Chapter 276: Elton versus Demonic Beast Horde

In a certain forbidden zone, Elton stood with a slightly tired expression. He faintly reminisced about the amount of time he had spent in this place training to utilize the Chaos Convergence skill through the forceful methods of his master.
With a sigh, Elton smiled bitterly. "Master, even scratching the surface of that ability is far too difficult. Still, even this much is amazing."
"Well of course it is, boy Elton. If you're ever able to reach a certain stage, well… I just hope that you do." Master Bluesonics smiled with a calm expression.
"It's unfortunate that things had to be cut short though. I'm certain that so much has happened in Brawlmanica and I have to be there to help all of my friends. Thank you again for your guidance, Master." Elton said with a grateful bow.
"Hahaha, yes yes, boy Elton. The rest is up to you now, so get going." Master Bluesonics laughed as he dismissively waved his hand. Then, with a snap of his fingers, the world faintly shifted as everything around them warped.
Elton paled in shock as he didn't quite understand what was happening. He didn't see any magic circles, symbols, or artifacts anywhere. Before he knew it, in the blink of an eye, Elton found himself in a forest-like area swarming with all sorts of demonic beasts.
"You've got to be kidding me… What even was that?! A far greater level of Chaos Convergence that allowed teleportation? Why the hell did he send me to such a dangerous area though?!" Elton complained internally as the murderous gazes of the surrounding demonic beasts locked onto him.
Bloodthirsty auras were directed at him without hesitation as the beasts prepared to attack.
"You all should probably refrain from foolishly attacking me, you know. Hmm… Eh? My ki feels a bit different now? Well, whatever. I'll worry about that later. Eat this, you beasts!"
–White Lightning Spear Barrage–
A barrage of sharp, awl-shaped ki blasts crashed into a multitude of demonic beasts in front of him, instantly causing a wave of destruction. Other demonic beasts attempted to attack from his sides and rear with energy blasts and physical assaults, but Elton simply leapt back and unleashed additional waves of White Lightning Spear attacks.
–White Lightning Ignition–
After stepping back three feet from his original position to dodge a beam of light, Elton pointed his hand in a certain direction and generated a large ball of blue and white lightning-covered ki. He released it, sending it flying as it smashed into multiple demonic beasts before erupting in a massive explosion that wiped out many of them.
With a calm expression, Elton moved rapidly through the ranks of the demonic beasts, glowing with a brilliant light as he used nothing but his hands to smash and slash every demonic beast in his path. They were barely able to react as he committed a massacre.
"Stay your hand, you bastard!" A guttural voice roared, emitting a mighty pressure.
A sharp, smoky red light pierced straight toward Elton at incredible speed.
–Star Lightning Steps–
Elton's figure erupted into white lightning as a thunderous sound echoed. The piercing light stabbed through where his chest had been moments earlier before slamming into the ground, collapsing the area and forming a massive smoky red crater.
The Elton that had been struck dissolved into dispersing electrical sparks as the real Elton appeared far off in the distance, his gaze calm and unshaken.
–White Lightning Ignition Shot–
He began channeling energy into both of his hands, thrusting them out four times as four large blue and white balls of lightning energy shot out in different directions with overwhelming intensity. Many demonic beasts attempted to dodge or defend themselves only to be swallowed, incinerated, or blasted away until each sphere detonated in a powerful explosion.
Furious cries and roars of agony echoed throughout the area. Even then, Elton did not stop, and neither did the surrounding hordes of demonic beasts as they continued pressing him from all sides. He began utilizing Elven Nature Magics as his spirit chanted at a rate of one hundred times its normal speed. With a stomp on the ground, a large magical circle appeared beneath him as five gold and crimson tree branches ripped free from the earth and floated into the air.
Moments later, they ignited in blazing white flames and lightning before transforming into five sharp wooden swords that closely resembled his Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer.
"…My ki has certainly changed a bit." Elton muttered with slightly furrowed brows as he scanned his sea of consciousness once more. "Could it be because of my Liberation meridian along with the changes from attempting to learn the Chaos Method? Then I wonder if… I can use certain skills I learned from the sect's Legacy Treasure Orb. I'll have to try later."
Elton moved like a spark of lightning as a barrage of projectile attacks flew toward him. His five burning swords hovered close, following his every movement. Each sword independently defended and counterattacked, intercepting strikes with precise, fluid motions.
The hordes of demonic beasts fought fiercely, but no matter how they struggled, Elton's overall power was simply far beyond theirs on a fundamental level. A slaughter was inevitable.
Two of the swords surged forward, cutting through numerous projectiles with ease. Elton stepped through the opening they created and met a massive flaming claw head-on, grabbing a third sword and slashing downward. A compact explosive shockwave erupted from the collision, followed by a pained roar as the beast's entire arm was severed, streams of white lightning devouring it completely.
Leaping into the sky, Elton landed atop one of his swords before pushing off again, charging toward a flying demonic beast. It was caught completely off guard as Elton appeared above it in an instant. A sharp, shocking sensation pierced its body as one of the swords drove straight through its neck, boiling its insides in a violent surge of lightning.
