Chapter 199 - YGS [199]

Luya had long since arranged for Xianyun to prepare tutorials on how to make game consoles. With these tutorials, the workers would be able to get the hang of things quickly, and soon they would be able to produce game consoles on their own.

Luya looked around… things here no longer required much of his attention. All that was left was to give everything a little time.

At this point, he could practically lie back and relax—simply waiting for the game consoles to be completed so he could take them out and sell them.

For now, the materials he needed could be purchased through the Liyue Harbor Trading House, so there was no need to use The Chasm's resources.

Afterward, Luya left Guili Plains with Keqing and returned to Liyue Harbor.

The trip there and back had already taken quite a long time.

By the time they arrived, Liyue Harbor had entered the evening hours. The harbor bustled with life, filled with lively crowds. People were joyfully engaged in Yu-Gi-Oh! duels, the heated atmosphere spreading through every corner.

The glow of the setting sun spilled across the harbor, adding a golden tint to the matches.

Keqing and Luya sat together by the harbor, watching the scene unfold.

Keqing smiled brightly, unable to stop herself from resting her head against Luya's shoulder. The two of them were content as they gazed at a Liyue Harbor brimming with dueling spirit.

"Tomorrow is Liyue Harbor's annual Rite of Descension. I still have some preparations to make for work," Keqing said with a smile.

"Then go take care of what you need to do. If you need my help with anything, just say the word," Luya replied softly as she stood.

"Haha, I've done this work for several years already. I'm very familiar with it. You just focus on your own matters." Seeing her confidence, Luya offered no objections. Keqing was already extremely experienced—handling the ceremony would be effortless for her.

The Rite of Descension was Liyue's grand annual ceremony, hosted each year by a different member of the Qixing. The Geo Archon would appear in a half qilin, half dragon form to provide guidance on Liyue's business and development direction for the coming year.

For the people of Liyue Harbor, this day was tremendously important. It determined their path for the year ahead.

Therefore, the Rite was always a magnificent occasion.

However… ever since Luya introduced Yu-Gi-Oh! to Liyue, some people had become so engrossed in it that they had practically forgotten about the Rite altogether.

They were completely absorbed in dueling. For some, the ceremony wasn't even as important as the release date of Luya's game consoles.

Being able to play Yu-Gi-Oh! anytime, anywhere—and buy decks at low prices—was something everyone eagerly anticipated.

Many people were envious of Keqing's Swordsoul deck. From time to time, you could hear people discussing it all over Liyue Harbor.

"Wow, that Swordsoul deck is amazing!"

"Yeah! All those swords turning into monsters—it looks so cool!"

"Right? Not only does it look great, the effects are unbelievably strong too."

"Once the game consoles are released, I'm going to build a Swordsoul deck too."

...

Meanwhile, with the combined efforts of the monster shop attendants and the Knights of Favonius, the duelist tournament registration event in Mondstadt was moving along in a smooth and orderly fashion.

Mondstadt bustled with excitement—the sun bright, the breeze gentle.

People showed enormous interest, whether in becoming duelists themselves or joining the Duelist Guild. Before long, nearly ten thousand people had eagerly signed up.

It was perhaps the liveliest day Mondstadt had seen all year. Not even festivals reached this level of excitement.

The goods in Mondstadt's shop were also selling out rapidly. Beginner decks, duel disks—these items quickly became luxury toys for Mondstadt's nobles.

Ordinary people without much Mora could only watch from afar.

However, with the arrival of the game consoles, soon everyone would be able to play the game destined to sweep across all of Teyvat at a very low cost.

Those with less Mora instead purchased the cheaper Yu-Gi-Oh! scratch cards. They still gave people a taste of what owning Yu-Gi-Oh! cards felt like.

And a few individuals—relying on unbelievable luck—managed to hit the jackpot, winning a prize of ten million Mora in one go. They walked away under the envious stares of onlookers.

Very quickly, Yu-Gi-Oh! scratch cards became popular throughout Mondstadt. The entire stock sold out.

The people of Mondstadt called the Yu-Gi-Oh! scratch cards a remedy capable of changing one's fate—a miracle.

From that day on, Mondstadt was completely enthralled by them.

Cries rang out through the streets:

"Ah! Brother, I'm begging you!"

"I!!!"

"I... I'll just scratch one more!"

...

Meanwhile, in Liyue Harbor, as night deepened and the moon rose high into the sky, the once-bustling streets grew still and quiet. Everyone had returned home to rest.

Luya sat at the entrance of his shop, waiting for Keqing to return.

Right then, Luya looked just like a lonely young man waiting for his wife to come home.

Finally… under Luya's anticipation, the sound of hurried footsteps approached, and Keqing appeared before him.

"Welcome home~" Luya greeted her warmly, just as she had welcomed him the previous day.

Hearing his voice, Keqing gave a gentle smile and fell into his embrace.

At that moment, Keqing's stomach let out an uncooperative growl.

Luya knew she had likely been too busy to eat, so he brought her inside the shop.

He instructed the kitchen to prepare a meal for her.
