Chapter 150 - Chapter 150: The Power that Once Terrified the Shinobi World

Among the Six Paths of Pain, the only one Yuto truly found troublesome was the Hell Path, the one with the power of resurrection.

After all, killing an opponent with great effort only for them to be brought back a short while later… just thinking about it was disgusting.

Yuto suddenly understood, at least a little, how Madara and Hashirama must have felt back then when they had faced him.

"Who are you?" the Deva Path asked calmly, his eyes fixed on the young man across from him.

But far away, hidden in a dense patch of forest, Nagato—who was controlling the Six Paths of Pain—actually showed a rare look of shock on his face.

In just that short amount of time, four of the Six Paths of Pain had already been dealt with.

In all the battles Nagato had ever experienced, this had never happened before.

Not even when facing Hanzo the Salamander—once called a "demi-god"—had Nagato, wielder of the Rinnegan (Six Paths Eye), ever felt this kind of shock.

From the start of the fight until now, the youth before him had barely used any ninjutsu at all. He was relying entirely on pure taijutsu.

Controlling only the remaining Deva and Animal Paths, Nagato's gaze grew more serious than ever before.

This youth's power was overwhelming—far greater than that of any member of Akatsuki.

This strength did not come from strange or tricky ninjutsu, but from a kind of absolute, pure power.

Someone so young, and yet this strong… by all rights, there was no way he should have been obscure in the shinobi world.

"You attacked the Mist without even bothering to gather the most basic intel? Looks like you're very confident in your own strength," Yuto said.

He smiled faintly as he looked at the Deva Path.

"Your strength is indeed impressive. However, the power of a god is not something a mere mortal can understand," the Deva Path replied in the same flat tone.

"God? With just a pair of Rinnegan (Six Paths Eye), you actually dare to call yourself a god? Where did you get that courage from?" A cold smile pulled at Yuto's lips. "Looks like the current shinobi world really hasn't seen what true power is."

Nagato's expression changed slightly as he controlled the Deva Path.

From Yuto's words just now, it sounded like this man not only recognized the Rinnegan (Six Paths Eye)…

Even that phrase, "the current shinobi world," filled Nagato with an ominous premonition.

"Even I don't dare to call myself a god. So let me show you—someone who claims to be a god— the power that once made the entire shinobi world tremble in fear," Yuto said calmly.

As his words fell, even separated by quite some distance, Nagato could clearly sense a surge of extreme danger from where Yuto stood.

Boom.

The air itself let out a heavy sound, as if something within it had been instantly sucked away.

Yuto stood quietly in place, but his clothes whipped and snapped as though they were being battered by a violent storm.

Black King's power went fully active.

Deep, muffled rumbles echoed again and again around Yuto as every kind of energy in the surrounding air began to pour madly into his body.

A pillar of wind like a storm of raw energy spread outward from Yuto as its center, expanding rapidly in all directions.

The sky, which had been bright and clear, gradually grew dark and heavy in response to the change in him.

In the next instant, every sound between heaven and earth disappeared.

It was as if the world had suddenly plunged into an eerie, absolute silence.

The wind, the roar of the energy storm—every last sound was swallowed up by Yuto.

Nagato, controlling the Deva and Animal Paths from afar, felt his expression tighten.

Compared to controlling all six, controlling just two of the Paths should have been far easier in terms of chakra expenditure.

Yet now he suddenly felt his consumption skyrocketing.

"He's actually devouring the chakra signals I'm using to control the Six Paths of Pain!" Nagato blurted, face draining.

"What's wrong, Nagato?" Konan asked quickly, alarmed by the look on his face.

Nagato no longer had the attention to spare to answer her. Controlling the remaining Deva and Animal Paths, he immediately launched an attack.

Swish.

A long tongue shot out sneakily from an unseen direction and wrapped itself around Yuto.

A moment later, a gigantic chameleon emerged from its invisible state, and the tongue coiled around Yuto was revealed to be its own.

The enormous chameleon jerked its tongue back savagely, trying to yank Yuto toward its jaws and swallow him whole.

But the beast suddenly realized that no matter how hard it pulled, Yuto's body didn't budge an inch.

Instead, a lance of excruciating pain kept shooting up its tongue. The chameleon hurriedly tried to release Yuto and retract it.

But in the next second, Yuto's hand had already seized hold of its tongue.

With a casual twist of his wrist, he yanked—and the huge chameleon's massive body was ripped off the ground and hurled into the air, then smashed down toward the Deva and Animal Paths.

They both dodged to the side in a rush, while the chameleon hit the ground and burst into a puff of white smoke, vanishing on the spot.

Boom.

Another cloud of white smoke erupted, and this time a rhino the size of a small mountain appeared, charging straight at Yuto.

Expressionless, Yuto lightly stamped his foot and launched himself sidelong into the air, driving a punch into the oncoming rhino's horn.

The horn shattered instantly under his fist, and the mountain-sized rhino was blown up into the sky by that same strike, before likewise dissolving into a cloud of smoke.

Watching all of this through the Deva Path's vision, Nagato's eye twitched uncontrollably.

If either the Deva or Animal Path took a punch like that from Yuto, they'd probably turn into nothing but a pile of meat paste—without the slightest ability to resist.

After effortlessly dealing with two summoned beasts, Yuto's figure flickered and he dashed straight toward the Deva Path.

Seeing him move, Nagato's pupils shrank. He immediately made the Deva Path retreat at full speed.

After the earlier exchange, Nagato already knew that neither Shinra Tensei (Almighty Push) nor Banshō Ten'in (Universal Pull) would have much effect on this man.

And if it came to close-quarters combat, a single touch would likely mean instant death.

I can only use that move!

Yuto was simply too fast. Even though the Deva Path was retreating as quickly as possible, Yuto appeared in front of him in the space of a heartbeat.

Even before he threw a punch, the sheer pressure of the energy radiating off Yuto's body tore open wound after wound all over the Deva Path.

Now!

The moment Yuto appeared before him, a vast amount of chakra erupted violently from within the Deva Path.

"Shin Chibaku Tensei (True Planetary Devastation)!!"

A terrifying gravitational force exploded out in an instant, dragging everything around them at tremendous speed toward a single point.

To make sure Yuto couldn't escape, the Deva Path included himself within the center of Chibaku Tensei (Planetary Devastation).

In just a brief span of time, a massive sphere like a falling meteor had already taken shape, suspended high in the air.
