"Is this Chloe?", the woman asked, "yes, it's me, where should we meet?." Chloe replied "where we met the last time" the woman said.
Chloe packed her bags and the documents Ava had given her and rode off to the old warehouse. As she got there, she saw the woman and said she was ready to work with her. The woman gave Chloe some other documents. As she scanned through the documents, she felt a chill run down her spine. The papers revealed a web of deceit and corruption that went far beyond Max's simple revenge plot. It seemed that Max was just a pawn in a much larger game, one that involved some of the most powerful people in the city, and to take down these people, they needed to take down their player, Max.
The mysterious woman who introduced herself as Ava, explained that she had been working to take down the corrupt organization from the inside. She had been gathering evidence and building a case against them, but she needed Chloe's help to bring them down.
Chloe was torn, part of her wanted to trust Ava and work with her to take down the organization but another part of her still had some doubts. Chloe overlooked the doubts and concluded to trust Ava.
"What do you want me to do?."Chloe asked Ava, still trying to keep her emotions in check.
Ava smiled, "I want you to help me gather more evidence. We need to get inside the organization's headquarters and gather proof of their wrongdoings. Can you do that for me?" Chloe hesitated, unsure of what to do. But as she looked at the documents Ava had given her, she knew she had to act. She couldn't just sit back and watch the corrupt organization continue to harm people.
"But what about my parents death, waht do you know about it?" Chloe asked. "I'm sure you already know that Max's father, Alex, killed your parents but why? Do you know the reason? Ava asked and chloe nodded her head.
" This is it, your mother inherited the Roger's wealth legally cause it was given to her by Julian Rogers. Ethan, your father, was Julian's son and he was furious because he had thought that he would inherit his father's wealth. Later on, Sophia and Ethan found themselves on a collision course and from there on, their relationship became stronger. Together they broke the century old curse, took down Eclytal of which is still alive and because of that, Alex made them his enemy and when he got the opportunity, he killed them" Ava explained, she noticed that tears were forming in Chloe's eyes and she embraced her.
Chloe felt the motherly hug, she missed her parents most especially, her mother, she wanted to see them again. Her determination hardened, she had to avenge, no matter what, she will overcome it.
"Okay, I'll do it" Chloe said releasing herself from the embrace while wiping away her tears. Ava smiled, a look of satisfaction on her face. "I knew I could count on you, Chloe. Let's get to work."
As they began to make plans, even with everything Ava had told Chloe, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was walking into a trap, but she was determined to see this through, no matter what.
Max's building:
"Why can't you do things right!, you're so clumsy!, where the hell did you put your senses when you were arranging it! I can't bring myself to like you good for nothing whore!" Max yelled and cursed at Rose.
"I'm really sorry, I won't repeat the same mistake again, forgive me" Rose cried while kneeling. Max was filled with rage and for the first time, raised his hands at Rose. Rose wept uncontrollably as she held her cheeks tightly. "It was a mistake, I thought you were perfect, what sort of silly mistake is this! Find a way to rectify your so-called mistake or I send you back to where you belong!" Max lashed out at Rose.
This was the third time something like this would happen to Rose. The first time she messed up an important file, Max threatened to send her back to her lowly life. The second time, he said the same thing, Rose looked scared because she doesn't know whether he meant it this time or not.
"I will make sure I escape from this place and flee away from this country, I will make your life miserable and a living hell, mark my words Max Roderson" Rose welled up in her thoughts, when Max snapped his fingers twice and she was brought back to reality.