–White Lightning Ignition Shot–
Waves of white lightning wrapped in smoggy white flames burst from Elton's body, elevating his aura to a frightening degree. With ten rapid palm thrusts, he released ten massive lightning-covered energy blasts that shot off in multiple directions.
"He's a Mortal Lord after all!! Damnit all! No more playing around!" A guttural voice roared with authority as a command was issued.
The ten energy spheres detonated violently, crushing numerous demonic beasts on the ground and several in the skies. The beast beneath Elton's feet erupted in agonizing white flames laced with electricity as it plummeted toward the earth.
With a powerful leap, Elton surged forward, five swords trailing behind him like streaks of white lightning as he targeted a specific point below, a calm smile resting on his face.
With a thunderous roar, a demonic beast resembling a massive scaled mouse charged forward, its aura at the Early Stage Mortal Shedding Realm. Green sparks of electricity danced across its body as it lunged toward Elton like a living spear.
Booooooooom!!
The collision sent a violent shockwave rippling through the air.
As the blinding light faded, the giant mouse demonic beast was flung backward, screeching in agony. Five deep, bloody gashes carved across its body as it crashed toward the ground. Elton was pushed back as well, gliding through the air before allowing his fall with controlled momentum.
Moments later, another roar echoed as a demonic beast with an Early Stage Mortal Lord aura appeared. It resembled a massive fly with a human face set between its compound eyes. Those eyes glowed crimson as it unleashed over fifty sharp, smoggy red beams of light toward Elton.
Elton's gaze sharpened as he commanded his five wooden swords to intercept while his hands moved in rapid succession, glowing with razor-sharp energy.
–White Lightning Spear Barrage–
A continuous rain of explosions erupted throughout the skies as attacks smashed into and rebounded off one another. While free-falling, Elton once again rapidly chanted magic through his spirit and pointed a finger toward the fly demonic beast.
–…White Lightning Bolt–
A bolt of white lightning shot from Elton's index finger, tearing through the dust and piercing straight into the shocked fly demonic beast. It shrieked in pain as it was blasted away, hastily repositioning itself in the skies.
Below, the mouse demonic beast gathered itself as its power swelled. Bolts of green electrical currents wrapped around its body, violently tearing apart the surrounding terrain. From another direction, a far more powerful aura erupted as a tall, red-skinned, scaled demon phased into the battlefield. He gave off the unmistakable presence of a demonic beast, his Middle Stage Mortal Shedding Realm pressure crashing down upon everyone present, with Elton as its primary target.
Elton landed on the ground, his expression turning serious as he fixed his gaze on the demon.
"So you've finally revealed yourself. A demon? A demonic beast? Or perhaps both, by the looks of it." Elton spoke calmly while rolling his shoulders, quietly loosening the restrictions of his enchanted weights.
"Hmph! I am indeed a half-demon, blessed with a special constitution because of it." The demon replied with a stone-faced sneer. "You will die here after foolishly trespassing upon our conquered domain, all alone no less."
He raised his hand sharply.
"All of you, there is no holding back. Slaughter this cretin."
Mighty roars and vicious cheers erupted as the demonic beasts' auras exploded toward their peak.
"Then I'll hold back far less." Elton replied coolly. "You think I'm an Early Stage Mortal Lord because my aura was suppressed. I'm sorry to disappoint you."
In that instant, Elton's previously restrained presence erupted. His aura surged from Early Stage Mortal Lord and climbed further, rivaling the half-demon directly while partially suffocating the surrounding demonic beasts.
"I too am a Middle Stage Mortal Lord." Elton continued calmly. "But don't worry. I'll still hold back. I don't have much time to play with trash."
The half-demon's expression stiffened before turning grim. His muscles expanded slightly as a reddish metallic sheen spread across his body, power radiating outward.
Elton reached behind him and grasped the Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer. At the same time, he chanted magic through his spirit at a one-hundred-fold rate. He spat out a special tree seed concealed within his body, which burrowed instantly into the ground beneath his feet.
A magic symbol flared to life, glowing green and gold as crimson smog swirled around it. The earth trembled violently as fourteen massive green, gold, and crimson tree roots burst from the ground, spearing toward the sky before ripping free in explosions of white flame wrapped in crackling lightning.
The fourteen roots rapidly condensed, transforming into fourteen blazing swords identical in shape to the Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer.
With a smirk, Elton stepped onto one sword as it lowered itself, floating horizontally beneath his feet.
The half-demon glared tensely as he felt the combined pressure of the fourteen tree-forged swords and the true Blue Heavenly Star Destroyer itself.
"Well?" Elton said with a sharp grin. "What are you waiting for, demon? Let's dance."
In that moment, the demonic beasts unleashed their full barrage of destructive attacks.
At the same time, Elton surged forward.
Thus began a secret grand battle, one that would remain unknown until a later time period.
