Chapter 438 - MTT Chapter 438: A Way to Understand Each Other Better

Yamato was surprised to hear Ryōsuke's words.

"Ryōsuke, aren't you going to return Wano Country to its own people?"

She hadn't expected Ryōsuke to want to annex Wano Country; this was completely beyond her expectations.

Ryōsuke said with a smile, "Return it to its own people? I never said that, did I?"

"But rest assured, at the very least, I won't let the citizens of Wano Country suffer anymore. Perhaps in the future, they will even take pride in being members of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets."

Yamato said no more. Her original goal was simply for Wano Country to break free from the rule of Kaido and Kurozumi Orochi.

To stop the suffering of Wano's citizens.

This current outcome aligned with her wishes.

Ryōsuke looked down at Queen the Plague and Jack the Drought, who held the highest status. Their combat power was also the highest, making them the most capable of commanding respect.

"Queen the Plague, Jack the Drought, gather your forces. Tomorrow, prepare to set out and eliminate Kurozumi Orochi's faction, bringing Wano Country under the control of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets."

"Understood, my lord," the two responded.

They were secretly pleased.

They had long despised Kurozumi Orochi. When he visited Onigashima as a guest before, he truly acted as if he were the Shogun.

He was nothing but despicable and useless, only able to throw his weight around by riding on the coattails of their Beast Pirates.

After giving these orders, Ryōsuke dismissed the meeting.

That night, Ryōsuke sat on the top floor, overlooking the surrounding sea and the massive island of Wano Country in the distance. In truth, Wano Country was just a giant island itself.

Tomorrow, he would be able to take this massive island into his own hands.

At this time, Yamato also walked up to the top floor.

Her expression wasn't as happy as before she met Ryōsuke, because she couldn't understand this man.

Ryōsuke looked at Yamato, noticing her expression.

"What's wrong? We're going to save Wano Country tomorrow. Are you not happy?"

Yamato said calmly, "It's fine. It's just that I can't quite see through you. I don't understand what you're thinking."

"I feel like I've never truly known you. Where exactly did you come from?"

Compared to saving Wano Country—a guaranteed success—she now wanted to understand Ryōsuke a little more.

After all, he was her man.

Looking at him felt like looking through a layer of mist, making it impossible to see him clearly, which left her feeling a bit uneasy.

Ryōsuke said with a smile, "I came from another world. Does that make you feel a bit more at ease?"

Yamato looked surprised. "You're actually from another world? No wonder you're so powerful."

"What is the world you came from like?"

"A shinobi world, where people can use all sorts of astonishing ninjutsu," Ryōsuke answered.

Yamato finally understood. "No wonder you can use miraculous healing arts and time-stopping abilities. Are those ninjutsu too?"

"That's right, of course they are ninjutsu," Ryōsuke replied with a smile. "Now you know a little more about me, right?"

A small smile finally appeared on Yamato's face, as if she could now see Ryōsuke's true self.

Her heart settled down, but it still wasn't enough.

"Can I go see your homeland in the future?"

Perhaps visiting his homeland would allow her to understand Ryōsuke even better.

"Of course."

"However, having just arrived in this world, I don't plan on going back so soon. When I do return, I'll take you with me."

"But if you want to understand me better, let's bare it all to each other. There's no better way to get to know one another than that."

Yamato's face flushed red upon hearing this. "You're so bad. Then let's get to know each other better."

The rest of the night passed without words.

On the other side, X Drake was also having a sleepless night.

He dialed the Den Den Mushi to contact the Marines.

Before long, a voice came from the Den Den Mushi.

"Drake-senpai, is there important intel this late at night?"

Drake wouldn't call unless there was important intelligence.

Drake sighed and said, "Koby, from today onward, I am completely leaving the Marines."

Koby's face filled with shock. "Why? Are you really going to fall and become a pirate? Have you forgotten the people brutally murdered by pirates?"

His words grew increasingly agitated.

He truly didn't want Drake-senpai to genuinely fall into darkness like this.

Drake said in a deep voice, "I am not falling to become a pirate. I am officially joining the faction of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets."

"By the way, I am about to tell you some news that will shock the world."

"The mysterious powerhouse Uchiha Ryōsuke has defeated the Four Emperors' Kaido and become the new Governor-General."

"The Beast Pirates have officially opened their borders and will no longer call themselves pirates. They have established the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets."

"Tomorrow, they will officially attack Wano Country and incorporate it into the territory of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets."

"Telling you this doesn't count as leaking the Empire's secrets."

"This kind of news will be known by the world sooner or later anyway."

After saying this, he hung up the phone.

From now on, he was no longer a Marine.

He would absolutely never leak any more information.

Because he was now in the Empire's faction, not a pirate faction.

He still had this much of a bottom line.

He would follow Lord Uchiha Ryōsuke.

To overthrow the rule of the World Government and the Celestial Dragons.

It had to be said, they were the true greatest evil in this world.

Since this lord no longer considered himself a pirate, then at the very least, there shouldn't be any pirates existing within the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets.

This did not violate the justice in his heart.

Hearing this, Koby's face paled in shock, and he hurriedly asked, "Drake-senpai, can you be more specific?"

But he could only hear the *du-du-du* sound of the Den Den Mushi; the other party had clearly hung up.

He thought about calling back, but no one answered for a long time.

It seemed Drake-senpai had truly made up his mind.

His mind was in complete chaos right now.

Uchiha Ryōsuke had replaced Kaido's position as the Governor-General of the Beasts.

And he had even reformed the Beast Pirates into the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets, establishing a nation on Onigashima.

Tomorrow, they were going to conquer Wano Country.

He let out a deep sigh. Just what in the world was going on?

Every single piece of information shocked him, and would soon shock the entire world.

One of the Four Emperors, Kaido, had actually been defeated by the mysterious Uchiha Ryōsuke. This was utterly terrifying.

To actually step on Kaido to rise to power... One must know that Kaido was already one of the rulers of the pirates in this world, a god-like figure.

He had to report Drake's final words to Fleet Admiral Sengoku as soon as possible.

Because the events here were too terrifying, even more terrifying than the Paramount War or Luffy wreaking havoc on Whole Cake Island.
