Inside the Five Kage Summit hall, silence lingered after Obito's declaration.
A declaration of war.
Against the entire shinobi world.
No one present had expected the situation to escalate so quickly.
The Fourth Raikage's expression darkened.
"You're declaring war with a single person?"
His voice carried open contempt.
Obito stood calmly at the center of the chamber.
"A single person?"
A faint chuckle escaped him.
"You still don't understand."
The air suddenly grew heavier.
His Sharingan slowly rotated.
"The moment this war begins, the entire world will be dragged into it."
The Tsuchikage frowned.
"Arrogant."
The Mizukage crossed her arms.
"Or suicidal."
Gaara remained silent.
Yet beneath the table, his fingers had tightened slightly.
Unlike the others, he understood how dangerous fanatical conviction could become.
Because he had once walked a similar path himself.
Obito looked around the room one final time.
"I've delivered my message."
"Prepare yourselves."
Space began to distort around him.
Kamui.
The Kage immediately recognized the technique.
The Raikage exploded forward.
"Don't think you're leaving so easily!"
Lightning Armor burst around his body.
His speed reached its peak.
The distance vanished instantly.
His fist crashed toward Obito's head.
Yet once again, it passed harmlessly through empty space.
The distortion expanded.
Obito's body gradually disappeared.
Before vanishing completely, his gaze settled on Tsunade.
Then he spoke.
"Tell Naruto."
The room stiffened.
Obito's voice grew colder.
"I'm looking forward to our next meeting."
The distortion swallowed him.
Then he was gone.
For several seconds, nobody spoke.
The conference hall remained deathly quiet.
The Raikage slammed his fist onto the table.
BOOM!
The massive stone table cracked instantly.
"Damn it!"
The veins on his forehead bulged.
Having an enemy walk into the heart of the summit and leave unharmed was humiliating.
The Tsuchikage sighed.
"Getting angry won't change anything."
"It'll make me feel better."
"That's not the same thing."
The Mizukage rubbed her forehead.
The situation was rapidly becoming more complicated than anyone had anticipated.
A mysterious masked man.
Akatsuki.
The tailed beasts.
A global war.
None of it was good news.
Then Gaara suddenly spoke.
"There's something else."
Everyone looked toward him.
The young Kazekage's expression remained calm.
"He specifically mentioned Naruto."
The room grew quiet again.
That detail hadn't escaped anyone.
The Tsuchikage narrowed his eyes.
"Interesting."
The Raikage folded his arms.
"You know something?"
Gaara nodded slightly.
"I fought alongside him before."
The memories of the previous war and Naruto's influence still remained vivid.
"He changes people."
The statement confused several Kage.
Gaara continued.
"Naruto convinced me that people can choose a different path."
The Raikage frowned.
"What does that have to do with this?"
Gaara's gaze turned toward the empty space where Obito had vanished.
"Everything."
"Because whatever Obito fears..."
"He fears Naruto."
The room fell silent.
Nobody could immediately refute that conclusion.
Meanwhile.
Hundreds of kilometers away.
Konoha.
Naruto was sitting on the roof of his house.
A gentle breeze rustled through the trees.
Kurama's voice suddenly echoed inside his mind.
"So."
"You sensed it?"
Naruto grinned.
"Yeah."
Kurama snorted.
"That masked fool finally made his move."
Naruto stretched lazily.
"He declared war."
Kurama wasn't surprised.
"Sounds like him."
For a moment, neither spoke.
Then Naruto's expression gradually became serious.
The time for preparation was ending.
The pieces were finally moving.
The war Obito wanted was approaching.
But unlike the original timeline, things were different now.
Very different.
Nagato was alive.
Konan was alive.
Jiraiya was alive.
The Akatsuki leader had switched sides.
And most importantly...
Naruto himself was far stronger than he had ever been.
Footsteps sounded behind him.
He turned.
Nagato approached first.
Konan followed shortly after.
Sasuke arrived a few moments later.
Even Hinata was present.
The core of Konoha's next generation was gathering naturally.
Nagato looked at him.
"The summit?"
Naruto nodded.
"He showed up."
Konan sighed.
"Of course he did."
Sasuke folded his arms.
"And?"
Naruto stood.
A confident smile appeared on his face.
"He declared war."
No one seemed particularly surprised.
The only reaction came from Sasuke.
His lips curled upward slightly.
"Good."
Naruto laughed.
"That's exactly what I thought."
Nagato shook his head helplessly.
Only these two would react to a world war with excitement.
Then Naruto's expression sharpened.
The playful atmosphere disappeared instantly.
His blue eyes scanned the group.
"It's time."
Everyone's attention focused on him.
Naruto continued.
"Obito thinks he's still controlling the board."
"But he isn't."
"He thinks he's the one moving the pieces."
A grin slowly spread across his face.
"So let's prove him wrong."
Golden chakra flickered around him.
The pressure instantly filled the rooftop.
Even Nagato felt a surge of surprise.
Every time Naruto released his power, it seemed stronger than before.
Naruto looked toward the distant horizon.
Toward the gathering storm.
Toward the future.
And toward the battlefield that would soon decide the fate of the shinobi world.
"Let the war begin."
Far away, hidden in darkness, Black Zetsu suddenly felt an uneasy chill.
For reasons he couldn't explain...
He had a feeling things were about to spiral completely out of control.
