good! I'll send you all back to the guild first, and then I'll personally march over there and crush them!"
Seeing the Eisenwald dossier in Moen's hand, Makarov spoke fiercely. He jumped up from his seat, cracking his knuckles and looking ready for a brawl.
"Eisenwald? What kind of stray cats and dogs are they? Daring to mess with Fairy Tail? They deserve a good, hard beating!"
"We still have to wait a bit," Moen said, trying to calm the agitated old man. "The Magic Council hasn't yet figured out where Eisenwald's guild base is. But with those four prisoners, they should get the location soon."
Makarov looked like he was ready to storm in alone and level the entire guild, and truth be told, he easily could.
But Moen couldn't let him do that Eisenwald's guild master, Erigor, was his target, his prey. He couldn't let Makarov steal the kill.
"Then let them enjoy their freedom a little longer," Makarov grumbled, sitting back down in his seat.
Beside him, Wendy blinked her big eyes, watching the exchange between Makarov and Moen, the old and the young.
She could feel from their words how much they valued their guild and cared about the safety of their comrades.
That made Wendy even more eager—eager to join Fairy Tail, eager to become one of its members.
Mystogan felt the same way. From Makarov's demeanor alone, he could already glimpse what kind of guild Fairy Tail was—it had to be an incredibly warm and caring one.
Amid Wendy and Mest's anticipation, the train finally stopped at Magnolia Station, and the four of them disembarked.
The moment they stepped off the train, both Wendy and Mest could feel the influence Fairy Tail had on the city.
Citizens passing through the station greeted Makarov warmly and chatted casually with Moen.
Their curious gazes fell upon Wendy and Mystogan, the two new faces. Everyone in Magnolia was already used to Fairy Tail taking in orphans and lonely children—no one found it strange anymore.
In that friendly atmosphere, the four arrived before the grand doors of the guild hall.
Looking at the majestic building, the words "Fairy Tail," and the familiar guild emblem, Wendy's eyes filled with anticipation. At that moment, she even felt a little nervous.
"Finally home!"
Looking at the doors before him, Moen let out a sigh of emotion. This trip had taken quite some time, and he'd been roughing it out in the forest the whole way. He truly missed the guild's food and his own soft bed. Nothing beat being home!
Moen pushed the doors open with force, and the guild's familiar roar of chatter and laughter instantly filled his ears.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa—look who's back!"
"Isn't this our young master Moen, on his first trip away from home? How did the job go?"
Seeing Moen walk in through the door, Macao and Wakaba, the two uncles, instantly started teasing him, smiles in their eyes.
Seeing Moen return safely from his journey, everyone felt very happy. As for his safety, the group hadn't really been too worried.
Especially Macao and Wakaba and the others—having been in the guild for at least ten years—they understood Master Makarov's habits well.
Just as Moen had set out, Master Makarov had also disappeared along with him, clearly going to protect him secretly—there was no doubt about it.
"Why are you two uncles always here? Don't you have to work to make money? Drinking in the guild every day."
Moen rolled his eyes, making a sarcastic remark at the two uncles, then stepped aside and let Mystogan and Wendy through the door.
"Let's welcome two new companions joining Fairy Tail!"
Following them in was Makarov himself; as soon as he entered, he jumped onto a table and shouted to everyone.
All eyes turned toward Wendy and Mystogan.
"Whoa! What an adorable little girl!"
At the sight of Wendy, the guild instantly erupted.
Both men and women cried out in surprise, calling her cute again and again, showering her with praise.
As for Mystogan, before coming he had already bought a mask and hat on the road, wrapping himself tightly.
Everyone simply assumed he was shy by nature, so no one teased him.
"This is Wendy! This is Mystogan!"
Makarov first pointed to the blushing Wendy, then to Mystogan. The guild members cooperatively cheered, shouting their names over and over.
"Welcome to Fairy Tail!"
