Serion Bane stared at Nyk with narrowed eyes.
"Ruin…"
Green lightning crackled around his body violently.
"One of the most annoying powers."
Nyk inhaled slowly.
Then—
BOOOOOM!!!
His monarch energy exploded outward.
Blue ruin energy spread through the battlefield like a plague.
Nearby monsters from the wave suddenly froze.
Their flesh decayed.
Their bones crumbled.
Their bodies rotted away into ash before they even understood what happened.
Serion watched silently.
Then in his head—
"Dangerous…"
His glowing green eyes sharpened.
"Ruin is the end state of everything… or the ability to make anything useless."
Nyk slowly ran his fingers across Destroyer's blade.
VRMMMM.
Ruin energy coated the sword instantly.
The black blade glowed with blue cracks while thin red lines pulsed beneath it.
Serion suddenly raised his axe toward the sky.
"God's Descent."
KRAAAAAAAAAK!!!
Multiple gigantic bolts of green lightning descended from the heavens and struck Serion directly.
The city shook violently.
His hair began glowing green.
His eyes shined like emerald stars.
Lightning wrapped around his entire body.
The pressure around him skyrocketed.
Even space distorted faintly.
Serion slowly exhaled.
In his head—
"I have to get rid of him fast."
The next instant—
BOOOOM!!!
He disappeared.
FTL speed.
Nyk's eyes widened slightly.
CLANG!!
Their weapons collided instantly.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
Shockwaves exploded throughout the skies.
Serion attacked relentlessly.
His axe moved like a storm itself.
Fast.
Heavy.
Precise.
Nyk blocked repeatedly using Destroyer.
Each impact shattered the air around them.
Nyk grinned slightly despite the pressure.
"What strength…"
Serion suddenly threw a punch toward Nyk's face.
Nyk tilted slightly to counter—
But the punch was a feint.
WHAAAM!!!
Serion's real strike buried itself directly into Nyk's stomach.
The impact folded space around him.
Nyk's body flew downward like a meteor.
BOOOOOOM!!!
He crashed into the ground below creating a massive crater.
Dust exploded into the skies.
For a few seconds—
Silence.
Then—
Nyk slowly stood up from the crater.
Blood ran from the corner of his lips.
He wiped it away using his thumb.
Then smiled.
"That's it?"
BOOOOM!!!
He launched himself upward instantly.
Destroyer screamed through the air.
Nyk swung directly toward Serion's neck.
Serion blocked using his axe.
KRAAAANG!!!
The impact bent the clouds apart.
Nyk immediately followed with a kick toward Serion's ribs.
But Serion dodged backward narrowly.
His eyes stayed locked onto Destroyer.
"If I get touched…"
His voice became serious.
"I'm done for."
He suddenly raised the axe overhead.
Green lightning gathered endlessly around it.
Then—
He pointed the weapon toward Nyk.
"Cataclysm."
The heavens exploded.
Thousands of gigantic green lightning bolts rained downward toward Nyk simultaneously.
Entire districts of Tartarus lit up green.
Nyk moved instantly.
BOOOM!!
He dodged left.
Another bolt missed him by inches.
He spun sideways through another.
More bolts chased him relentlessly.
The sky itself became a death zone.
Then suddenly—
Nyk stopped moving.
Four lightning bolts surrounded him from every direction.
Above him—
Serion raised the axe with both hands.
Then brought it downward violently.
KRAAAAAAAAAAAK!!!
A final massive lightning strike descended from the heavens directly onto Nyk.
Nyk calmly raised one hand.
"Barrier."
A blue ruin barrier appeared around him.
The gigantic lightning strike touched it—
And vanished instantly into nothingness.
Serion's pupils shrank.
"Tch—"
BOOOOOM!!!
Nyk disappeared.
Serion barely sensed movement before—
Nyk appeared directly beside him.
A single finger touched Serion's right arm.
Serion's instincts screamed instantly.
He jumped backward several meters away.
His breathing became uneven.
"How is he so fast…?"
His eyes widened slightly.
"I wasn't distracted."
Then—
He looked at his right arm.
The flesh had already started rotting away slowly.
Veins darkened.
Skin decayed.
Ruin spread upward relentlessly.
Serion's expression darkened.
Without hesitation—
SCHKKK!!!
He cut his own arm off instantly.
The severed limb rotted into ash before it even hit the ground.
Serion grabbed his bleeding shoulder and stared at Nyk coldly.
"You won't be so lucky next time."
Green lightning exploded around him.
And Serion retreated.
