Each drawn by strong horses.
Butlers seated at the front of many of them, dressed in uniform.
Orderly.
Disciplined.
Prepared.
Rowan blinked once.
"Well, this is a lot."
Footsteps hurried behind him.
Neville came jogging down the steps.
"I knocked on your door when I finished packing," Neville complained. "You didn't even bother waiting for me."
Rowan glanced at him calmly.
"Probably didn't hear it."
Neville narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Yeah. Sure."
Before either of them could continue
"Everyone!"
Kyle's voice rang out across the courtyard.
"All of you, line up!"
Students quickly began forming rows.
"Pick groups of four!" Kyle instructed.
"Four per carriage!"
He gestured toward the long line of vehicles.
"Male and female organize yourselves. Four each!"
The courtyard turned into organized chaos.
Students hurried to group up.
Voices calling out names.
Hands waving.
