Cherreads

Chapter 174 - Chapter 174

"Damn it—how dare a mere fox be this arrogant!"

Otsutsuki Urashiki's eyelids twitched. He stared from Naruto to Kurama, his eyes icy.

He brushed aside the warning signs in his heart.

With a flick of his wrist, the glowing red fishing rod snapped forward. The crimson line shot straight at Naruto like a bolt of lightning.

Kurama felt a terrifying lock-on and screamed internally. With a whoosh, he leapt from Naruto's palm onto Naruto's shoulder.

The red hook stabbed straight toward Naruto's chest.

Naruto smiled and flicked his finger.

The hook rebounded.

"What—no. You're not Uzumaki Naruto. Who are you?!"

Urashiki yanked the line back, staring at Naruto like he was facing a mortal enemy.

That hook had never failed him.

Even Gaara—one of the Five Kage—couldn't stop it and had his chakra ripped away instantly.

Yet this boy had knocked it aside with a single finger.

Unbelievable.

"Hahahaha!" Kurama crowed smugly. "Of course my master is Uzumaki Naruto! Chunin at seven, Jonin at twelve, Hokage before thirteen—a once-in-a-generation genius! You're just a lousy Otsutsuki. Blocking you with a finger is only natural!"

The Konoha shinobi erupted into chatter.

"Lord Hokage is incredible. That red hook completely overwhelmed us, but he brushed it away effortlessly."

"Otsutsuki clan? Have you ever heard of that?"

"Isn't the Sage of Six Paths called Otsutsuki Hagoromo?"

"Wasn't the Sage of Six Paths just a myth?"

"Idiot. Where there's smoke, there's fire. This world is deeper than we thought—this guy is proof."

Naruto's presence alone steadied everyone's nerves.

This new Hokage hadn't shown all his abilities yet, but his combat power alone was enough to make everyone feel safe.

"Something's very wrong with this world," Urashiki muttered. "Uzumaki Naruto became Hokage at twelve? In this era, Hokage should be Tsunade… no, this is wrong—completely wrong. I should retreat."

He scanned the area.

Most Konoha ninja were nothing to him—but there were several who could threaten him. Especially the black-cloaked Sasuke watching him closely.

Worst of all, no matter how he looked at Naruto, he couldn't see the bottom of his strength.

Urashiki decided immediately.

Dark cracks opened behind him in space.

"Leaving already?" Naruto's voice sounded beside him.

A hand casually brushed the air. The forming space rift smoothed over and vanished.

Urashiki's face drained of color. Cold sweat soaked his back.

"Thousand Paper Cranes—Instant Technique!"

His eyes flashed blue as the Rinnegan activated. His body shattered into countless red light fragments that scattered in all directions.

In the next instant, he reappeared in a hidden corner of Konoha, gasping.

"Damn it… I really thought I was going to die just now!"

For an Otsutsuki, he had never experienced terror like that.

Slip.

Get out—now.

He abandoned all thoughts of the Nine-Tails.

This world was far too dangerous.

"Yellow Springs Hirasaka!"

Another space rift opened.

Urashiki stepped toward it—

—and froze.

A hand reached out from inside the rift and clamped around his throat.

Naruto stepped out of the tear in space, lifting Urashiki like a chicken.

Urashiki struggled wildly, trying to activate his techniques, but despair flooded his face.

Nothing worked.

His chakra wouldn't respond at all—completely suppressed by a terrifying force.

"Master… that was horrifying," Kurama whispered from Naruto's shoulder. "Way scarier than the Sage of Six Paths."

He had seen everything.

Urashiki's techniques were profound and bizarre—far beyond ordinary ninjutsu. Even in Kurama's long life, they were rare.

Yet in Naruto's hands, Urashiki was no stronger than livestock.

"This space technique is really convenient," Naruto laughed.

He reached out and touched the air. A dark vortex formed instantly.

"This part resembles Flying Thunder God… this part is like Sasuke's space channel… and this is similar to Yellow Springs Hirasaka… yeah, tweak it like that…"

He studied the distortion thoughtfully, completely ignoring the man he was holding.

Urashiki burned with humiliation and rage.

Ignored.

"Damn you, Uzumaki Naruto! Let me go! Fight me properly! You're using cheap tricks! I still have abilities I haven't even used—"

"Hey, shut it," Kurama snapped. "If you interrupt my master, you'll really regret it. So you're one of those Otsutsuki who want to destroy the ninja world? You don't look like much."

Kurama sneered.

Back in the Sage of Six Paths' time, the Otsutsuki were spoken of like ultimate enemies.

But seeing Urashiki helpless like this swept all that dread away.

"Shut up, fox!" Urashiki roared. "If I hadn't run into this monster, your Nine-Tails would be nothing but a snack!"

"But you did run into my master," Kurama shot back smugly. "If you don't like it, try running again."

Kurama grinned shamelessly, "Master" rolling off his tongue effortlessly.

Urashiki trembled with fury—utterly powerless.

"Ah, got it," Naruto said suddenly, smiling in satisfaction.

In just minutes, he had fused Flying Thunder God, Sasuke's space techniques, and Otsutsuki space ninjutsu into something entirely his own.

"Let's call it… Far Reach."

In a single step—

Reality twisted.

Kurama and Urashiki felt space fold around them, and the next moment they reappeared back in the original district, right in front of the Konoha ninja.

Instant teleportation.

"Hokage-sama is back!"

"As expected—he caught the enemy!"

"I told you there was nothing to worry about."

"Our Hokage really is invincible."

Cheers erupted as the shinobi's admiration skyrocketed.

"All right," Naruto said calmly. "Stand down. Alert lifted. Villagers can return to normal."

He turned.

"You—come with me."

Naruto led Jiraiya, Tsunade, Uchiha Shisui, and Uchiha Itachi toward the western edge of Konoha.

"Lord Hokage, where are we going?" Jiraiya asked, confused.

"To a fun place," Naruto replied with a grin. "This guy's perfect as a practice boss. You'll need strong opponents in the future."

At the edge of a dense forest, Naruto stepped forward.

Two massive trees slid aside, revealing a downward tunnel.

Naruto carried Urashiki in first.

The others followed, curiosity growing.

As they descended, lights along the walls flickered on one by one.

"Incredible," Jiraiya breathed. "That's a Fireball Technique engraving—it absorbs chakra automatically and reignites itself."

The lighting itself was ninjutsu.

Fire Style used without hand seals.

Pure fantasy.

"Just lighting gadgets," Naruto said casually, not even turning around.
