Chapter 302 - Chapter 302: Thanos’s Invasion

Blue Moon Star.

This was a paradise that countless people dreamed of.

It could be called the entertainment capital of the entire universe.

The Guardians of the Galaxy had arrived here.

"Hey, Peter, I think we should consider buying a house here. That way we could come here on vacation every year."

Rocket Raccoon shook a glass of liquor in his hand as he lay back on a beach chair, speaking happily to Peter Quill beside him.

Peter Quill rolled his eyes immediately after hearing that.

He said irritably,

"Do you even know how expensive property is on Blue Moon Star? If you really want that idea, I'd be more than happy for you to fully fund it."

Drax the Destroyer chuckled from the side.

"Maybe we should sell Rocket. Then we might be able to afford a house here."

"Hey, hey, do you guys hear what you're saying?"

Rocket Raccoon slapped the ground unhappily.

"I am not merchandise, and I am definitely not a pet. If you keep talking like that, I can sue you for violating my rights."

"Ha, what an interesting concept."

Gamora ignored their banter. In front of her stretched an endless blue ocean.

The scenery here made countless beings across the universe linger in awe.

After a while, Rocket suddenly looked at Peter Quill.

"You sure you don't want to go back to the Ravager homeworld?"

"I think Yondu is probably looking for you right now. If you don't go back, I can't even imagine what he might do."

Peter glanced at him.

"Go back?

Impossible.

Unless he sends someone to drag me back. If he actually catches me, then maybe I'd consider it."

As soon as he finished speaking, Peter suddenly stiffened.

Several armed soldiers were slowly walking toward them.

"Damn it, don't tell me I jinxed it. Did Yondu send people to catch me?"

But no matter who they were, Peter had no intention of sitting still.

Seeing him stand up, the others reacted immediately.

Time to run.

For them, escaping had already become routine. This trip to Blue Moon Star was just a coincidence anyway.

Just as they thought the group would chase them, a loud explosion suddenly rang out.

A hole appeared beside Peter Quill.

Seeing this, Peter's face changed and his body trembled.

"Damn it, they're not Ravagers.

These bastards are here to kill us."

No one needed further explanation.

Drax roared and was about to turn back and fight.

He was not the type to be bullied without fighting back.

And he definitely had the strength to back it up.

But the moment he turned, he suddenly froze.

Behind them, it wasn't just a few enemies.

A fleet of ships was already landing, and large numbers of soldiers were pouring out, all aiming their weapons at them.

"Run!"

At that moment, Drax ran faster than anyone else.

After a chaotic chase, they finally returned to their ship.

"Damn it, we need to take off, now! Take off!"

Drax slammed the seat and shouted loudly.

Rocket Raccoon glared at him while still working the controls.

"I'm doing it! Can't you see that? If you keep yelling, I swear I'll shove my big gun into your mouth so you can feel how powerful it is."

Once their ship took off, the pursuers also boarded their own vessels.

Fortunately, Rocket's piloting skills were excellent. After a series of sharp maneuvers, they finally managed to shake off the enemy.

"Who the hell are these guys?"

Now that they were temporarily safe, everyone finally had time to talk.

"Groot…"

Groot said something.

Rocket nodded.

"You're right. But they can't be bounty hunters. No bounty hunters operate on this scale or with this level of equipment.

Those guys are a real army. A proper military force."

While everyone was still confused, Gamora suddenly spoke.

"I think I know who they are. They're from Thanos's army.

I noticed the mark of Thanos's forces on some of them."

Everyone's expression changed instantly.

They had no reason to doubt Gamora.

She was Thanos's daughter after all.

She knew his forces better than anyone.

Peter Quill grimaced.

"Why are those bastards after us again?"

They had already fought Thanos's forces once before, and it had been extremely difficult.

After Thanos achieved his goal, his army disappeared and stopped pursuing them.

Now they had suddenly reappeared.

This was serious trouble.

"The priority now is to shake them off completely."

But just as those words fell, Rocket suddenly said,

"They're catching up. Everyone hold tight, I'm going to speed up."

A streak of light shot through space.

The chase continued for quite some time.

Before they realized it, the Guardians were already near the Ravager territory.

But cautiously, they avoided entering it.

