"Yay! Someone's here to play with Klee now."
For Klee, having someone to play with was the greatest reward.
But for those who knew Klee well, someone always had to keep an eye on her to prevent her from doing anything out of line.
After enjoying a meal personally cooked by Albedo at the mountain camp, Klee eagerly dragged Yuto and Sister Shenhe down the mountain, completely forgetting about her Albedo brother, which made Albedo smile wryly.
On the way down, Klee held Yuto's hand with one hand and Sister Shenhe's with the other, humming a somewhat nonsensical children's song. From a distance, they looked like a warm family of three.
However, upon closer inspection, this 'family of three' had an indescribable sense of incongruity; no one would actually think they were a family.
A 'dad' dressed in Inazuman style, a 'mom' in Liyue style, and a 'daughter' in Mondstadt style? Such a combination would only make passersby wonder: Are these two child traffickers?
The kind-hearted people of Mondstadt might even stop them, interrogate them thoroughly, and perhaps even report them directly to the Knights of Favonius.
The reason this place is called Dragonspine is because a giant dragon's corpse is truly buried here.
Dragon Durin was a powerful giant dragon created by the alchemist of Khaenri'ah, Rhinedottir, renowned as Gold. Its strength was comparable to Stormterror Dvalin.
When the cataclysm of five hundred years ago erupted, Dragon Durin came to Mondstadt, bringing immense disaster. Lord Barbatos, the Anemo Archon, and Stormterror Dvalin, summoned by his lyre, engaged in a great battle with Dragon Durin.
After a fierce battle, Dragon Durin was bitten in the throat by Stormterror Dvalin and perished on the spot. Its corpse fell from high in the sky into the snowy mountains, to the place now known as Wyrmrest Valley.
However, Dvalin's condition was also not optimistic after this battle. Having swallowed Dragon Durin's poisonous blood, which carried its obsessions, Dvalin curled up in Stormterror's Lair and slept for centuries.
As a result, when Dvalin awoke from centuries of slumber, with the whispers of the Abyss in his ears and the excruciating pain of corrosion in his body, Mondstadt had long forgotten the hero who protected them, forgotten himself, one of the Four Winds.
Thus, Dvalin, filled with curses and resentment, embarked on a path of revenge against Mondstadt, which became the initial story of the allogene.
Thinking of this, Yuto suddenly stopped, secretly pondering: Dragon Durin doesn't seem to have truly died; its heart is still beating to this day.
However, Dragon Durin was a forbidden creation of Gold Rhinedottir; its power inherently carried negative forces like curses, fear, despair, and violence. If its corpse hadn't conveniently fallen into the snowy mountains where the Skyfrost Nail was located, its body might have poisoned the land of Mondstadt like the remnants of a deceased God.
This means that Durin's heart should not be taken back to Inazuma; without the power of the Skyfrost Nail suppressing it, Durin's power would be a disaster.
Since that's the case, why not take some of Durin's remains back? Although it's a man-made giant dragon, it's still genuine dragon bone, a rare material for forging and alchemy.
Emmm... Since I've made the trip to Dragonspine, I should at least bring some valuable items back to Inazuma, right?
Thinking of this, Yuto turned his head and glanced in the direction of Wyrmrest Valley. Uh... it was exactly opposite to Klee's path down the mountain. Yuto thought for a moment and said to Sister Shenhe and Klee: "Sister Shenhe, please take Klee to the camp at the foot of the mountain first. I just remembered I have something to take care of."
Klee asked confusedly: "Huh? Is Brother Yuto going to take care of something? Is he not going to play with Klee?"
Seeing Klee about to cry, Yuto quickly crouched down and comforted her: "No, Klee, Brother Yuto will never go back on his promise to you. Sister Shenhe will take you down the mountain first, and I will be right back. I absolutely won't make Klee wait too long."
Klee: "Really? Okay, then Brother Yuto has to pinky promise Klee, no lying allowed."
Seeing Klee extend her little finger, Yuto also smiled and extended his own little finger, hooking it with hers. Klee, seeing Brother Yuto make a promise to her, also burst into a smile through her tears.
Yuto specifically glanced at Sister Shenhe, who returned his gaze. At this moment, the two of them no longer needed to communicate; a single look was enough to understand each other's intentions.
And so, Sister Shenhe took Klee's small hand, and with Klee looking back every few steps, they descended the mountain. After seeing them off, Yuto instantly activated Kamui Dimension and vanished from the spot.
Wyrmrest Valley, located directly north of Dragonspine, where Dragon Durin's flesh and blood had long since vanished over time, leaving only a massive dragon skeleton. Although it had endured centuries of wind, rain, and erosion, Dragon Durin's ribs remained extraordinarily hard, as if they had merged with the snowy mountain.
Over hundreds of years, Hilichurl, Abyss Mage, Treasure Hoarders, and even Fatui from all over Teyvat had coveted the remnants of Dragon Durin. Even now, many still believe that the Dragon's secret treasures are buried in the mountains of Dragonspine.
This rumor still attracts many Adventurers, Treasure Hoarders, and Fatui to the snowy mountains in search of treasure, but the harsh environment of the snowy mountains has deterred countless people and caused countless others to perish there with regret.
Yuto looked at the remnants of Dragon Durin's ribs still at the foot of the mountain, sighing with emotion. Then, a several-meter-long lightning spear appeared in Yuto's hand, striking directly at the distant ribs.
[Lightning Style: Chidori Sharp Spear]
Ding! Dang!
To Yuto's surprise, the lightning spear, which should have been irresistibly sharp, failed to cut through Durin's bones. Although it was just bone, it made a metallic sound.
Even after hundreds of years since its demise, it still possessed such hardness? Truly worthy of being an entity that could fight one-on-two, simultaneously battling Barbatos and Dvalin. This strength could be said to be infinitely close to a God.
If one move didn't work, he would try another. Yuto's eyes were fixed on a particular rib, and the next moment, the space around that rib began to distort.
Click!
The rib was cut cleanly, with a smooth cross-section. After the several-ton Dragon Durin rib was cut off, it was immediately packaged and placed into the Kamui Dimension before it even had a chance to fall to the ground, leaving no trace whatsoever.
Indeed, in the face of Kamui Dimension's spatial power, no matter how hard an object, it cannot withstand spatial-level cutting.
Alright! Mission accomplished, time to pack up.
Just as Yuto was about to turn and leave, an inadvertent glance caught a sight that instantly captivated him.
