Chapter 1170 - 1170 That Was Just the Basics...

After the grey-skinned dragonman replicating Luo Shu's appearance raised its head, it flicked its finger lightly against the blade of the Sword of Saint George.

Thump!

A large dent immediately caved into the Sword of Saint George's blade!

Propelled by the force, Vasily's right arm was flung wide open, leaving his chest completely exposed and undefended.

"Not good!"

Realising his centre was wide open, Vasily immediately sensed the danger and frantically threw his left arm up in front of himself as a barrier.

At that very moment, the grey-skinned 'Luo Shu', three metres away, expressionlessly threw a punch toward Vasily.

It was a straight punch!

A straight punch swung from nearly three metres away!

"Missed?"

Faced with the opponent's straightforward punch, Vasily, who had expected to be attacked, was momentarily stunned.

But the next second.

Black-red lightning abruptly erupted!

Sparks of lightning crackled and exploded within a five-metre radius.

Along with it, Vasily's sturdy chest burst open!

Above the dome.

A golden light emanating from the ceiling pierced through Vasily's abdomen, casting a beam onto the face of the duplicate Luo Shu.

Thump.

Vasily collapsed to the ground, a gaping hole in his abdomen. After twitching a few times, he fell silent.

Witnessing this scene, Evangeline's eyes widened, her mouth slightly agape as she said:

"You've got to be kidding... right?"

"Wasn't that man from the Russian Union a Demigod?"

"Didn't he wield the holy sword used by a Saint of the Church to slay dragons?"

"How could he..."

How could he not even withstand a single punch...

Instantly, cold sweat trickled down Evangeline's forehead. She couldn't help but glance at Lorena beside her and pressed urgently:

"Are you sure that Vasily was a Demigod?"

Hearing this, Lorena was also drenched in cold sweat, her back soaked through:

"The Apostle reported by the Union must be a Demigod Rank powerhouse!"

"Perhaps... perhaps Lord Vasily was a bit careless..."

Before Lorena could finish her sentence about carelessness, a deafening roar erupted.

Lorena quickly turned her gaze towards the hall and immediately saw Lord Impaler Vera lying motionless in a large crater, his condition unknown.

At that moment, the grey-skinned, black-haired youth expressionlessly approached Vera, slowly raised his left foot, and gently pressed it against the side of Vera's head.

"Urgh..."

That was all the last words left by Lord Impaler, one of the Thirteen Apostles.

The next second, splat.

Lorena watched the splattering blood and the milky-white substance that resembled brain matter, tears nearly welling up in her eyes:

"The Union's evaluation can't be wrong!!"

Hearing Lorena's distraught voice, Yuiyui Gokadoin, her face slightly pale, wore an expression that suggested she had expected this all along, exclaiming in fear:

"I knew it would come to this!!"

"Lord Hao clearly said just last month that there were only two youngsters among the Five Great Powers who were Demigods. How could there suddenly be thirteen Demigods a month later, forming some Thirteen Apostles?"

"And moreover, when it comes down to it, isn't Apostle a title reserved for those beyond the Demigod level?"

"What did you say?"

Evangeline was dumbfounded upon hearing Yuiyui Gokadoin's words:

"The Union's Demigod evaluation is fake?"

"Haven't you realised it yet?"

Yuiyui Gokadoin couldn't help but retort:

"Did you see that black-red lightning just now?"

"That's a basic skill of Demigods—an attack launched by wrapping the power of a concept around themselves."

"For Demigods, such a move is equivalent to a casual greeting."

"But for those below the Demigod Rank, it's basically a death sentence!!"

"How can such a thing exist?" Evangeline was stunned, her face full of disbelief: "That old man from MI6 never told me Demigods had such a skill?"

Just as Evangeline was reeling in shock, the observing Lorena suddenly spoke in a 'calm' voice:

"He seems to... be looking over here..."

Hearing this, Evangeline immediately turned her head and looked towards the depths of the hall.

Instantly, she met those heterochromatic eyes, one gold and one red, gleaming with an enchanting lustre.

In that moment.

A chill rose from the base of her spine, shooting straight into her mind!!

"He's actually looking over here!!"

Evangeline suddenly realised something and sharply turned her gaze towards the opened circular portal:

"Not good!!"

No sooner had the words left her mouth than Evangeline felt her vision blur, and the duplicate Luo Shu appeared by her side.

Evangeline strained to shift her gaze, even employing a technique to accelerate her thoughts, barely managing to catch a glimpse of a black afterimage.

As the afterimage vanished, Evangeline stared wide-eyed at Lorena, whose entire head had been driven into her chest cavity.

Yet the next second.

A black-red lightning exploded.

Yuiyui Gokadoin, who was two metres away from the duplicate, was blasted into the air, her body exploding mid-flight, limbs scattering in all directions.

Catching sight of Yuiyui Gokadoin's gruesome state from the corner of her eye, Evangeline instantly understood. Without hesitation or regard for her own safety, she unleashed all her magical power:

"Trying to kill me?!"

"It won't be that easy!!!!"

Pure white ice crystals abruptly coalesced around Evangeline.

The bitter cold of the Arctic descended upon this small area in an instant.

"Sleep forever in the ice with me!!"

Amidst her furious roar, there was a soft 'pop'.

Evangeline lowered her gaze and saw the arm that had pierced through her heart. Then, she looked up in astonishment at the expressionless, ashen face before her. Blood uncontrollably trickled from the corner of her mouth, freezing instantly into ruby-like ice crystals the moment it flowed.

"How did it not block... this is extreme ice harder than diamond..."

As she spoke, Evangeline's chest burst open. At that moment, the duplicate Luo Shu silently retracted his right hand.

At the tips of his right hand's fingers, tiny black-red lightning crackled and sparked.

After withdrawing his arm, the duplicate flicked his wrist, shaking off the red ice crystals clinging to it. Then, he turned and walked step by step back into the hall.

Creak————!

With a groaning sound, the circular portal slowly closed.

Inside the stone cavern, everything seemed to fall into stillness.

As if waiting for the next batch of visitors to arrive.
