Above the canyon, a man hid behind a large rock. He wore a gray robe and a big hood that covered his face. He had a messy beard and looked like he had lived a hard life.
He looked through a small crack to watch what was happening in the canyon below. This man was Tang Hao, the famous Clear Sky Douluo from the Clear Sky Sect.
When he saw the Red King hurt the Ghost Leopard Douluo and the Devil Bear Douluo so easily, he was very surprised. Those were two Titled Douluo, yet they were injured in an instant. Tang Hao frowned under his hood.
He was very confused. He thought to himself that little Chen had joined Spirit Hall a long time ago. He wondered why the people from Spirit Hall were trying to kill him now. They even sent four Titled Douluo to get the job done.
This situation did not make sense to Tang Hao. It was the opposite of what he expected. His mind was a mess as he tried to figure it out.
He wondered if he was wrong about everything. Maybe something big had changed inside Spirit Hall. Or maybe the boy had a secret that made Spirit Hall want him dead no matter what. Many ideas went through his head, but none of them seemed right.
He shook his head to stop the messy thoughts. He decided that now was not the time to think about it. He looked toward the back of the group of carriages. There was a special carriage guarded by Salas. Tang San was inside that carriage.
Tang Hao whispered to himself that everything was a mess down there. Everyone was looking at Tianxing Academy. He knew he had to move fast to save Tang San. He felt this was a perfect chance. He did not wait any longer. His body moved into the shadows and disappeared.
On the other side of the cliff, some men in black masks were watching. They were from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. they were also very shocked by what they saw. They could not believe that four elders from Spirit Hall were beaten so badly by the Red King. It happened so fast. One of the men spoke with a shaky voice.
He told the Vice Clan Leader that he did not expect Tianxing Academy to have such a strong Titled Douluo. The other men nodded. They felt lucky that their leader did not tell them to attack. If they had gone down there, they would have been killed easily. They were not strong enough to fight the Red King.
Another man leaned in and whispered to the Vice Clan Leader. He asked what they should do next. He wanted to know if they should wait or just leave. The Vice Clan Leader looked closely at the Red King. The Red King looked like a god made of fire.
The leader was worried and careful. He said they should not rush. He knew how Spirit Hall worked. He was sure they had a backup plan because this mission was too important to fail with only four people.
Just as he said that, two loud screams filled the air. The sound was so sharp it felt like it could hurt a person's soul. Two bright golden lights flew through the sky like lightning.
The power in those screams was much stronger than what the Ghost Douluo or Devil Bear Douluo had shown. Even the Red King looked up with a serious face.
Then, two voices spoke. One was deep like a bell, and the other was clear. They sounded very proud and powerful. They said they didn't know there was such a strong Titled Douluo hidden on the continent. They wanted to see how strong he really was.
Two figures landed on the ground like golden stars. They were the priests from the Hall of Worship, Thousand Jun Douluo and Demon Subduing Douluo.
They were brothers. In the Spirit Empire, they were the sixth and seventh priests. Individually, they were Level 96 Titled Douluo. That was strong, but not the strongest. However, when they fought together, they were amazing.
Even someone as strong as Qian Daoliu would have a hard time beating them. Together, their power was like a Level 98 Titled Douluo. Their arrival changed the whole battle.
Thousand Jun Douluo looked at the two injured elders who were covered in blood. He told them that he and his brother would stop the Red King. He spoke in a way that showed he was in charge. He told the others to go and catch the blue-haired boy.
He reminded them that the High Priest wanted the boy alive. Then, the two brothers moved like golden lightning. They appeared right in front of and behind the Red King.
They used their Coiling Dragon Rods to attack. The rods made loud whistling sounds as they moved through the air. The brothers worked together perfectly. They were over 120 years old and had practiced together for a long time.
They did not even need to speak to know what the other was doing. Even without using special spirit abilities, they forced the Red King to step back. The Red King felt a lot of pressure. He was stuck in a web of rod shadows and could not find a way to get away.
While the brothers fought the Red King, a loud boom came from where Tang San was. There were screams from the Temple Knights. Something was going wrong over there too. Ghost Leopard Douluo stood up even though he was in a lot of pain.
He spat out some blood and told Devil Bear Douluo they had to hurry. He said they should work together to kill the boy first and then go help Salas. They knew that if Tang San was taken away, they would fail their mission.
Devil Bear Douluo was badly hurt, but a Titled Douluo is very hard to kill. He had a mean look in his eyes and nodded. The two of them used the rest of their power and ran toward Tang Chen. They looked like two angry, bleeding monsters.
Tang Chen saw them coming. He could see they were desperate to kill him. He knew he and Xiao Ruier were not strong enough to fight two Titled Douluo, even if the enemies were hurt. If they fought, they would probably die.
Tang Chen had an idea. He looked toward the noise where the explosion happened. He realized Tang Hao was trying to save Tang San. He smiled in a cold way. He thought to himself that if he was in trouble, he would make sure Tang Hao was in trouble too. He wanted to see if the two elders would keep chasing him if he led them to Tang San.
He did not wait. A bright blue and gold light came from his right leg. It was the special power from his Blue Silver Emperor bone. He grabbed Xiao Ruier and they flew through the air like a golden arrow. They did not try to fight the elders.
Instead, they flew straight toward the place where Tang San and Tang Hao were. He wanted to bring the angry Titled Douluo right to them. He thought this was the only way to survive the mess. It was a very smart and mean plan.
Ghost Leopard Douluo and Devil Bear Douluo stopped for a second when they saw him move. They were angry when they realized what he was doing. They knew the High Priest wanted him alive, but things were getting complicated near Salas.
They didn't have orders to keep Tang San safe, only to finish the job. They growled in anger and started to chase him. They were determined not to let him get away, no matter where he flew. The whole canyon was now a place of complete chaos as everyone moved toward the same spot.
