A map was laid out before Jiraiya,Hank,Dave and Mitsuri, along with the othwr B-ranked awakeners
"How sure are we that a zombie horde is gonna come! We didnt even recieve any warnings from the system " A black skinned man asked,anyone with half a mind could tell what he was thinking.
Dave sighed as he spoke,
"You are gonna have to trust me on this one Veto,just consider it a serious drill, good if there are no enemies but be ready...Jiraiya brother, these areas are backed by other stronghold so if a wave comes,it will cross those area, meanwhile these two points are our main point of defense." Dave began explaining the main points of the briefing

In the end Jiraiya and Dave took charge of the south end of the base while Hank and Mitsuri took their positions at the West end,the distance wasnt much so support each other was a must, the two B ranks available were incharge of the east and North ends in case an emergency arose.
Jiraiya was a sage so he had a good sensory talent,meanwhile Hank had none so they were relying on a C ranked awakener to look for any sign of zombies.
Every awakener and non-awakener were already in position, waiting for the supposed unannounced horde to attack, half of them were convinced by Dave and half were still giving the newcomers,aka, Hank and the others, a look of annoyance.
Hank and Mitsuri didnt pay them any mind, they were busy in their own worlds, a blue colored Awakener stone in their hands.

Mitsuri had already crushed hers, gaining the ability to control Plant life,turning them into plant like monsters of various kinds.
"What are you thinking about,Hank-kun!, still stuck about what to do with your core?" Mitsuri asked, her beautiful face came into view,along with her massive assets as she bent down to come face to face with him as he was sitting.
"Y-yeah! I dont really know what ability i might get, also, my world has a group of people with abilities....and they are often....captured"
"Oh...that's sad, as long as a person is good, i dont think they should be hurt based on how they look"
"Haha! That's why everyone likes you Mitsuri-chan" Hank teased the clueless looking girl, putting the crystal aside, he had to consider his world as well, didn't want to be branded a mutant.
[DING! EMERGENCY FROM THE VOICE OF THE WORLD, A ZOMBIE WAVE IS ABOUT TO APPROACH IN FIVE MINUTES]
The world trembled as the supposed voice of the world spoke in the minds of every awakener, surprising them as they gave the newcomers a nod of respect and approval.
Everyone hurriedly rushed to position, their heart clenched ,wills resolute as they prepared themselves.

[Boss! What do we do, we are still far away from the stronghold,can Vice captain really hold the fort?" A middle aged man asked a 20 year old boy with long black hair tied in a pony tail, a blue energy construct in hand.
The boy smiled as he looked far away, his eyes twinkling
"Yeah...he is not someone we can measure with common sense...he is a special guy,lets hurry back" he spoke, picking up speed, the others shrugged as they also picked up speed.

Countless growling noises brought a tense chill into the minds of those standing on the walls.
*Ratatatata*
The sound of gunfire, Arrows and surprisingly for Hank, canons filled the battlefield as the non awakeners and some long range awakeners started killing the zombies frantically.
Hank and Mitsuri kept an eye on the battlefield for any signs of C or above ranked zombies so that they can go in an fight since most guns are useless against those zomhies.
After a few minutes of zombie slaughter, Hank's eyes fell on a different kind of zombies, coincidentally the C ranked operator next to him also noticed the weird zombies
"Spotted a C rank runner Zombie!" He shouted over to the awakeners,
"On it"
The zombie had a lean build, its body glowing silver glow with blade like arms as it moved like a phantom through the crowd.
Before it could reach the walls ,Three awakeners lept into the battlefield, a volley of fire spells, wind blades and physical skills were displayed, the zombie died under the blade of the C rank awakeners as they retreated
"So many zombies, and now even C ranks have started showing up!" Mitsuri said in surprise, her hands rested on her snake sword which had been further enhanced by Dave's skill.
"Yeah, Dave said the previous zombie horde went on for three hours"
"Can we last that long?"
"We will have to" Hank replied solemnly, in fact, he wasnt as calm as he looked,his nerves were wrecked.
He, a normal human with a tragic past,now a transmigrator had never been to battle, this was new territory for him
After an hour of back and forth between zombies and the Awakeners, the first B rank threat was spotted.
It was a Hammer wielding giant zombie, its eyes a molten red as it charged towards the walls, crushing zombies beneath its feet.
"Mitsuri!"
Hank yelled as he used body flicker, flashing towards the Giant zombie,Hank had already studied every zombie rhe stronghold had fought against, and this one was particularly troublesome one.
