Chapter 167 - Chapter 168: Musk Reef, Opening the Abyssal Spiral

He arrived at Starsnatch Cliff.

Clorinde looked at the flat land on top of the high cliff, where Mondstadt's Cecilia grew.

The flower branches swayed, carrying a delicate fragrance. The Cecilia stubbornly grew on the large slope of the cliff.

"The Cecilia's name and appearance are both beautiful. It only grows in high, cold, and windy places, like a wanderer whose true heart is hard to touch," Alex said, reading the description of the Cecilia and introducing it to Clorinde.

Clorinde nodded, then got out of the car. He walked along the cliff, slowly making his way to the very tip, the steepest part.

Alex followed behind, also getting out to walk with Clorinde, but he casually picked several Cecilia flowers.

He only picked a dozen or so, less than a third of the Cecilia blooming on the cliff.

Clorinde reached the edge of the cliff and boldly sat down without any safety precautions.

The view in the distance was truly breathtaking.

The foreign scenery and air were fresh experiences for Clorinde.

He wasn't overly joyful, just quietly sitting there, appreciating the beautiful view.

Alex also walked over at this point and sat next to Clorinde, calming his mind and looking at the surrounding scenery.

Alex looked down at his feet and exclaimed, "Oh my, it's really high! Someone with acrophobia would probably pass out."

Alex accompanied Clorinde in quiet contemplation for a long time, enduring the ceaseless strong winds on the cliff.

Then, Alex inadvertently turned his head and discovered a small island in the distance.

That was... Alex was startled and stood up.

He hadn't had enough stamina to fly across from here before, so he had used Kaeya to slowly cross the sea by freezing it.

This was the origin of the 'Cryo Bridge True Monarch'.

Thinking of this, Alex then thought of the Spiral Abyss, which is where the Abyss is located, Musk Reef.

However, Musk Reef wasn't here; it was further down, to the right of Cape Oath.

One could enter through a spacetime tunnel, or cross by freezing the sea, or even fly over.

And at this moment, Alex decided to just fly over in his car, avoiding the hassle of unlocking the wind current.

How could he have forgotten the Abyss before, just having fun in the open world?

But before that, Alex thought about taking Clorinde to Crab Island to catch some Crabs.

After all, he hadn't eaten Crab since arriving here, and he hadn't had any for a long time.

"Let's go take a look over there," Alex said, pointing at the distant island.

"Whatever you want," Clorinde replied.

So he started the car again and flew directly from Starsnatch Cliff towards the island with Clorinde.

"Quick, quick! It's running towards you!" Alex said, holding a Crab in his hand and putting it into his backpack, seeing a startled blue Crab running towards Clorinde.

Clorinde merely squatted down, and the next moment, the Crab was firmly caught in his hand, then handed to Alex.

Clorinde wasn't surprised by Crabs; after all, there were more Crabs in Fontaine than here.

The small island wasn't big, and Alex, who had caught quite a few Crabs along the way, stopped.

He looked at the distant sundial and remained silent for a long time. He only vaguely remembered it being somewhere in the Thousand Winds Temple.

Anyway, 'see you again', let the Traveler come to solve the puzzle. He really couldn't, it was a headache.

Finally, Alex left this place with Clorinde.

There seemed to be nothing here except this sundial, just lots of Crabs. He had no desire to stay longer.

Before taking Clorinde to Musk Reef.

Alex took Clorinde to many famous Mondstadt locations.

Windrise, Stormterror's Lair, etc... Clorinde's foreign trip could be considered an experience of many new sceneries.

Finally, Alex brought Clorinde to Musk Reef.

Looking at the red glowing portal ahead, Alex drove straight towards it.

He finally stopped the car in front of the gate. After Clorinde got out, Alex also put away his Baron Bunny.

After all, it was a unique Abyss challenge in the game, but here, could it also be challenged, and even give out Primogems?

Alex touched the portal with anticipation.

The next moment, his phone vibrated, then displayed a screen.

["A great civilization, now annihilated, once built magnificent corridors deep within the earth, and a spiral leading to the unknown.

What precious treasures are hidden within, and what powerful monsters lie dormant... Now, the inverted spires buried in mystery, they are called — the Spiral Abyss."]

["Spiral Abyss function, unlocked."]

["The Spiral Corridor has 8 floors. After all are unlocked, the Abyssal Moon Spire will be permanently open."]

When Alex and Clorinde walked in, they instantly arrived on a large circular platform.

The surrounding scenery was deep blue, with countless small stars, as if in the night sky.

The outermost layer around the platform showed green air currents constantly swirling.

It was clear that this was an invisible wall, preventing anyone from leaving this area.

And at the same time, there were eight large doors in the eight directions around the platform.

The doors were numbered one to eight.

Clorinde looked at the surrounding scenery, appearing somewhat shocked; it was his first time seeing such a Domain.

Here, he felt as if he was in the starry sky.

Looking at these eight doors, Alex was delighted.

This was so cool! The Abyss could actually be played here!

Isn't this super awesome! Currently, this platform has eight floors. After clearing all of them, it will probably switch to another platform, becoming four.

Those would be the classic allogene Abyss floors 9 to 12.

Of the eight doors at this moment, only the door showing 'one' was spinning with a deep blue vortex. The other seven were calm as water, with a lock symbol in the middle.

"Da da da ~" Alex ran into the first large door.

After entering the door, there was nothing but a smaller platform that could only accommodate three or four people standing.

All other areas were dark walls, with no gaps, including the ceiling only a meter above his head.

Then, a huge screen lit up in front of Alex.

The screen displayed all the characters Alex had seen since coming here.

Their levels also corresponded one-to-one.

However, at this moment, all the character icons, except for Clorinde, were grayed out.

Seeing this, Alex's heart suddenly sank.

No way, no way! Could it be that... in the future, if he wanted to clear the Abyss, he would have to max out all their levels?

And even equip them with good gear, and then farm good artifacts?

The most crucial thing was, when he cleared the Abyss, he couldn't control eight characters himself?
