This time she saw something. It was her memory and past. She fell down from a valley cliff and she got severely wounded.
Blood flowed like a river, reaching a bone structure and awakening an unknown beast. A terrifying beast who could tear the skies.Siara went even further, and memories of the victory party over the neighboring kingdom flashed before her. She ignored the memory and went further. Although this time she couldn't run as she usually did out of mental frustration, she walked with full confidence.
After confirming that going in that direction would force her to encounter her past, she turned back towards that direction leading to her past.
However, she was no longer looking down at the floor.
Maybe she was running from her past and couldn't dare to re-watch those cruel moments.
Maybe she just wanted to flee from all her tension but got stuck with these past problems again.
She couldn't even think about anything at that time.
Siara was walking as if she were unconscious. She was sad but also eager to leave that place.
So she did the only thing she could do—to run away.
But she was not running this time; she was merely walking faster with a blank mind.
Reflections of many past events in Siara's life drifted by.
But she ignored and didn't even look at those moments.
Call it the mechanism of river or anything but those reflections appeared whenever Siara stood over a specific position on that starry and beautiful floor.
However, as soon as Siara showed that she had no interest in looking at those reflections, they vanished within moments.
But Siara could not be fully blamed in this situation either.
Not only had she been chased by thugs and forced to run for her life and dignity through the forest, but she had ended up losing her life in her original world.
When she arrived in this unknown world, she was overjoyed and thrilled to start a new life.
Yet,she had to face similar consequences.
Being entrapped in a place she never wished.
Even more convincing factor for the blame to not go all upon Siara was her memories itself.
What she saw in her memories?
Were they of a prince she dreamed of being with? Of a royal princess?
Or of someone leading a peaceful, stable life?"
What her memories actually held was tremendous pain; she was broken. She was mentally shattered, emotionally unstable, and physically complex.
Apart from mental and emotional condition her physical condition was the result of her own doing.
[Memory-1]
A whole kingdom surrounded by water on all eight sides. The kingdom was very large and from seeing one could say that the atmosphere of the kingdom was a mixture of mediaeval and extra modern era. The kingdom had ancient palaces but also high-tech towers.
Four towers at four corners of the kingdom.
Each tower was soaring high with a circular and smooth ring levitating around the spire. The fact was that the ring was truly levitating without making any physical contact with the tower.
The towers were constructed from a shiny, steel-like substance and charged with an energy that glowed vivid blue, creating a stark contrast of blue, white, gray, and black.
At the top of each spire sat massive orbs responsible for transmitting data.
At the center of the kingdom stood a magnificent palace with ruined outer walls covered in vines. The palace looked as though it belonged to a medieval king. Around the 500 metre radius of the palace there was nothing but grass, bushes, shrubs, small trees, medium size trees and rarely any large tree.
However, the kingdom did have a small forested area to the southwest. Modest modern houses and futuristic apartment complexes lined the surrounding neighborhoods.
But there was not only central palace that was of mediaeval era. There were residental areas of noble lords too.
Nobles related to the king lived in the aristocratic district north of the palace, two kilometers beyond the surrounding green belt.
Apart from these, near the edge of the southwest forest, stood a beautiful castle. The castle had blue banners and was built of fine marbles.
The castle was as picturesque as anything a young girl dreaming of a fairytale prince could imagine.
But in that joyful looking castle at a locked room was a gloomy ten years old girl.
She was constantly trying to execute ballet movements. A beautiful and matured woman with fine looks was instructing her.
She repeatedly executed the move incorrectly, and her patience was wearing thin; the moment the girl stumbled again, her instructor—holding a cane with golden spheres at both ends—struck her.
Thwak
Again!
Thwak
Again!
This continued until she finally executed the movement correctly. But even at the last step she made a mistake.
The fine and fair faced lady nodded her head in disappointment and said, "Again!"
[Memory-2]
A beautiful young girl who was barely eleven years old.
She was reading a history book that states the history of development of technology in her world.
While she was reading peacefully, an elegant, fair-faced lady in a patterned green gown adorned with gold ornaments entered the room.
She snatched the book from the girl's hands and put it on one of the shelves infront of the little girl. The room where the young girl sat was actually a private library.
The lady put the book on the shelf and confronted little Siara.
Slap!
"You misbehaved again in front of Lord Ken's son?"
Siara burst into tears on the spot. 'He touched my skirt, Mother!' she whimpered.
Her mother angrily replied,"So you will beat him for that?"
Slap!
With another slap on face Siara said while crying,"He..h....he even tried to drag it."
[Memory-3]
When the family of Siara's father's friend was imprisoned in an enemy castle due to a scandal, her father committed an act no true father ever would. The enemy kingdom wanted Siara's kingdom to fulfill some demand. That's why they hosted a banquet inviting an important figure from the kingdom.
After the dinner, the intention of spokesperson of the enemy kingdom became clear. Siara's father's friend agreed to negotiate the terms of their demand with the king. But the fact remained same,
Why would they believe him? After all they were enemies. So Siara's father's friend made a descision. He retrieved all his own family members, including Siara's younger brother, Rhon, but left Siara behind at the castle.
He even insisted that the spokesperson use Siara as leverage and to trust him that he would negotiate the terms of their demand and send a reply to them soon.
Later when Siara's father came to know about the trade,he praised his friend for making a good descision.
Later on Siara's father went to the enemy castle along with his army. A long discussion was held, but no agreement was reached. So Siara's father went back to kingdom without taking Siara and without even seeing his own daughter for once.
Siara was not unaware of the situation. Although she was held captive yet she was treated like a princess there. It was their basic courtesy. She was provided good food at time, servants to be looked after and was asked if anything was bothering her.
Negotiations after negotiations held, most of the time Siara's father came in person to discuss the term but no serious terms were negotiated well. After several negotiations some small terms were accepted by Siara's kingdom.
•The kingdom will let pass the merchants and vehicles through.
•They will not try to attack any native of the
other kingdom included in the terms.
•They will release Prince's friend and royal advisor's son whom they captured.
However, the primary motive of the opposing kingdom was still unfulfilled.
After several months, Siara's father led his army and attacked the kingdom and brought back Siara. But Siara was not happy; instead, she was heartbroken. Although the people who captured her were enemies of her kingdom, they never treated her badly. The maids offered her the utmost comfort. The prince of the kingdom often played with her during her days as a captive. Yet her own kingdom wiped out the entire royal family of the opposing kingdom indiscriminately, regardless of age, gender, or blood purity.
