"So… so bold!"
"Kissing at school…"
Saginomiya Isumi stared, cheeks red, covering her little mouth with her sleeve. Even though she hardly ever came to school, she still knew that the woman in the professional outfit and pencil skirt with pink hair was a teacher—and the boy in the school uniform was definitely her classmate.
A teacher-and-student pair secretly making out here? Far too daring.
Watching the two, Isumi's head felt like it was going to burst into steam; a wave of shame washed over her and made her knees go weak.
Is this something I'm even allowed to see?
"Uuu… Mother, I'm no longer pure!" she wailed inwardly, yet couldn't stop watching, wide-eyed with curiosity. After all, Mother had never taught her this kind of knowledge. Or rather, if she didn't ask, her mother never said—leaving her to figure things out herself.
With such a laissez-faire mother, life was hard.
Sensing a gaze, Hayashi Maki glanced over and was a little surprised. That petite girl in a kimono—wasn't she Saginomiya Isumi, Sanzenin Nagi's close friend and the rumored Maiden of Light?
Well, would you look at that—she was peeking while he and Mafuyu-sensei were getting intimate.
He griped inwardly, but didn't stop. Holding Mafuyu, he poured his feelings into the kiss. Mafuyu was already light-headed, melting in his arms without a hint of resistance. She was his now; he could do as he pleased.
Since a little lost cutie had interrupted, Hayashi Maki didn't go overboard. After a bit of affection, he let Mafuyu go and simply held her, sharing the lazy afternoon.
He glanced behind him and locked eyes with Isumi—who was staring, wide-eyed and tomato-red. She squeaked and bolted. Being caught peeking was mortifying; she could only run.
Watching her retreat, Hayashi Maki's lips curled. Perhaps it was time to drop by the Sanzenin estate. He also needed to speed things up with Miss Nagi—otherwise the founding of the Mu Empire would only drift further away.
"You little scamp, what are you looking at?" Mafuyu asked once she'd calmed down, noticing his wandering gaze.
"Nothing—just thinking the scenery over there is nice and wondering if I should bring you there to, er, study next time," Hayashi Maki said with a straight face.
Mafuyu couldn't help rolling her eyes, full of scorn. "You still dare call it 'study'? Hmph, your mind isn't on studying at all!" Obviously he wanted to do bad things and was using "study" as an excuse.
Her eye-roll was so cute Hayashi Maki laughed out loud. "Heh, Sensei is a teacher, after all. I'm your student—what else would I come to you for but 'study'?"
"Shut up, you lech!" Mafuyu huffed, giving him a little punch and then curling up in his arms with her eyes closed. Seeing his smug look always riled her up.
Hayashi Maki dropped it; he just stroked her silky pink hair—the little braid at her temple his favorite to toy with. He was pretty pleased with himself; there was no denying it. When life is good, enjoy it—why not?
As for Mafuyu Kirisu, he had no intention of letting go.
The Maiden of Light had fled in embarrassment; didn't that mean he could keep being bad? Thinking wicked thoughts, his breathing grew hot again.
After a short rest he lowered his head and leaned in. Warm lips pressed to Mafuyu's fair skin.
"Mm… you're doing it again… you're awful…"
Her neck was sensitive; her cheeks flushed, her expression turning shy.
"Sorry—who told Sensei to be so cute? We've got time; no sense wasting it."
…
Back in the office, Mafuyu lay on her desk, her mind a jumble. Just thinking about it made her burn with shame. She'd actually been so bold—getting intimate at school. Before, she'd never even have imagined it. She was a very proper person. But after he "won" her, it felt like he'd corrupted her.
Thinking about that bad man, she couldn't focus on prepping her lesson.
Hayashi Maki, on the other hand, returned to his seat refreshed. Class 1-B was its usual noisy self. At a loose end, he glanced at Gabriel, face-down catching up on sleep, and reached out to gently smooth her messy hair.
He still remembered their first meeting—her golden hair straight and shining, making him think of another Mahiru. Now the lazy angel radiated languor; she spent her days gaming or sleeping. Homework was delayed as long as possible, and she sometimes asked to borrow his to copy—behind Vignette's back.
Feeling the head-pat, Gabriel lifted her eyes and shot him a displeased look. "…What? I'm trying to sleep." She had a mean wake-up temper; if it hadn't been Hayashi Maki—the one who always took care of her—she'd have exploded already.
Hayashi Maki smiled at her dead-fish eyes, opened a yogurt, poked in the straw, and held it to her lips. "Have a yogurt. Let me keep patting your head in return."
"Hah? Who do you think you are?" Gabriel widened her eyes, feigning offense. She was an angel—how could she trade her dignity for a yogurt?
Hayashi Maki blinked. "No? Then I'll give it to Satania."
"I'll take it! Hehe, you read me right. The yogurt's mine; pat away." She clamped down on the straw and drank happily. Dignity couldn't compete with snacks. Embarrassingly, this month's allowance had gone into game microtransactions, and she'd been eating at Hayashi Maki's place almost every day.
Hayashi Maki softly stroked her hair, feeling content. Even a lazy angel is still an angel—and Gabriel had a special status, besides.
Seeing Gabriel submit so easily to head-pats, Satania's eyes shone with worship. "As expected of the Great Demon-senpai! Even Gabriel yields!"
Vignette, meanwhile, could only sigh. Gabriel's standards were getting lower and lower—letting a boy pat her head for food. But… well, she could understand, maybe. After all, it was Hayashi Maki.
Thinking about asking Hayashi Maki for "great demon" training again made Vignette's cheeks flush.
