The shattering of glass bounced off the walls as Liam ran towards Andrea, lifting her in his arms
Liam's heart was covered with concern, his worried eyes scanning Andrea's face: her eyes were shut closed, blood clinging under her nose and lips, her face red with scars
What could have happened? The last time Liam set his eyes on Andrea, she was happy, her face was radiating with excitement as they danced hand in hand but now she was covered in bruises.
"Get out the way" Liam yelled, struggling to get past the small crowd as he carried Andrea into his car
He gently placed Andrea in the back seat and ignited the engine, his hands tightly gripped on the steering wheel
Liam drove to the nearest hospital, his heart racing as he carried Andrea in, the nurses took over, Andrea was taken inside while he was told to wait outside.
Impatient and worried,Liam kept clenching his fist as his legs kept taking him back and forth unable to keep his thoughts in check
Liam thought about two things that could have lead to Andrea's bruised face and fainting
Either she tripped on her face or somebody hurt her
But who would ever hurt Andrea? She's is a kind hearted lady
Different scenarios kept popping into Liam's head and he couldn't pinpoint exactly what happened to Andrea
Her last words echoed in his head
"She's after me"
Who could be after her? Liam wandered, placing a hand on his chest to steady his racing heart

The door opened,revealing a nurse, who looked to be in her last forties, few strands of gray hairs were framing her face.
"How's she?" Liam asked before the nurse could speak, his heart beating rapidly in his chest as he waited for an answer
"She was beaten,slapped and punched a couple of times" The nurse explained. "the scars on her face are a results of beating and her fainting was a result of weakness but I'm glad, it was nothing too serious. She is awake"
Slapped?
Punched?
Who would do something as dumb as laying hands as the woman he loved?
Liam's thought were all over the place, he couldn't believe anyone had the audacity to hurt his Andrea
"May I see her now?" Liam asked,his tone dripping with urgency
"Yes but I advice you keep her out of harms way, she's fragile" with that said, the nurse walked away
Liam ran into the room to see Andrea laying on the bed, her blonde curly hair flying all over the pillow, dried mascara clinging on the sides of her eyes, her lip stick dried and smudged around her lips, her once radiate blue eyes now dull, her face red with scars.
Even in this state, she was still the most beautiful creature, Liam had ever set his eyes on
Andrea's face lit up as she spotted Liam standing by the door, his huge frame blocking the light, his face twisted in anger
Liam walked towards Andrea and immediately pulled her into a hug, his head resting on her chest, the smell of drip flaring up his nostrils
"Ouch" Andrea exclaimed, trying to wiggle out of Liam's tight hold on her body
"Sorry" Liam immediately lifted himself off Andrea, settling on the chair next to the bed
"It's aight,I'm just glad you're here" Andrea placed a hand on Liam's cheek
Andrea's touch was cold and weak just like her voice
A feeling of guilt washed over Liam,his face slanted in disappointment as he watched weak coughs come out of Andrea's mouth.
Liam couldn't help but blame himself, he should have been there, he should have protected her, stopped her from getting hurt but he let himself get carried away and he would never be able to forgive himself
"I'm sorry, I wasn't there when you needed me,I couldn't protect you, I…"
"No" A series of cough escaped Andrea's throat, her voice fraying "You're here now and that's enough" Andrea placed her tiny hands on Liam's huge ones and shot him a small smile
Liam returned the smile, placing a kiss on Andrea's forehead
Liam still felt guilty that he was unable to protect the one he loved the most but seeing Andrea smile, unlocked a new barge of happiness within him
"Who did this to you?" Liam asked,his voice low
Liam fought the urge to ask but curiosity got the best of him, Liam needed to know who was dumb enough to hurt what's his, Liam needed to know who he would be locking behind bars for the rest of their miserable life's.
"Luciana" Andrea said simply.
Liam's hands immediately rolled into fist at the mention of the name
Liam thought of Luciana as many things: a cheat, a spoilt brat, a daddy's girl, a mannerless lady but never a person who was capable of inflicting pain on another.
Luciana had cross the line and Liam was going to make her pay for landing his angel in the hospital, she was going to pay dearly
Liam may have forgiven Luciana when she made Andrea leave him but he sure as hell couldn't forgive Luciana for laying her hands on Andrea.
"She threatened me to stay away from you and I…" tears gathered in Andrea's eyes
Watching a pool of tears gush down Andrea's face felt like Liam was being pierced by a thousand needles.
Liam used his finger tips to wipe her tears as he placed soft kisses on her cheeks
With a deep breath,Andrea continued. "I told her I couldn't and she started hitting me,it felt like I was being suffocated,it felt like air was being knocked out of my lungs" More tears spilled down Andrea's eyes,her eyes turning puffy with every drop
Liam leaned in and pulled her into a hug, one arm wrapped tightly around her waist, the other patting her back gently.
"You're safe now" Liam whispers,placing more kisses on her hair, the scent of coconut oil filling his nose
Luciana had really crossed the line this time,she didn't only lay her hand on Andrea but she also brought tears to her eyes.
Liam vows to inflict pain on Luciana and bring tears to her eyes, the same way she did to Andrea.
