Instead, it came from Sayuri, who was so close she was practically pressed against him.
Hearing that, Luo Shu—who had been momentarily stunned by the demonic whisper—turned his head in surprise, catching only a glimpse of her raven-black hair and slender neck.
He chuckled.
"Somehow, I feel like you're more nervous than I am?"
At those words, Sayuri seemed to exhale in relief, her earlier boldness dissipating.
"How pathetic..."
"Even though I knew I couldn't go through with it..."
Luo Shu grinned. "You're so good at teasing people normally, but when it comes down to it, you can't actually do it, huh?"
Sayuri released him, turning away to return to the sofa, her tone exasperated.
"If you and Eriri weren't acquainted, I might've gone through with it."
Her words carried a mix of frustration and petulance.
In response, Luo Shu raised his right hand calmly. The Mist Ring flashed, and a brown, parchment-like contract materialised in his grasp.
Holding it up, he shrugged.
"My relationship with Eriri is probably more complicated than you think."
"If you tried to call it romantic, I'd honestly laugh."
Sayuri shot him a sidelong glance before muttering sarcastically:
"Willing to abandon even Eriri just to have me?"
"Luo Shu, you really are a terrible boy."
"Don't exaggerate like that..."
Luo Shu sighed at her reaction.
'Why won't you believe me when I'm telling the truth?'
He casually tossed the contract in his hand onto the glass table before him, sliding it towards Sayuri Sawamura, then explained:
"The full truth is contained within this contract. If you wish to know, you can simply sign it."
Sayuri Sawamura glanced down at the contract, then lifted her head to eye Luo Shu before remarking:
"This so-called contract... it was prepared in advance, wasn't it?"
"Correct." Luo Shu nodded frankly. "In fact, I anticipated you would inevitably plan to take action against Enigma."

Sayuri's smile was sweeter than Eriri's silliest grin, yet her words carried icy venom:
"Robert... no, I should say Emma."

Sayuri spoke cheerfully, her eyes gradually narrowing as she looked at Luo Shu:
"Since my husband is dead, it's only natural for my former fiancée Emma to come pay her respects, isn't it?"
