Chapter 193 - The Daughter Who Forgot

The night over Tiamat was restless.

Far above the floating continents and rivers that poured endlessly into the void below, the city of Tartarus trembled beneath the sound of distant roars.

Inside the House of Scorpio, the atmosphere was cold.

Sebastian Savage smiled at Miyuki and said:

"Father Ra has given you an important mission."

Miyuki sat on the throne silently, her amber eyes staring at him without emotion.

"What was the orders of father?"

Sebastian folded his arms behind his back.

"Your mission is to kill the legendary blacksmith Simon. He lives in the city of Tartarus at the east side of the city."

Miyuki looked at Sebastian and said:

"And the reason?"

Vizer stepped forward.

"Any weapon he creates has the ability to hurt us so he's a threat."

Miyuki narrowed her eyes.

"Ok mission received."

The next second—

She vanished.

The room became silent.

Myron exhaled slowly.

"She really doesn't remember anything huh…"

Serion leaned against the wall with folded arms.

"The memory seal worked too well."

Sebastian smiled faintly.

"That's why she's useful."

Then he turned around and walked toward the exit.

"Now then…"

He pulled out a white whistle from inside his coat.

"Let's make sure Darkness gets distracted."

Outside —

High above Tartarus.

Sebastian stood atop a floating structure overlooking the gigantic city below.

The winds of Tiamat howled around him.

Without hesitation—

He blew the whistle.

FWOOOOOOOOOO—

The sound spread across the world unnaturally.

For one second…

Nothing happened.

Then the skies shook.

ROOOOOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!

Massive portals began opening throughout Tartarus.

The ground cracked.

Buildings trembled.

And monsters emerged.

Not ordinary monsters.

Apocalyptic creatures.

Towering beasts larger than the highest floating cities stepped into existence.

Some had dozens of crimson eyes.

Others carried mountains on their backs.

One creature alone was so massive its footsteps caused entire districts to collapse.

Citizens screamed.

The city erupted into chaos.

At the south side of Tartarus—

Rayon, Erethon, and Nyk stood atop a ruined platform overlooking the advancing wave.

The monsters were running toward them like an endless sea.

Rayon looked up at the darkened sky and said:

"A monster wave…"

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"What are they playing at?"

Suddenly—

Two figures appeared atop a nearby building.

Vizer Ragnarok.

And Serion Bane.

Nyk looked up at them and smiled.

"It seems I found my company."

Erethon stretched his arms while grinning like a lunatic.

"It's a perfect night for insanity."

The next instant—

Nyk and Serion disappeared.

BOOOOOOM!!!

The building beneath them exploded from sheer speed.

At the same time—

Erethon and Vizer vanished as reality distorted violently around their clash.

Rayon watched silently.

Then he sighed.

"I guess that just leaves me and the monsters."

The giant beasts roared and charged.

One of them swung an arm the size of a mountain toward Rayon's position.

Rayon didn't move.

The attack stopped inches from his face.

The monster froze.

Then darkness spread across its body like veins.

CRACK.

The entire creature shattered into black dust.

Another monster descended from the sky with jaws large enough to swallow cities.

Rayon glanced upward.

Its body suddenly split in half before it even reached him.

Blood rained across Tartarus.

Rayon stepped forward calmly as the monsters surrounded him from every direction.

And then—

The shadows beneath his feet expanded.

The ground turned black.

The monsters hesitated.

For the first time—

Fear appeared in their eyes.

Rayon smiled.

"Come then."

The darkness exploded upward.

Meanwhile—

At the eastern district of Tartarus.

Miyuki walked through a narrow alley silently.

The monster alarms echoed through the city but she ignored them completely.

Her mission came first.

She stopped in front of a small old building.

Relish.

The lights inside were dim.

Cobwebs hung from the corners.

Miyuki opened the door slowly.

The bell above the entrance rang softly.

She stepped inside and said:

"Is anyone here?"

Silence.

Then—

Footsteps.

Simon adjusted his glasses and looked down from the second floor.

The moment he saw her—

His eyes widened violently.

"Miyuki…?"

His voice trembled.

He rushed downstairs faster than his old body should've allowed.

And before Miyuki could react—

He hugged her tightly.

"What happened to you?!"

His voice cracked.

"Since you went missing two years ago I haven't seen you…"

He held her shoulders with shaking hands.

"My daughter."

Miyuki froze.

Her amber eyes trembled slightly.

A strange pain suddenly shot through her head.

Images flashed.

A forge.

Laughter.

A younger version of herself.

Fire.

A man smiling while teaching her how to hold a hammer.

Her head throbbed violently.

She stepped backward holding her forehead.

Simon's expression changed.

"Miyuki?"

She looked at him in confusion.

Her chest felt tight.

Her heart hurt for some reason.

But she didn't understand why.

"I…"

Her voice faltered.

"I don't know what you're talking about…"

Another painful flash hit her mind.

A warm hand patting her head.

A voice calling her name.

Her breathing became uneven.

"Maybe…"

She looked at Simon uncertainly.

"It's someone else."

Simon's face fell silent.

Miyuki looked directly at him and asked quietly:

"Are you Simon?"
