Earlier that morning, Niaya had pulled her older brother into a quiet corner, away from prying ears and wandering servants.
"What is it that needs discussion, Nia?" Henry asked, impatience threading through his voice. His eyes flickered restlessly, urging her to get to the point.
"Stick to him like a leech."
Henry's brows drew together at once. "I don't follow."
Niaya folded her arms, her gaze sharp and unyielding. "If you want the ministers to take you seriously, then act like it. Follow Leonard around. Let them believe you're eager to learn from him."
Her words lingered, settling deep into Henry's thoughts long after she had stepped away.
Now, standing before his half-brother, those same words echoed in his mind as he waited.
"You shall serve your kingdom by handling matters here in the royal court," the Crown Prince said, his tone leaving little room for argument.
Leonard did not look particularly pleased at the idea of Henry accompanying him—and it showed.
