Chapter 450 - MTT Chapter 450: Luffy: I Will Definitely Defeat Him

Not far from Nami, Chopper observed her expression, a bad premonition rising in his heart.

"Nami, what's wrong? Is there a report about us?"

His bounty had also skyrocketed, doubling from a mere 100 Berries to 200 Berries.

Sanji, Luffy, and Brook also walked over, wanting to see exactly what had happened.

Nami spoke in astonishment.

"Kaido might have already been reduced to someone else's subordinate, and that person is the Emperor of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets."

Luffy was dumbfounded.

"That's impossible, right? He's one of the Four Emperors, the opponent I have to overcome. How could he become someone else's subordinate?"

He was going to become the Pirate King and fulfill his promise to Shanks.

Sanji also refused to believe it.

"Nami-san, you aren't joking around, are you?"

Hearing Sanji's words, Nami replied in displeasure.

"Why would I joke about something like this? It's written right here in the newspaper."

"Kaido is calling himself a general of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets, and the Emperor of this empire is going to marry Rebecca."

Sanji was instantly filled with shock and fury.

"What? To actually force a political marriage on a beautiful and lovely girl like Rebecca! That bastard! Where did this Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets even come from?"

In his heart, he was incredibly envious. He had seen Rebecca before, of course; she was a beautiful woman who didn't lose out to Nami or Robin in the slightest.

A young girl with long pink hair, an excellent figure, and delicate facial features.

It was impossible not to be envious. The more he thought about it, the more jealous he became.

But then he realized that the relationship between this so-called Emperor and Rebecca was definitely not a normal, consensual one.

He said angrily,

"Rebecca must have been forced! We have to go and stop the atrocities of this Emperor of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets."

Nami chimed in to support him.

"That's actually true. Kaido injured Kyros and has already taken Rebecca away."

Sanji's heart burned with anger. Just as he suspected, they had used forceful methods. He absolutely had to go save her.

Brook also agreed.

"Yes, we cannot let an innocent young lady fall into the hands of an evil emperor."

If he could rescue such a girl, perhaps she would show him her panties.

Meanwhile, Luffy spoke with a fired-up expression.

"Rebecca is my friend! I will definitely rescue her and defeat that hateful Kaido, as well as that so-called Emperor!"

Chopper, however, spoke with a worried look on his face.

"Don't you guys think that Emperor is a terrifyingly dangerous person? After all, he was able to make Kaido his subordinate."

"You have to remember, Kaido is the strongest creature on land, sea, and air!"

Sanji also came to a realization.

"That's true. We've never even heard of this Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets before. I wonder who they really are?"

"Brook, do you know anything?"

Brook had lived the longest, so it was assumed he might have heard something about it.

Brook thought for a moment, but he had absolutely no memory of it.

"I have never heard of such a country."

Nami was equally confused. To prepare for their entry into the New World, she had consulted a vast amount of reference materials and naturally learned about the countries in the New World.

But none of those materials had ever mentioned such an empire.

Her memory wouldn't fail her.

Because a name as striking as the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets was impossible to misremember.

And, of course, the same went for that Emperor.

Luffy spoke nonchalantly.

"No matter what kind of strong enemy he is, I will definitely defeat him."

A smile reached Chopper's eyes.

"That's right! Luffy is just so reliable."

Sanji also said with a smile,

"Luffy, I can't let you have all the glory this time. After all, this involves a young maiden, so I must be the one to step up."

Brook admired Sanji immensely; he truly was quite an elegant man.

"Count me in as well."

Nami had absolute faith in her crewmates, but this time, she felt an inexplicable sense of unease.

*'What in the world is going on?'*

Meanwhile, aboard the Big Mom Pirates' ship, Big Mom's eldest son, Perospero, had also seen the contents of the newspaper and hurriedly reported the news to his mother.

"Mama, this is a disaster! Kaido has submitted to the Emperor of the Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets, and that Emperor is even arranging a political marriage with the Dressrosa Kingdom!"

Big Mom was surprised and bewildered. She snatched the newspaper and began to read it.

Instantly, a look of disdain crossed her face.

"What the hell is that guy Kaido playing at? To actually become someone else's subordinate?"

"This is the biggest joke in the world! As if that brat Kaido would ever submit to anyone else. He wasn't even willing to follow me!"

She refused to believe that Kaido would bow to another. After the battle at God Valley back then, they had gone their separate ways.

Perospero thought the same way.

"Mama, is it possible that Morgans just made this all up to grab people's attention?"

Previously, when the Straw Hat crew wreaked havoc on Whole Cake Island, Morgans had written it off as a massive victory for the Straw Hats and a crushing defeat for the Big Mom Pirates.

But how could that be true?

The Straw Hat Pirates had been chased around like rats by them, and it was only due to a moment of carelessness that they managed to escape in the end.

It was all because of that traitor Jinbe; otherwise, the Straw Hat Pirates would have definitely been finished.

Hearing her eldest son's words, Big Mom laughed.

"You're right. That damn Morgans is always churning out fake news."

"How much longer until we reach Wano Country?"

Perospero estimated,

"I'd say about another week."

"Good. Once I get to Wano, I'll find Kaido and ask him myself."

...

Elsewhere, Nekomamushi, Marco, and Izo were also rushing toward Wano Country by ship.

Naturally, they were coming to support the Straw Hat crew.

After all, Kozuki Oden was once the Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, and he had been murdered by the conspiracy of Kaido and Kurozumi Orochi.

They hadn't taken revenge back then because they only received the news years after Oden's death.

Furthermore, if the Whitebeard Pirates clashed with the Beast Pirates over a man that even Oden couldn't defeat, it would undoubtedly result in countless casualties.

Therefore, they hadn't launched a retaliatory strike.

Marco caught a newspaper dropped by a News Coo that suddenly flew over.

After tossing some Berries to the News Coo, he checked the news.

He was instantly astonished.

"This is truly surprising news... The Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets."
