By the time I got home later that evening, I was so tired, I could barely walk. My entire body hurt so terribly too and I already had about a million missed calls from Gavin and some strange numbers that I knew had to do with the people from my old pack.
Groaning, I slipped out of my car and headed to my porch, and as usual, the bouquet of roses were there, simply resting against the wall while my 'ghost' security guard stood by the door, waiting for me.
And that was strange.
I cocked my eyebrows at him as I walked closer and asked; "What is it?"
The young man who looked no older than twenty-five immediately bowed upon seeing me. He drawled; "Ma'am, I know that I am not supposed to come to you until it is urgent…"
"Ah, yes," I drawled, momentarily fascinated by his fine mismatched eyes, "I know… so tell me please, what's the urgent matter?"
