He groggily picked up the phone from his bedside table.

William stared at Sophie dumbfounded, then looked up at Langdon on the second floor, who was excitedly talking to the police and pointing at him.
The walkie-talkie on the first-floor police officer's shoulder immediately broadcasted the voice of the second-floor police, "Control that masked guy, a passenger reported that guy is a dangerous individual."
"Understood."
William saw several police officers on the first floor, hands on their holsters, running towards him, shouting as they ran, "Police, stand still!"
Within a few seconds, William was surrounded by several police officers.

These airport police were different from regular police outside.

William took off his mask.

Hearing Sophie claim to be a French police officer, the airport police were not as aggressive, but Langdon was not so lucky.
He was immediately pinned to the ground by the police and handcuffed.
"Your ID, madam, I need your ID," the airport police said to Sophie.
But Sophie had no ID now; she had just been suspended.
Seeing Sophie had no ID, the airport police immediately handcuffed her.
William followed the airport police to the detention room, and after instructing the police to leave, William taunted Sophie and Langdon, who were locked in the room:
"Ha, look who it is.
Professor Langdon, so you've come too.

He had thought his plan was flawless, but he didn't expect Langdon to find a loophole.
To prevent these two from disturbing his search for the Holy Grail, William said to Langdon and Sophie, "Alright, you'll stay here for 48 hours.
After 48 hours, the police will release you.
I have other things to do and won't play with you anymore."
Seeing William was going to lock them up and go find the Holy Grail himself, Langdon quickly said, "I know where you want to go, William.
You want to go to Rosslyn."
William immediately cursed when he heard Langdon's words: "Damn it, shut up, Langdon.
If you say another word, I'll throw you into the Black Rock Dungeon and make sure you never come out."
