Taken a back, I checked the caller ID which said it was infact Dal.
"Ade?" I asked.
"That would be the correct name."
"What's up, little birdie." I was confused to way he was calling me on Dal's phone.
"Hey...?" I acknowledged the man on the other end of the call with me.
"Is that all your gonna say to me?" He chuckled lightly under his breath.
"I'm sorry... It's just weird talking to YOU on the phone." I commented on the awkwardness that was surrounded us right now.
"... Ouch but it's fine."
I stayed silent for a moment.
"Moving on... I have you seen Dal today?"
"Dal umm... No actually I haven't. I haven't even gone outside today so no." He hummed softly and it seemed as if he was thinking for a second.
For a second I thought he was gonna end the call right then and there but he indeed had more to say.
"If you hear from him, hit me up." I suggested.
"Sure, I will definitely do that." I said smiling because he said I should call him if I hear from Dal which means we can talk again soon. Hopefully it won't be as awkward as this time.
Well... The awkwardness is partially my fault, I just don't know how to talk sometimes to people, more like I'm scared I will say the wrong one.
On the phone at least, in person I can to Ade normally cause he makes me feel comfortable.
"See around, little birdie." I Sensed he was smirk his usual smirk on the other side of the screen. It made me roll my eyes a little.
"You too, Golding."
The beep sound and I let down the phone, placing it upside-down. In that moment a knock appeared on the door behind me. The doorknob turned to reveal a panting man, who I knew only as Dal Golding.
Dal raise the finger indicating that he needed a moment to recover from possibly running a mile to get here.
He continued on like that for what felt like forever. His chest retracting in and out, I could practically see his breath. A slow smile appeared in relief. I had been wondering where he had went, it's not like him to disappear randomly.
"I just ran a mile to get here."
Ha!. Knew it.
"I can predict the future." I stared off into space satisfied with myself.
"Huh?"
I shake my head. "Nothing just mumbling to my self." I said. "Anyway where have you been." I asked.
"Running." Dal came closer with his hand on his chest and slightly stretching a little. Soon his left hand was placed on the base of his neck.
"I could tell... but why exactly?" I questioned him. "Oh hi Dal." Notle ran towards Dal's side. She has always seemed to like Dal out of all the other people I know. I could see why, their personalities were nearly the same.
"Hey Notty, did you get me one of those too." He pointed the pack of powdered juice. She nodded.
"Umm here it is." He looked around surveying the surrounding area checking if Mom was around.
"Shh!... Just don't tell mom."
"My lips are sealed." He made a zipping motion then threw it away.
"I'm going to get more for my secret stash." She said leaving the room. "Does she know it's not secret if she tells people about it."
"That's what I'm saying." I pointed at him then shrugged.
"That's what I'm saying."
"Nevermind that why the hell do you look like you just did pilates for the first time.
"Don't remind me of that, I still have trauma from then bro." The memory of us doing pilates for the first time appeared on my mind. We did it because we saw a video on TikTok of a woman saying pilates was harder than most workout.

"That's bullshit your telling me this girly pop thing is even hard?" Dal questioned the whole thing and was very convinced that it was easy.
"I don't know man maybe?, I have never done it before." He placed his on his chin and rubbed his inexistent beard.
"We should try it and prove that it's not." Out of boredom and curiosity I agreed.
...
"Hello right this way. We will begin soon."
The next day we enter that pilates class, but came out completely ruined. Sweating in places that I we didn't even know we had.
"Thank you, come next time."
"S...sure." I lied. I was never entering a pilates class again, never in my class.
"How do women do this shit." Dal said with his pilates bag hanging low on he's arm.
"I have a new found respect for them." I already respected women and their rights but this pilates class only made that respect higher.
"Agreed." He nodded. "Come on, let's go home." He whimpered as the bones of his feet touched the ground. I'm pretty sure Dal was limping right at this moment.
He put the base of his arm over my shoulder and we walked off.
"Aww... awe." Those were the sound that escaped our mouths as we went home that day.
That woman was right, never doubt a woman.

"I would definitely rather die then do that again."
"So what happened." I asked for the third time.
"Nothing really." I raised an eyebrow at the answer. Off course something happened.
"Yes I'm serious." Dal's voice pitched a little higher then usual which definitely meant he was lying.
I signed and let it slide but it didn't mean I was gonna forget about it.
"What you don't believe." Dal said.
"Yeah you know why." I got up to clean my plate.
"Why...?" He extended his hands in question.
"Your voice is doing the thing." I got up close in his face as I passed him on my way to the sink.
"No it is not." I pressed my lips.
"There it is." I said as the water from the tap flowed out.
"Fine I'll tell you." I stopped what I was doing and listened to my friend.
"Go on."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"I... I..."
