Chapter 286 - Chapter 286 The Last Test Question

With Nasha's support, Gale was very confident in Axi's safety. Although the Hippogryph Knight Order were not as strong as the Eternal Knight Order, they were still elite troops of the Kaldorei Empire.

For safety, Nasha would definitely contact Ulduar. Even without the Titan Guardians, the Vrykul alone could ensure that the Faceless Ones would not return.

And so it was. The Faceless Ones, after all their efforts to reach the Snowflow Plains, were immediately met with a devastating counterattack from the Frost Giants.

In this battle, Axi once again demonstrated her extraordinary combat ability. Her talent and strength meant that as long as the enemy couldn't get close, she could wear down even the most powerful Faceless Ones.

The Blue Dragon's Crystal Bow was indeed a rare artifact. While it didn't reach the level of the pillars of creation, it was still a top-tier divine artifact.

Most of the Faceless Ones were killed, with only a few escaping. Axi once again launched a hunt, but this time her team included Frost Giants, Ice Vrykul, and Frostborn Dwarves.

Both the Ice Vrykul and the Frostborn Dwarves were excellent hunters, and Axi learned a great deal from them. However, while Axi was learning, the Faceless Ones vanished without a trace, forcing Axi to embark on her thousand-year long hunt.

She kept her promise: she would not leave Northrend until she had killed every single Faceless One that had escaped.

Gale returned to the Sun Temple, constantly monitoring Axi's situation. Seeing his daughter's immense change, Gale felt deeply relieved.

But when would Aileen grow up?

Gale wanted to let Aileen explore on her own, like Axi. Unfortunately, Aileen wouldn't go anywhere; she just stayed in Sky City.

She treated Sky City as her playground, flying around it every day, never tiring of it.

This made Gale both worried and at ease. Worried about when Aileen would grow up?

At ease because having his daughter by his side, bringing him joy, what could be happier than that?

After decades of construction, the Other Space was finally nearing completion. However, Gale had been delaying the final step because he might be leaving the real world for a long time to stay in the Other Space.

Before the Other Space was fully transformed, even with the Rainbow Bridge, he couldn't easily return to the real world.

Therefore, before entering the Other Space, he had to make proper arrangements for all matters in the real world.

The first thing was to wait for Tydasshid to wake up.

When Gale left the real world, he would inevitably take Maiev with him. So the empire needed a new king, and Tydasshid was the only candidate.

After a century of slumber, Tydasshid finally opened his eyes. It felt like a lifetime had passed; the Kaldorei Empire had developed so rapidly in this century that even he felt unfamiliar with the changes.

The population had exceeded 1.5 million, more than three times what it was when he fell unconscious. The population of Nordrassil also surpassed 100,000. The Kaldorei worked diligently, building Nordrassil into a massive magical city.

The army stationed in Nordrassil also exceeded 5,000, with the Storm Dragon Knights, Hippogryph Knight Order, Night Saber Knights, Nordrassil Guard, and the Morninglight and Shadowsong fleets. All three branches—land, sea, and air—were fully equipped, guarding Nordrassil comprehensively.

Merchant ships at Suramar Port operated day and night, transporting various rare materials from Kalimdor, Northrend, Redridge Mountain, and the Eastern Continent, and then shipping them across the ocean. The huge price difference allowed all merchants involved in maritime trade to make a fortune.

The territory of the Kaldorei Empire had also expanded significantly, not to mention the inherent territories like the Broken Isles and Redridge Mountain.

In Northrend, most of the southern Howling Fjord had become imperial territory. The Kaldorei lived peacefully with the Bearman and Tuskarr, engaging in trade.

The western Borean Tundra also became imperial territory. The Kaldorei and Yak People divided the territory, extending their influence near The Nexus.

This was Gale's retaliation against the Blue Dragon. The Blue Dragon couldn't find a reason to object, and Malygos could only grudgingly accept it.

The reconstruction of Redridge Mountain was still ongoing, but Vashjir and numerous ports had been completed, and the mines had resumed production.

However, the vegetation on the island had not recovered very well, with tree coverage less than 5%.

Although Gale had sealed the spatial rifts between the Fire Source Land and Redridge Mountain, magma still flowed beneath the stones. The resulting heat made it barren, and trees would die after growing to a certain extent. Even the World Tree planted by Nalarex was gradually withering, only sustained by the Druids.

In the northern Eastern Continent, which the Kaldorei Empire called the Dalaran Continent, the Imperial Navy built an excellent harbor, Dalaras Port, in Dalaran Bay (the large bay between Southshore and the Wetlands). Dalaras Port was specifically used to connect with Dalaran and help Dalaran defend against the Trolls east of the Alterac Mountains.

On the Whispering Coast of Tirisfal Glades, the Navy also built Whispering Port, specifically for trade with humans.

In the southern Eastern Continent, which the empire called the Redridge Mountains, the empire reached an agreement with the Earth Spirits and mechanical gnomes who remained to live there: north of Uldaman belonged to the Earth Spirits and mechanical gnomes; south of Uldaman belonged to the Kaldorei Empire.

This agreement established the legitimate rights and interests of the Kaldorei Empire over the entire Redridge Mountains and the areas south of the Redridge Mountains. The only objectors were the Trolls in the southern Redridge Mountains.

For the Kaldorei Empire, the Trolls' opinions were not important. The empire redeployed troops and established a port fortress at the location of Stormwind City in the game, still named Stormwind City.

Centering on Stormwind City, the empire frequently attacked the Trolls. The Trolls also learned their lesson; facing the few Kaldorei, they dared not send a large army to attack, fearing being wiped out by the empire.

In Kalimdor, Gale completed the encirclement of Mount Hyjal. With the convenience of sea routes from Auberdine and Sunrise Harbor, the empire's power expanded rapidly. Sunrise Harbor—Cenarion Thicket—Windshear Hold formed a chain to block the expansion of Mount Hyjal's influence. The only gap was the mountain road between Windshear Hold and the western coast.

In the Azshara region, the empire rebuilt Aredaras. Near Thunder Lake, they established a Windrunner Town. Sunrise Harbor—Windrunner Town—Aredaras formed another blockade line.

Not only that, the Imperial Navy also entered the Thousand Needles Lake, extending its reach into the territory of the Sandfury Trolls, and built a port fortress at the mountain pass leading to Tanaris, named Lakeside Fortress.

Salanar Fortress was built on the western shore of the lake, working with Adal Fortress on the western coast of Feralas to contain Ereylas.

Prince Tothsedrin did not recognize Gale's kingship, and he seemed to have found a way to combat the magic addiction, brazenly blockading Ereylas and forbidding residents within the city from contacting the outside world.

Gale did not conquer Tothsedrin, but left him for Tydasshid as his final test before ascending to the throne.

Tydasshid scratched his head: 'Father, this is too sudden.'
