Haku felt relieved after hearing Lord God King's words.
At the same time, she was a bit curious about the Summoning Jutsu.
Was it a jutsu that could summon Tailed Beasts at will?
That was quite interesting; she wanted to learn it too.
Then, the God King led Fū and Haku a long distance away until the towering figure of the Tailed Beast was no longer in sight.
The God King told Haku and Fū to step back a bit to clear out a massive space.
He then formed hand signs and slammed one hand onto the ground.
"Summoning Jutsu."
A massive cloud of smoke billowed out.
Soon after, the colossal figure of the Five-Tails appeared on the previously empty ground.
Ryōsuke looked at the successfully summoned Five-Tails, feeling very pleased.
'It looks like a success. The Summoning Jutsu really is that simple.'
'From now on, I can just summon guys like the Tailed Beasts whenever I need them. There's no need to keep them sealed inside the Sealing Bottle anymore.'
'Perhaps I can simultaneously control the Six-Tails, Three-Tails, and Eight-Tails that I've collected using genjutsu.'
'That might be a bit of a challenge for my visual prowess.'
'Controlling so many Tailed Beasts naturally requires an immense amount of power.'
'But it doesn't matter. This is just a hypothesis, and I might not even need to use these Tailed Beasts anyway.'
'There's simply no need to use them.'
Fū watched as the God King summoned the Five-Tails out of thin air.
She was incredibly amazed by how miraculous this ninjutsu was.
'If only I could summon the Tailed Beast inside my body like that.'
'Tailed Beasts are so strong; they would be perfect for beating up those bad guys.'
Haku looked at the giant Tailed Beast, noting its lifeless eyes and expressionless face.
She walked up beside the God King.
"Lord God King, is the Five-Tails being controlled by you?"
Ryōsuke replied.
"Yes. Tailed Beasts are too dangerous."
"If left uncontrolled, they would cause massive destruction."
Haku said, feeling a bit sympathetic,
"But looking at the Tailed Beast like this, I can't help but feel a little sorry for it."
She felt that Tailed Beasts only became so destructive because humans sealed them away inside the tiny confines of a human body.
Ryōsuke glanced at Haku. 'This little one actually thinks the Tailed Beast is pitiful.'
'That is quite rare among ordinary people.'
'Aside from Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama—one who could easily manipulate Tailed Beasts, and the other who could easily subdue them.'
'Both of them had the strength to consider Tailed Beasts non-threatening.'
'But the other 99.9% of ninja probably view Tailed Beasts as natural disasters.'
'Entities that could easily bring catastrophic destruction to their ninja villages.'
Ryōsuke, however, knew the truth about the Tailed Beasts. They were not inherently evil creatures.
They were simply special lifeforms created by the Sage of Six Paths using the chakra of the Ten-Tails.
He didn't know when exactly they had been reduced to mere weapons of war.
Sealed inside human bodies just so their power could be exploited.
'I suppose that is human greed.'
'All things considered, they really are quite pitiful.'
"Since you sympathize with the Tailed Beast so much, I will have a proper chat with her."
Haku was a bit happy to hear the God King's words.
'Does Lord God King mean he is going to reason with the Tailed Beast?'
'To make it so she is no longer a threat, and then release his control over her?'
Ryōsuke locked eyes with the Tailed Beast and directly entered the genjutsu space he had created.
Inside, the colossal Five-Tails immediately glared at the intruder who had entered the illusion.
Its eyes gleamed with ferocity.
"Human, you bastard, how dare you control me!"
"You even forced me into a summoning contract, calling me back and forth like a toy!"
Ryōsuke was a bit surprised to hear her speak.
'That feminine voice... it seems she is actually female.'
He smiled and said,
"No offense, but you are a Tailed Beast. I was just worried you might go on a rampage."
"I came in here to make a deal with you. Submit to me for a hundred years, and I will give you your freedom. How about it?"
Given the lifespan of a Tailed Beast, a hundred years was undoubtedly a very brief period. They were creatures with incredibly long lives.
Relatively speaking, this amount of time should be insignificant to them.
After all, they had lived from the era of the Sage of Six Paths all the way to the present day. Surely, she would be willing to accept for the sake of freedom.
She had been locked inside human bodies for so long, after all.
Putting himself in her shoes, even he would go crazy from being cooped up like that.
Hearing this, the Five-Tails, Kokuō, was slightly stunned.
Then, she glared coldly at this human. To think he wanted her to submit—what a whimsical, delusional fantasy.
"I am a lifeform created by the Sage of Six Paths. I will never submit to anyone other than the Sage of Six Paths."
She had her pride as a Tailed Beast, and it went without saying that the other Tailed Beasts would never submit either.
Ryōsuke was left speechless by her response. 'Another Tailed Beast who obeys the Sage of Six Paths but refuses to submit to anyone else.'
'Even though my current combat power could defeat Six Paths-level experts.'
'I could probably even defeat the Sage of Six Paths himself.'
'But the Tailed Beasts won't submit. The core issue is that I don't have the Rinnegan.'
'Not having the Rinnegan is also quite inconvenient for my upcoming plans.'
'Because right now, I need to collect the Tailed Beasts, turn them into my own power, and then unify the shinobi world to establish a fundamental order.'
'For me, that essentially means sweeping across the Five Great Nations and establishing supreme hegemony.'
'I want to create a world that I like, or at the very least, one that doesn't make me uncomfortable.'
'Only the Rinnegan can truly subdue the Tailed Beasts, and right now, I only have the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.'
'Although I can coerce the Tailed Beasts, I can't keep doing this forever.'
'Now I feel like my Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan has lost some of its prestige.'
'If I want to unify the shinobi world, I will eventually have to face Nagato from the Rain Village. He has the Rinnegan. The fact that he has it and I don't makes me feel even more inadequate.'
'Even if my Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan can defeat his Rinnegan right now...'
'...it still feels like it lacks a certain grandeur.'
'I wonder when my Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan will be able to upgrade.'
'In the future, when I set out to unify the shinobi world...'
'...revealing my Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan will probably only make people fear me.'
'Some might even dare to challenge me to a fight.'
'Let alone willingly submitting to me.'
'And I can't exactly just wipe out everyone who resists.'
'If I did that, wouldn't rivers of blood flow across the shinobi world?'
'How would I be any different from a great demon lord then?'
'Even if I didn't care about the slaughter, it would still contradict my goal of unifying the shinobi world.'
'The whole point is to build a beautiful world where I can live comfortably. If I end up turning it into a foul, chaotic mess instead, wouldn't that be a massive pain in the ass?'
'And the reason for this headache ultimately stems from a lack of absolute power.'
'It's not that my current strength is lacking.'
'It's just that the Rinnegan is the eye of the Sage of Six Paths. Any long-established figure in the shinobi world with a bit of historical knowledge knows that the legendary Sage of Six Paths unified the shinobi world.'
'If I had the Rinnegan of the Sage of Six Paths, unifying the shinobi world would be much easier.'
'I need to find an opportunity to upgrade to the Rinnegan.'
'For the sake of my own goals.'