Peter knew even Yondu would not be able to deal with Thanos.

He didn't want to drag them into this mess.

Meanwhile, another ship was heading toward them from Earth.

It was Tony Stark and his team.

"Honestly, compared to Earth, space is amazing."

Quicksilver grinned.

Even though they were on a mission, he still couldn't resist enjoying the journey.

Wanda glanced at him.

"If there's a next time, I can't guarantee what I'll do to you."

Quicksilver shrank his neck.

He admitted he had done some inappropriate things.

But everyone has moments like that.

He was just unlucky enough to get caught.

"I promise there won't be a next time."

In his mind, he added silently: next time just don't get caught.

"If I'm not mistaken, the Guardians should be nearby. But space is huge. Finding them won't be easy."

Tony Stark said.

Quicksilver raised an eyebrow.

"Maybe we should land on a planet and ask around. We might get some information."

"Honestly, I still don't understand why we're looking for them. I don't see what value they have."

Along the way, they had already learned what the Guardians were.

A group of thieves and criminals calling themselves heroes.

Even if they weren't truly evil, their actions were far from noble.

Quicksilver was skeptical.

And Tony Stark didn't look much better.

"This is a prophecy. I also find it strange, but until we meet them, we should stay objective."

"At least one thing is certain.

They are fighting Thanos…"

He paused slightly.

"Or at least they used to."

"More surprisingly, Stark Industries seems far more famous in space than we expected."

Quicksilver looked impressed.

"I thought Mr. Lock only operated on Earth, maybe just traveled through space occasionally like us.

But clearly that's not the case.

Stark Industries actually has a company in space, and it's booming."

They had seen many Stark-related products along the way.

Even though most were low-end goods, it proved its reputation.

Suddenly, a rumbling sound echoed in the distance.

A ship emerged from a spatial wormhole.

Wormholes were a common method of space travel.

Space was simply too vast for normal travel.

The ship that appeared looked heavily damaged.

Sparks were still flying from its hull.

It was clearly escaping a battle, and without hesitation, it dove straight toward the planet below.

Tony Stark narrowed his eyes.

"That looks like our target."

"Jarvis, confirm whether that ship matches the Guardians' signature."

While Jarvis ran the scan, another ship emerged from the wormhole.

This one was massive and heavily armed.

Then more ships followed.

A fleet.

Tony's expression tightened.

"It's Thanos's army!"

He recognized the insignia immediately.

"Land on the planet now!"

Tony ordered without hesitation.

But the fleet did not hesitate either. They descended as well.

Then a special ship appeared among them.

"So this is the place…"

A deep voice echoed inside.

"Gamora… my daughter."

It was Thanos.

There was a rare trace of emotion in his tone.

Because this time, he had come to kill his own daughter.

But he had no choice.

Soon, the army began a full planetary sweep.

Thousands of soldiers spread across the surface.

The entire planet was sealed.

A perfect trap.

No escape was possible.

"Find them. I don't want to wait anymore."

Thanos ordered.

Under such pressure, the Guardians were quickly exposed.

They fought back fiercely, but more enemies kept arriving.

They were forced to fight while retreating.

"We need a ship. Any ship that can fly. Otherwise we're not getting off this planet!"

Rocket complained.

Their ship was gone.

Destroyed beyond repair.

Peter Quill shouted,

"I know! But where are we supposed to find someone stupid enough to hand over a ship right now?"

At that moment.

A ship appeared nearby.

"Hey, look at that!"

Rocket pointed.

Peter's eyes lit up.

"That's a perfect ship. Looks brand new."

"Maybe we should negotiate," Gamora said.

"Negotiate?"

Rocket looked at her.

"We don't have time for that. We take it, and pay them back later if we ever meet again."

Gamora frowned, but Peter already agreed.

"Yeah, let's do it."

They charged toward the ship.

At the same time, its doors opened.

Tony Stark and the others stepped out.

Tony's eyes lit up.

"Hey, everyone…"

But before he could finish, the Guardians ignored him completely and rushed toward the ship.

Tony froze.

"What the hell are they doing?"

Then he saw the pursuing Thanos forces behind them.

"Oh, damn it. They're trying to steal my ship."

And Tony Stark moved.
