Miles held Cecilia tightly behind the crates, his senses blazing with the reality that the arrow was merely the start of a serious attack.
"We need to move, now!" Miles barked, dragging Cecilia forward with a powerful shove. As they broke cover, a flurry of more arrows instantly tracked their movement, striking the cobblestones and the wooden crates they had just abandoned. Miles maintained a relentless zig-zag pattern, moving with unnatural speed, his body acting as a shield for Cecilia.
"Stop fighting, Miles! We have to run!" Cecilia pleaded, clinging to his coat, her voice tight with panic. "They're trying to kill us!"
