The elevator Laila led him into was not the one he had used before. That one was at the center, and clearly visible from the lobby, and went straight to the boardroom and the head offices. This one was at the side of the building, tucked into a side of the corridor.
When they stepped off, Levi saw the full expanse of TMG spread out below and around him. It was massive. But it was just floor after floor of the same thing. The corridors up here all looked identical — with the same door, width, and flat color, just completely unremarkable.
He stood outside the room Laila pointed him to and looked at the door for a moment before going in.
Levi pushed the plain gray door open and blinked. The suite inside was not that door. Stepping inside was like crossing into another dimension.
