Ye Qing Xin and Su Ming Yuan had just left when Ning Wei saw her mother walking over with a plate of appetizers.
"Wei Wei, have something to eat," Qing Ke said. "You have been standing and talking to people for the whole day. I'm sure you haven't eaten anything since you arrived."
Ning Wei swallowed as she saw the spring rolls on the plate.
"Miss Qing, thank you," Ning Wei said. Her stomach rumbled softly. "What about you? Have you eaten yet?"
"Don't worry about me," Qing Ke said. "I accompanied Shuang'er and the boys earlier." She gestured towards the food on the plate. "Eat quickly. I tried them earlier. They're quite delicious."
Ning Wei took a bite from the spring roll and sighed.
The skin was still crispy, and the vegetable filling inside was still moist and nicely seasoned.
"Those people earlier…" Qing Ke looked in the direction where Ye Qing Xin and Su Ming Yuan had left.
