Ryōsuke still had a smile on his face.
"Just because Indra couldn't do it doesn't mean I can't."
"Besides, is awakening the Rinnegan really that difficult?"
The Seven-Tails, Chōmei, almost wanted to retort. Was it not difficult to awaken the Rinnegan?
The man's confident tone made the beast doubt its own reality. Why was this white-masked man in black so self-assured?
To awaken the Rinnegan was to evolve from a mortal into a sage.
It was like an ordinary beast evolving into a Tailed Beast.
This was clearly impossible. No matter how strong a beast was, it could never surpass a Tailed Beast.
"You're dreaming."
"Who gave you the confidence to think awakening the Rinnegan is such a simple task?"
Ryōsuke replied calmly.
"Dreaming? I already know exactly how to awaken the Rinnegan."
"I am an Uchiha and a descendant of Indra. By transplanting the cells of an Asura descendant and successfully integrating them into my own body, I can awaken the Rinnegan and master the power of all creation."
This was the method Uchiha Madara had used to awaken his Rinnegan.
However, his awakening process had been extremely slow.
Even after using secret techniques to integrate Senju Hashirama's cells, it took him decades to awaken the Rinnegan.
Ryōsuke, however, was confident that he could achieve it in a very short time.
He was powerful enough now to conquer even the cells of Senju Hashirama.
But awakening the Rinnegan that way still had a major flaw.
One that Ryōsuke found intolerable.
Fusing with Hashirama's cells would cause a hideous likeness of the man to manifest on one's body.
He had no desire to fuse with the cells of others or introduce impurities into his own physical form.
He preferred to remain pure.
Chōmei was stunned, forced to consider the logic behind the man's words.
Indra and Asura were both children of the Sage of Six Paths.
Indra inherited the Sage's ocular power, while Asura inherited his physical vitality.
Both had inherited a portion of the Sage's power. Now, this man claimed that by fusing with the cells of an Asura descendant, he could combine both halves.
If he did that, it really might be possible to awaken the Rinnegan.
This man was truly astonishing. Even the Sage of Six Paths had never mentioned such a method to them.
Even Indra and Asura had been unaware of it.
Yet this person had thought of it, and Chōmei actually found his reasoning sound.
If the man awakened the Rinnegan, he truly could destroy him, for the Rinnegan held the power of both creation and destruction.
Chōmei grew fearful at the thought.
He had gained his life with great effort.
He could only yield.
"I will behave and control my chakra. I won't affect the Jinchūriki."
Ryōsuke smiled.
"Good. A very wise decision."
With that, Ryōsuke's consciousness withdrew from the sealed space.
Communicating directly with the Tailed Beast was the root solution, ensuring Fū would be fully free from its influence.
Later, when Fū grew a bit older, the Tailed Beast would simply provide its chakra for her to use willingly.
Chapter 304: Threatening the Seven-Tails (2/2)
Within the dim space, Chōmei remained shaken, though he could move now.
Who was this person? How could he be so powerful that he could directly threaten his existence?
Despite his resentment, he had no choice but to comply.
He began to carefully control his chakra, preventing any leaks.
Back in reality, Uchiha Ryōsuke looked at the still-standing Fū and smiled.
"You don't have to worry about the Tailed Beast's influence anymore."
"I've had a friendly chat with him."
"Of course, if he tries anything again, I'll give him a stern warning."
Fū was astonished.
'Did the God King really threaten the Tailed Beast inside me to keep it in line?'
She was overjoyed and couldn't help but look at him with admiration.
"Thank you, God King!"
At that moment, two Takigakure ninja emerged from the Great Waterfall, supporting the Takigage.
Seeing the white-masked man and Fū in the distance, they approached.
Fū ran toward them.
"Lord Takigage, are you alright?"
The Takigage forced himself to stand straight.
"I'm fine... I'll pull through."
Fortunately, he was a middle-aged man in his prime. Otherwise, that bastard Kakuzu's assault would have certainly been fatal.
Even now, it took everything he had just to stay upright.
Looking at the white-masked man and the small masked figure, he asked in confusion.
"Who are they? And where did Kakuzu and those other two go?"
This was the man who had kicked Kakuzu away earlier.
Fū spoke up.
"This is the God King. I'm not sure who the smaller masked one is yet."
"But they are good people."
"As for the three who attacked the village, they've all been dealt with by the God King."
Fū pointed toward the massive canyon in the distance.
She continued happily.
"That rogue ninja Kakuzu, who injured you so badly, was reduced to dust by a super-powerful strike from the God King's giant!"
The Takigage was likely the only person left in the village who treated her with any kindness.
Fū felt a great sense of relief that Kakuzu had been defeated.
The Takigage and the two ninja turned to look, witnessing the deep canyon and the mountain that had been cleaved in two.
They were struck speechless with awe.
That landscape hadn't been there before. It was clearly the aftermath of the battle between the masked man and the trio.
Fū's words confirmed that the white-masked man in black—the God King—had caused it.
What a domineering name. Having created such a terrifying scene, he certainly lived up to it.
They had heard the thunderous booms and the sounds of the earth shattering from within the village.
That was why the Takigage had forced himself to come out.
He had thought an earthquake was threatening to bury the village. He never dreamed this was the result of a single person's attack.
Even without having witnessed it, the destruction left him profoundly shaken.
