"We're almost there," Julian whispers.
Maeve follows quietly behind him. Those horse haelions have excellent hearing.
Julian tries to walk as silently as possible, which is hard when the ground is covered with dry leaves.
But they manage to reach the destination without any incident.
"We're here," Julian whispers. He gestures with open arms, as if presenting a gorgeous house.
Maeve looks around, then at Julian, confused. "I don't see…" She makes a vague motion with her hand, indicating nothing is there.
Julian smiles and walks toward a section of rock wall covered in vines. He pulls the vines aside like a curtain, revealing a cave.
He tilts his head toward the entrance. "Come on in."
He steps inside, holding the vine curtain open for Maeve.
She follows.
Julian closes the vines behind them and walks into the cave.
"What do you think? Not bad, right? I hid here to rest. Those horseys may have excellent hearings, but they have poor eyesight." He says, in low voice.
